Sarah Carter (October 30, 1980) is a Canadian actress born in Toronto, Ontario. She is best known for playing Helena Douglas in DOA: Dead or Alive & Alicia Baker, in Smallville. She is currently playing Madeline Poe in Shark alongside James Woods.
Sarah Carter was born in Toronto and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. At school she was a dancer and also took part in various school plays including playing Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz.
She was only a teenager when she began her acting career in the theater in A Chorus Line, The Sound of Music, and The Wizard of Oz.
She was also a member of the debate team, which allowed her to travel all over the world. After graduation she took a year off to see Europe, then joined Ryerson Theater School in Toronto, where she was discovered while performing a monologue.
Carter quickly landed her first guest appearance in the series Wolf Lake (2001) and followed that up with a turn in Dark Angel (2000). She then went on to guest in the series Undeclared...

Skinwalkers is an Canadian horror-action film about werewolves, and scheduled for release in the United States on August 10, 2007. Directed by James Isaacs, it stars Jason Behr, Elias Koteas, Rhona Mitra, and Tom Jackson. The film was originally announced for theatrical release on December 1, 2006, but was later pushed to March 30, 2007, and July 27, and finally August 10.
Skinwalkers marks Lions Gate Entertainment's first collaboration with Constantin Films, which produced such other other science fiction/horror films as Resident Evil, Resident Evil: Apocalypse, and Wrong Turn. The visual effects are by effects house Mr. X, and the creature effects by Stan Winston Studio.
