Samantha Tamania Anne Cecilia Mumba (born January 18 1983) is a Grammy Award-nominated Irish singer, actress and occasional model. Her first album was released in 2000 and achieved international success. Although her follow-up album was canceled because of record company difficulties, she is said to be releasing another second studio album soon. As well as being a singer, she is also an actress; her most notable role was Mara in the 2002 film The Time Machine. She has also appeared in a number of Irish independent films.
Samantha Mumba was born in Dublin, Ireland. Her father, Peter Mumba, is a Zambian aircraft engineer and her mother Barbara is an Irish woman who works as a cabin crew member with the Irish airline Aer Lingus. Her brother, Omero Mumba, is an actor. Samantha Mumba attended Dublin's renowned Billie Barry Stage School from ages 3 to 15. In 1998, Mumba was cast as the lead in The Hot Mikado, a jazzy production based on Gilbert and Sullivan's opera.

Boy Eats Girl is a 2005 horror film directed by Stephen Bradley and starring Samantha Mumba.
Nathan (David Leon) is already having a bad day, and he doesn't need his mother, Grace (Deirdre O’Kane), show up at the school gates, mid-way through Boy Eats Girl. But she knows something Nathan doesn't. She knows Nathan is dead. For any horror-movie-lover, they know that the only way for Nathan to be dead but up and running, is because he really is a ZOMBIE!
Grace knows this cause she was the one who brought him back to life the night before using an ancient voodoo ritual involving dead chickens. She had to do this because Nathan had drunk too much whisky and accidentally hanged himself in his bedroom after seeing his girlfriend, Jessica (Samantha Mumba), apparently going down on a creepy school mate who happened to have a flash car.
