The UGA Redcoat Band performs at halftime of the 1985 GA/FL game. Florida was ranked #1 but Georgia led 17-3 at halftime. The Bulldogs went on to win 24-3. I love to see UF's band on the sideline at the beginning wondering where we are....

Recorded November 4th, 1966 or February 8th, 1967 'Surfs Up' is the emotional centerpiece of SMiLE. A song written with 3 movements, Brian Wilson and Van Dyke Parks wrote this on the night of November 4th, 1966. They were both sure that this song was a masterpiece, and in my own view they were right. The song was about "a child's freedom", as Van Dyke Parks said years later in an interview. But the song is seen by many as something a lot different than a happy child anthem: Brian's Swansong. When the Brian scrapped SMiLE in 1967, he was scrapping his last real musical project for the next 20 years. And, perhaps, 'Surfs Up' was his last real masterpiece. This track is his demo for the song. A beautiful track, overdubbed with tender vocals. I'm not completely sure of the date it was recorded, so if anyone can tell me it'd be a big help.

Students who take UC San Diego's Physics of Surfing class get to go to beach, ride a board into the waves and see how physics works in the real world. Back in the classroom, they learn about how waves form, how they travel through the world's oceans and that surfboards follow the laws of fluid mechanics.

This story follows a teenage rock hopper penguin named Cody Maverick from his hometown of Shiverpool, Antarctica, where all of the other penguins think he's nothing but a surfing fool, to the "Big Z Memorial Surf Off" on Pen Gu Island. Young Cody is determined to win the most important competition in the world of penguin surfing in honor of "Big Z," a deceased surfing legend whom he has idolized since childhood. But the waves in Pen Gu are different than in Shiverpool, and the competition is steep. The current champ, egotistical Tank Evans, isn't just about to let this little penguin knock him from first place without a fight. When Cody wipes out and encounters Geek, a recluse aging former surfer, living in the jungle, he learns some important lessons about life and surfing, and even teaches Geek a thing or two.

I had nothing better to do, making calls to my job, and drawing, so mean time I made a music video of my favorite movie this time of the year- Surf's up. I was limited on resources so expect some repeats. The trailers are short... very short so what do I do best? Improvise. The music is Pearl Jam- Big Wave. No asking me for whats the music is called and by on the comments cause its right here. Also I got the trailers from IGN.
Some call him a legend. Others the great hero of our time. But one thing everyone can agree on is that Jeff Spicoli is one lovable stoner without a clue. I know there have been many complaints about the music I chose. Truth is, I was editing this between tasks at work and saw the track title "American Idiot" and thought that would be perfect. In the future, remind me not to use Green Day in my videos...
