I started recording the TV and radio broadcasts of Penguins games in early March when the Penguins were in the middle of a franchise record 5 win road series. Despite the wins, chances for a hockey championship in Pittsburgh at that point in the season seemed very small. But the Penguins rallied the rest of the way to cap off an amazing Stanley Cup-winning season, and Mike Lange was with them the whole way. Out of the more than 110 highlights I recorded, here are what I feel are his best calls of the Penguins' remarkable 2008-09 season. Thanks to nhltorrents for their excellent caps of playoffs games when my TV tuner started to crap out. Part 4: The Stanley Cup Finals.
This is a montage I put together from videos and photos that I took from inside Joe Louis Arena during Game 7 of The Stanley Cup Finals. You'll see the final 16.1 seconds of the game, the handshakes, the trophy presentations, and some post game celebrating. What a great night to be a Pens fan!!!

Pittsburgh Penguins 2009 Stanley Cup Champions tribute. Here is a movie I did a few hours after Pittsburgh winning the Stanley Cup. I took for them since they had many Quebec players... Fleury, Letang, Boucher, Dupuis, Garon, and the big Hero of this series Maxime Talbot. Crosby was a Habs fan when growing up and maybe one day he wil lplay here hehe... I hope the fans enjoy this movie, the song is the same song that the cbc Station showed back in 1993 when the Montreal Canadiens won the cup. Unfortunately they did not win this year :( But I still l decided to use this song for the Champions my second favorite team the Penguins. I'm happy for Mario Lemieux winning as a owner. Good job guys we are proud of you! Next year will see the habs vs the pens in the conferences finals ok? lol... It's funny how Talbot said he was use to playing in game #7's when he was young in street hockey with friends, so he wasn't nervous lol... And there he goes and scores the 2 goals of the game lol. YES WE DID!!! CITY OF CHAMPIONS!!! I LOVE THIS TEAM!!! I LOVE THIS CITY!!! This season will be one that as Pens fans we will NEVER forget. Going through what this team did in January and February, and to end up here? It's just incredible. It's almost too good for a script, because it just doesn't happen. But it did this year, with this team. It is so sweet to see Hossa watch as the Pens celebrate, to see him shake the hands of his former teammates. He made a choice, and his choice got him this result, having to watch the Cup be hoisted by the opposite team two years in a row. I don't feel sorry for him at all. However, congrats to the rest of the Wings. It was one hell of a series. The Wings fans that stayed were respectful, like the Pens were last year. I thought there was a chance they would boo when Crosby got the Cup, but they did not. Thank you. To the Pens fans, no need to kick them while they are down, let's celebrate OUR team!! 2009 PITTSBURGH PENGUINS: STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS!!!
They said "thank you very much for Hossa" They said we couldn't come back from an 0-2 series. They said they were not the same as the Washington Captials. They said we couldn't take 4 of 5 from the Wings. They said we couldn't win once Datsyuk was back. They said Fleury couldn't be a winning goalie. They said we couldn't win in Detroit. ...They said we wouldn't make the playoffs. .......They said we couldn't get a new arena. All I have to say to that is: YES! WE! DID!!!! WOOOOOOO!!!! 2009 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS!!!! Talbot would have already gone down in Penguins history as a legend for his Game 5 goal last year. With two goals in this game for the Cup, what is better than a legend? A SUPERSTAR?!!!! This is part 1, the gameplay part of the epic game 7. Part 2 will include the handshakes and the celebrations. I will make a video response.
