We had originally planned the remake a clip from Layer Cake, this fell through due to a late minute problem with actors and a location so we switched to this scene from Control (2007). It took 3 days from the choice of clip to printing it to tape for the hand in so we are all quite pleased with the result. In April 2009, Mammoth Mountain held its first annual Mammoth Invitational to benefit the Mammoth Center for Excellence. We (Douglas & Nora MacLellan) participated by sponsoring a team and we called ourselves the 'Country of Hawaii'. Surfing legends Sen. Fred Hemmings & David Kalama were our team Captain/Coach respectfully. The rest of the team was rounded out by Ed Schuyler (Designs Unlimited), Corty Lawrence (Footloose Sports) & Judge Ed Forstenzer, Superior Court Judge of Mono County, joining the team sponsor Douglas MacLellan. While we all had a great time, we also took time out to mourn the loss of Andrea Mead-Lawrence, Olympic champion (Corty's mother) who passed away just days before.
