2nd flight @ Stuart Beach, Dale on the cam, my 1st flight. As always, all the action happened after this flight, when there was no cameraman around! After the catch, we reloaded w/ fresh batteries and did our FIRST dual flight! It was pretty cool, my bird is considerably slower, but the 7x4 prop (master airscrew) I have on allows some great punch outs. At the end of the flight, I went to catch mine & another 1st ! I missed the catch & it torpedo'd me in the chest before landing upside down on the sand...LOVELY ! It gets better... then I picked it up & therw it again, went about 50 feet out, 40+ feet up, nice angle of slow climb, I started a nice lazy right turn and the battery for my DX7 FELL ON MY FOOT! Of course we all know how that ended....me climbing the beach condo boardwalk over 2 gates specifically designed to keep people out, but there was no damage!! I came back the way I came 30 mins later & changed the battery again & threw it again...on HIGH rates...outta control nose over-face plant-sand explosion about 30 feet away! At this point, I have no self control whatsoever & am daring the plane to kill itself! So I throw it again, great flight, good catch, no nothing! So sunglasses DVR is in R&D right now, solo recording ability to follow the flight, stay tuned for more vids, I just got the T-Rex 450 back in the air today but tried idle up & the bird slammed itself down from 5 feet up & busted both tail struts & the CF boom...another great opportunity for sunglass ...
First flight, about 645pm, Stuart Beach FL. The real action happened on the second flight, where I did a fast flyaway launch, up & left almost 90 degrees, to about 200 or 250 feet up, nosed over to a vert dive then pull up coming right back at me, then ... not enough up and WOT equals SLAM! right into the edge of the surf & the beach 20 feet in front of me! Not a good flying day for me! Toasted esc (eflight 25), possibly toasted ar7000, battery OK, airframe OK, motor possibly OK, hs-65mg's, SECOND dunk for them in the ocean(!), unsure yet. This is the 2nd time this happened, I will do a follow-up slideshow of the components involved in both swims! So now I am out of electronics, unknown when I will be back in the air... :(

After that, the lifeguard directly paddled to Stephen Howard Schafer on a rescue board then pulled the Stuart man away from the sharks and took him back to Stuart Beach / shore. Unfortunately, although the rescue workers had given the man CPR as soon as possible until the paramedics brought him to Martin Memorial Hospital, but finally the man died at the hospital.
