Sammo Hung (Traditional Chinese: 洪金寶; Simplified Chinese: 洪金宝; Pinyin: Hóng Jīnbǎo; Cantonese: Hung4 Gam1 Bou2) (born January 7, 1952) is a Chinese actor, producer and director known for his work in many Kung fu films and Hong Kong action cinema. He has choreographed fight scenes for, amongst others, Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, King Hu, Stephen Chow and John Woo.
Hung was among the pivotal figures who, spearheading the Hong Kong New Wave movement of the 1980s, helped reinvent the martial arts genre and started the Jiang Shi (hopping vampire) genre.
In East Asia, it is common for people to address their elders or influential people with familial nouns as a sign of familiarity and respect. Jackie Chan, for example, is often addressed as "Dai Goh", meaning Big Brother. Hung as the eldest of the kung fu "brothers" is known by the nickname "Dai Goh Dai", meaning Biggest Big Brother.

SPL: Sha Po Lang (殺破狼, US title: Kill Zone) is a 2005 Hong Kong martial arts-crime film directed by Wilson Yip. It stars Simon Yam, Sammo Hung, Wu Jing and Donnie Yen. Yam portrays a retiring police detective who resorts to the use of questionable methods in order to catch Wong Po, a ruthless Triad boss (Hung).

Wheels on Meals (Kuàicān Chē) is a 1984 Hong Kong action film directed by Sammo Hung, starring Hung, Jackie Chan and Yuen Biao. In some releases, the film was released under alternative titles including Spartan X, Weapon X, Spanish Connection and Million Dollar Heiress.
The three action star brothers, Chan, Yuen and Hung, are longtime friends and had been Peking Opera School colleaugues in their youth. The release of Wheels on Meals came in the midst of their most prolific period working together. The three men had acted together on Chan's Project A and the first of Hung's original Lucky Stars trilogy, Winners and Sinners in 1983. Wheels on Meals was released in 1984, and a year later they were reunited twice more for the Lucky Stars semi-sequels My Lucky Stars and Twinkle, Twinkle Lucky Stars. This was something of a golden period for Hong Kong cinema-goers, as three of the nation's most loved action stars performed together on screen.

Game of Death (Chinese: 死亡遊戲) was the film Bruce Lee had planned to be the demonstration piece of his martial art Jeet Kune Do . Ninety plus minutes of footage was shot before his death, some of which was later lost[clarify] and has not yet been recovered (such as one fighter attacking Dan Inosanto with a thin log). The remaining footage has been released with Bruce Lee's original English dubbing as part of the documentary entitled Bruce Lee: A Warrior's Journey. Most of the footage which was shot is from what was to be the centre piece of the film.
While in the middle of filming Game of Death, Bruce Lee was given the offer to star in Enter the Dragon. The first kung fu film to be produced by a Hollywood studio, and with a budget unprecedented for the genre, it was an offer Lee couldn't refuse. Unfortunately, Lee died of cerebral edema before the film's release. At the time of his death, he had already made plans to resume the filming of Game of Death.
