Stevie Wonder broke down and nearly cried in the middle of a major televised performance and it was all because of Michael Jackson. The emotional breakdown occurred on-stage at the Rock and Roll 25th Hall of Fame Anniversary Concert which aired on HBO this weekend.
Of all the legends that were on the stage that night in October, this was by far the most special to me. Stevie Wonder was singing Michael Jackson's "The Way You Make Me Feel" with special guest John Legend and about 45 seconds into the video he starts to break down. At first I thought he was passing out, but the true professional was just taking a moment to collect himself. Sincerely a great moment I was honored to witness. I hope HBO doesn't edit this out of their televised special....
This is a video response with a breakdown of the D6 riff in Superstition. I've loaded an original master track of the "secondary" Clavinet part onto my RD, then played the "Funky D" patch over it. Sounds raw as there are no effects applied: these are effectively the vanilla instrument parts, though I'm under no illusion about my playing compared to the great Stevie Wonder! Technology has made something other-wise impossible, possible; namely a beginner keyboard playing fan having the chance ...

We heard shouting from the computer room. Something about Mr. 1980 and a Stevie Wonder forum. When we managed to break the door down, MC was nowhere to be seen. All we found was this video, and lots of blood.
