View the entire full length video at vimeo.com For time immemorial Snoqualmie Falls has been a sacred site to the Pacific Northwests native people, a place whose thundering waters and soaring mists harbor deep spiritual power. In the 1880s, a young man gazed upon Snoqualmie Falls magnificent, cascading flows and envisioned an entirely different kind of power. This is the story of that enterprising civil engineer and his remarkable quest to harness Snoqualmie Falls energy and build the worlds first completely underground hydropower plant, deep within towering falls granite shoulder.

Wanted to get some more testing in with my new camera so I went back up to Snoqualmie Falls but this time went down to the lower area and went out onto rock area to get some close ups. It started to rain toward the end of shooting but earlier it was a very nice day for a hike to lower area. It is a trail that is about .5 miles down a steep hill path in wooded area. Going down is easy but save some energy for the hike up. This is a follow up to on of my earlier videos so I hope you enjoy. The falls are close to North Bend, WA just a few miles off of Interstate 90. Please Rate, Comment and Subscribe to my videos if you like. Thank you dwpetersen moteev. ps. This was filmed with my new Panasonic HDC-SD9 in High Definition then imported into iMovie 08 for editing.
