MargaBandhu (Chorus) This collection sung and composed by Vijayaa Shankar sounds more like light music than mantras, since the verses are rendered like any other song, with a number of accompanying instruments like the pakhawaj, the santoor, the flute, the dilruba, a mandolin and keyboards, etc. There is also a chorus of singers from time to time. While some of the renditions are melodious all right, the treatment would seem more appropriate for lyrics with less stature than the Mahamrityunjaya mantra, or the Shiva Panchaakshari stotra, for example. The prayer ends with your asking His forgiveness for all your sins. It's a wonderful prayer for those of us who would like to worship Lord Shiva in this way, but can't, for whatever reason.
