25+ years, I still love seeing these Shuttle launches!
Four synchronized videos showing the launch of the Space Shuttle Endeavour, lifting off on July 15, STS-127. The three cameras mounted on the left booster showing the shuttle's aft, rear view and the intertank were perfectly synchronized to show the long trip of boosters down to ocean, while the main video shows the shuttle still carrying the main tank on its travel to ISS. Pay attention to the audio of the booster cameras when they reach the atmosphere and how the air starts to destabilize them, really cool stuff! Enjoy! ¡Disfruten!
This is Shuttle Endeavour STS-127 which launched on July 15, 2009. This is as close as you can get to the launch. I was enjoying the launch and did not bother to move the camera when the shuttle left the camera's view (sorry, but didn't want distractions).
Launch of the space shuttle Endeavour (Mission STS-127) from the Kennedy Space Center on July 15, 2009. Viewed from the Visitor Complex. It was by pure coincidence that the space shuttle was launched (after 6 delays) on the same day that we had planned to visit KSC during our vacation in Florida. We are fortunate to be able to witness this special event.

Marcia Dunn Associated Press CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. - After more than a month's delay, the space shuttle Endeavour and seven astronauts thundered into orbit Wednesday on a flight to the international space station, hauling up a veranda for Japan's enormous lab and looking to set a record for the biggest crowd in space. Success came on launch try No. 6, on the eve of the 40th anniversary of the liftoff of man's first moon landing. But the mood was dampened somewhat when NASA managers watched the launch video. Eight or nine pieces of foam insulation came off the external fuel tank during liftoff, and the shuttle was hit at least two or three times, said Bill Gerstenmaier, nasa's space operations chief. Some scuff marks were spotted on the belly, but that probably is coating loss and considered minor, he said. In fact, Mission Control told the astronauts Wednesday night that the damage — which occurred not quite two minutes into the flight — looked to be less extensive than what occurred on the last flight. Engineers immediately began reviewing all the launch pictures, standard procedure ever since flights resumed following the Columbia disaster. Gerstenmaier said zoom-in photos will be taken of the entire shuttle right before it docks with the space station Friday, to ascertain whether it suffered any serious damage. It will take days to go through all the data. "The bottom line is we saw some stuff," said Mike Moses, chairman of the mission management team. "Some of it doesn ...

The STS-127 Shuttle Endeavor finally launched on July 15, 2009!
Finally, on its sixth attempt, the shuttle launched! Godspeed to the crew and the craft! Update: Hearst Broadcasting has somehow decided that they own NASA TV and this somehow belongs to them. I can assure you that I have nothing belonging to Hearst in this video! They're simply resource mongers that want anything they can get a few bucks from advertising off of. We must all combat predators like this or it will be the end of Youtube!! Video provided by NASA TV and music by Incompetech. If anyone claims ownership of this video beyond those two, rest assured it's not theirs.

Launch of space shuttle Endeavour and its seven astronauts on a mission to the International Space Station. Endeavour lifted off from Kennedy Space Space at 6:03 pm on July 15. Eight-and-a-half minutes after launch, space shuttle Endeavour has reached orbit and is on its way to the International Space Station. Even at 17500 mph, it will take the shuttle two days to catch up to and dock with the station. The crew will conduct five spacewalks and install the last piece of the Japanese "Kibo" space laboratory complex on the International Space Station during the flight. Endeavour is scheduled to return to Earth in 16 days.
