on July 31, 2003 I attended my first WNBA game. i had only laughed at the slogans "we got next" and was prepared to be bored out of my mind on an evening I was only trying to impress my date showing fake interest in something i knew nothing about. that night FOREVER changed my life......and for the better! it was that night an AMAZING young woman by the name of LAUREN JACKSON took center stage and my heart in an incredible performance scoring 23pts and grabbing 20 rebounds. the jubilation and excitement by the fans, and surrounding players will never escape my memory. it was the humble innocent beginning of an ultimate OBSESSION i now have for the WNBA! from sitting in the FINAL ROW at the very top of the KEY to celebrate our cities first World Champion since 1979, to sitting FRONT ROW in my Season seats cheering on the STORM (and sometimes the guest team) i have nothing but respect for the women who have come, gone, and stayed with the WNBA. i have decided to put together this two part SEATTLE STORM celebration to honor MY TEAM! as life rolls on i most likely will be spending my last season in Seattle in 2010. THANK YOU SEATTLE...thank you for the unforgettable memories, the amazing talents, and tear jerking moments i will NEVER forget. Now if we can just GET IT DONE in 2010..send me away with a championship...nobody deserves it more! All Copyrights to When you love someone belong to Kid Rock.
