We let our daughter read Gettysburg Address for the first time. Nowadays she is such a joker and class clown that she would first read backward from bottom up, then faster mode from the top and then using robot voice. We haven't taught her phonics yet, but from the video, she seemed to know phonics and how to correct her own pronunciation. Our daughter seemed to have an explosion of accelerated self learning after 18 months. By 19 months, she has learned all 26 alphabet letters (upper & lower cases and demonstrated simple two letters spelling on her own by holding 'N' and 'O' on each hand and said 'N' 'O' 'NO') and can read 150+ English words, including counting all the numbers from 1 to 19 plus their English words counterparts, recognized all the shapes up to octagon (she would still only say 'OCT-GON') and their word counterparts, and recognized all 11 basic colors including their words counterpart and formed phrases with different colors by herself like 'white car'. She likes to play alphabet and shapes puzzles. Around 19 months 3 weeks old, as we were walking at a shopping mall, she all sudden on her own spelled out 'C' 'A' 'M' 'E' 'R' 'A' and said 'CAMERA'. We then realized she was looking at a store sign. She then said 'DADDY CAMERA' because she often saw Daddy carrying a big camera and was linking 'camera' to 'Daddy'. Another time, we walked by a STOP sign, she said 'OCT-GON' and then tried to climb that STOP sign. She really loves octagon shape, LOL. She also ...
Sincerely apologize for sound quality - WE LIKE APPLE! Please help remedy this. Apple Genius told us not to use our iPhones because 'iCloud caused the issues with your new MACBOOK PRO." NEW MBP FROZEN. Not Cloud Atlas. iCloud. Really??? Doing this through the NORMAL channels (not contacting connections within Apple) has proven ineffective. If this is the new Apple, how will it treat my Mother if one of her new Apple products will not function? We are still appreciative of Apple - it is the ONLY OPTION for us w/ ADD and Dyslexic. When I was a small child, Apple's 'caring' 'simple' machines helped me. I LIKE Apple. 1. Contacted Customer Relations (Executive office) due to AppleCare failures (wasting our time with Engineers that make us try to be a geek, fixing our own machine) 2. Genius Bar Rep. stated that iCloud is the worst thing about Apple, and the cause of problem 5. Genius Bar Rep. told us to do time machine backup, separately remove most important files. 6. Genius Bar Rep. insisted we NOT use the backup on this or future computers as it could contain the issues caused by iCloud 7. Motivational speaking is a beautiful thing. Negative comments or dislikes come from those that are bored, and yes, I understand, that boredom would be a horrible state of being. For this reason, such words as this are here to teach you how to see past the negative, to come to the positive, to live in a new hope, to find life. To get past the hypnotic state, to rise up from the farm where you've toiled for, looking back over your life, likely feels like nothing. To say goodbye to the gin, see a new morning and do the work you love. But you need to know how to get past the lame, and ancient knowledge could hold the mystery to the kim-possible in your life. See the landscape of the uncanny poetry in your heart, do the ventures, find mental health. The elusive rational thinking that leads you to waste valuable time leaving negative comments, striking dislikes, this is the work of a bully, bullying to cause others to be the victim while the rest of us work in realms that are not considered what sucks. Bullies are against good things, which causes things to rust and decay. A classic oldie, song and sketch by Maria (Sonia Manzano) and Gina (Alison Bartlett) - all about the word No. Sounds like a parody of an 80's song. Taken from original TV broadcast (transferred to DVD), I'm sorry if the quality is not the best. I think the episode(s) it came from is about 1997 though the sketch itself is probably from the 1980's.

This is a parody of a "Sesame Street" sketch I remember from when I was a few years old. At the beginning, I make the pencil repeatedly say "Dance" forwards and backwards, and then my favorite YouTube Poop word forwards and backwards. As the pencil erases, I say a weird phrase I made up when I was a few years old: "Erase a buh buh buh buh, shif shif." I was a weird little boy, wasn't I? Not too long ago, I record myself saying the phrase, and "shif" happens to be "fish" backwards (I reversed the recording using Audacity), so I put text on the bottom of the screen translating the backwards English word "shif" to the forwards English word "fish." That's what I heard in my mind whenever someone using a pencil sweeped away eraser bits after the "erase a buh buh buh buh" during the erasing. At the end, I put an instrumental of a song this sketch reminds me of.

Google TechTalks May 12, 2006 Eamonn Keogh ABSTRACT The problem of indexing large collections of time series and images has received much attention in the last decade, however we argue that there is potentially great untapped utility in data mining such collections. Consider the following two concrete examples of problems in data mining. Motif Discovery (duplication detection): Given a large repository of time series or images, find approximately repeated patterns/images. Discord Discovery: Given a large repository of time series or images, find the most unusual time series/image. As we will show, both these problems have applications in fields as diverse as anthropology, crime...
