Paul Oakenfold (* 30th August in London) is worldwide a producer and one of the best known DJs. In 1987 spent Oakenfold and his friends Trevor Fung and Ian St paul several months on the Spanish island Ibiza where they been enthusiastic about the dance club music. Under the influence of the sounds of Ibiza, Italian disco, soul and House music, produced Oakenfold the Happily Mondays' Pills ´ of n' of Thrills' of n' Bellyaches, followed by productions for U2, massive Attack, Arrested Development, The Cure, Snoop Doggy Dogg, Ice Cube, Simply Red, New order and The Shamen from which many appeared with his label Perfecto Records. However, Oakenfold produced not only, but also mixed. Already as a teenager he appeared as a DJ, and in the 1990th he celebrated his climax as a DJ in the Cream's from 1997 to 1999. During this time he started to concentrate with trance port upon the US-American audience. The album arrived safely in the US trance scene and was accepted even by the "normal" music audience. His fame grew by his work on the soundtrack to passport Word Swordfish, matrix Reloaded, matrix Revolutions, the Bourne identity and Collateral. In 2002 Oakenfold brought out his first solo album Bunkka with which he cooperated with artists like Nelly Furtado (The Harder They Come), Emiliana Torrini (Sweetly Your hand) and Shifty Shellshock, to the front man of Crazy Town (Starry Eyed Surprise).
