Lin sings Dolly Parton classic on Taiwanese tv talent show competition. (Parton wrote and first recorded the song, which Whitney Houston later recorded.) I didn't allow automatically-posted comments on the video until 4 days after uploading it. I think the number of views for this video would have been much higher had I just allowed comments to be posted automatically from the start. Just something to keep in mind. Interview with the now-world famous Lin Yu Chun (in Mandarin Chinese): www.youtube.com When I posted this video of Lin Yu Chun singing, I knew that it would get a large response, but I had no idea how large! So many people from around the world have commented about how much they enjoyed the video, just as I was blown away when I first came across it. I see a lot of the comments that are sent to this channel, and I have been amazed at their overwhelmingly positive nature. Sure, there are a few mean ones, but those are actually rare. My faith in humanity is renewed. =) Way to go, Lin Yu Chun! Below is from: abcnews.go.com Taiwan singer hits all the right notes as YouTube clip goes viral By ANNIE HUANG The Associated Press TAIPEI, Taiwan As a younger man, Taiwan's Lin Yu-chun sang for hours on end, trying to get his mind off the sneers he endured because of his portly figure. The round-faced soprano with the bowl haircut never imagined his voice would one day transform him into an international sensation. But now, he is being compared to Britain's Susan Boyle, the ...
Susan Boyle - I dreamed A Dream 2010 A song from the musical 'Les Miserables' She appeared as a contestant on reality TV programme 'Britain's Got Talent' I dreamed a dream in time gone by When hope was high and life worth living I dreamed that love would never die I dreamed that God would be forgiving Then I was young and unafraid And dreams were made and used and wasted There was no ransom to be paid No song unsung, no wine untasted But the tigers come at night With their voices soft as thunder As they tear your hopes apart As they turn your dreams to shame And still I dreamed hed come to me That we would live the years together But there are dreams that cannot be And there are storms we cannot weather I had a dream my life would be So different from this hell Im living So different now from what it seemed Now life has killed the dream I dreamed

Duet type comparrison between Madonna's You'll See, and Susan Boyle's cover of it as featured in her smash hit album I Dreamed a Dream. My personal opinion: I wasn't hugely enamoured of Madonna's You'll See. But when I heard it on Susan Boyle's album I was absolutely blown away! I had to revisit the Madonna versions to see if I'd overlooked it. Well, I think there's a difference of intent. Despite the fact the words are identical, Madonna sings from the perspective of someone who's been screwed over in love. Whereas the positioning, and story behind, Susan's version makes for a standpoint of overcoming bullies and adversity. So Susan's makes a stronger statement. They're also, obviously, two different genres: Madonna's is pop, whereas Susan's edges into opera. I'd have to say the voices are very different, with Madonna's reeking of quality, but somehow lacking the emotional connection that Susan's makes. All in all, two incredible tracks. Here's some blurb about the singers and the song: Susan Magdalane Boyle (born 1 April 1961) is a Scottish singer who came to international public attention when she appeared as a contestant on reality TV programme Britain's Got Talent on 11 April 2009, singing "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Misérables. Her first album was released in November 2009 and debuted as the number one best-selling CD on charts around the globe. Global interest in Boyle was triggered by the contrast between her powerful voice and her plain appearance on stage. The ...
bestmusic.kuasadua.net Susan Boyle has recorded a duet with Elaine Paige for this weekend's ITV1 special I Dreamed A Dream: The Susan Boyle Story. The pair sung 'I Know Him So Well' together, although Boyle is believed to have been unaware of the duet until shortly before the performance, the Daily Mail reports. Susan Boyle said: "I never thought I would see myself standing on the same stage with such an icon from West End theatre, let alone singing with her as an equal." The Britain's Got Talent runner-up told the panel that Paige was her inspiration during her first audition on the reality talent contest.

Susan Boyle Album: I Dreamed A Dream Song: Who I Was Born To Be Original Song for Susan Boyle Lyrics: When I was a child I could see the wind in the trees And I heard a song in the breeze It was there, singing out my name But I'm not a girl I have known the taste of defeat And I've finally grown to believe It will all come around again And though I many not Know the answers I can finally say I'm free And if the questions Lead me here, then I am who I was born to be And so, here I am Open arms and ready to stand I've got the world in my hands And it feels like my turn to fly And though I may not Know the answers I can finally say I'm free And if the questions Lead me here, then I am who I was born to be When I was a child There were flowers that bloomed in the night Unafraid to take in the light Unashamed to have braved the dark And though I many not Know the answers I can finally say I'm free If the questions Led me here, then I am who I was born to be I am who I was born to be

Wild Horses sneak preview of susan boyles up and coming new CD Sue Boyle, appeared on Britains got talent, since then she has soared to stardom, propelled to the heights largely due to You Tube, supported by people like you and II thought it was nice what happened to her, but I also Have my reservations that she is riding the whirlwind, and I really expected her to come plunging down to earth very abruptly, but when I heard that she had released a new CD and one of the songs was Wild Horses, I assumed it would be a none event, how wrong can one be, this is maybe not the worlds best singer singing the best song for 2009, but its pretty damn close, please enjoy wild Horses, and Susan Boyle.hugs David. Susan Boyle has wowed fans at the opening show of the Britain's Got Talent live tour. She took to the stage at the Birmingham National Indoor Arena to belt out I Dreamed A Dream and Memory from the musicals Les Miserables and Cats. Daylight See the dew on the sunflower And a rose that is fading Roses whither away Like the sunflower I yearn to turn my face to the dawn I am waiting for the day . . . Midnight Not a sound from the pavement Has the moon lost her memory? She is smiling alone In the lamplight The withered leaves collect at my feet And the wind begins to moan Memory All alone in the moonlight I can smile at the old days I was beautiful then I remember the time I knew what happiness was Let the memory live again Every streetlamp Seems to beat a fatalistic warning Someone mutters And the streetlamp gutters And soon it will be morning Daylight I must wait for the sunrise I must think of a new life And I musn't give in When the dawn comes Tonight will be a memory too And a new day will begin Burnt out ends of smoky days The stale cold smell of morning The streetlamp dies, another night is over Another day is dawning Touch me It's so easy to leave me All alone with the memory Of my days in the sun If you touch me You'll ...

Susan Boyle NEW song "The Way We Were" Watch our exclusive video of Britain's Got Talent sensation Susan Boyle at her earliest on-camera gig, singing the Barbra Streisand hit The Way We Were during a 1984 competition at Fir Park Social Club in Motherwell. Memories Light the corners of my mind Misty watercolor memories Of the way we were Scattered pictures Of the smiles we left behind Smiles we gave to one another For the way we were Can it be that it was all so simple then Or has time rewritten every line If we had the chance to do it all again Tell me - Would we? Could we? Memories May be beautiful and yet What's too painful to remember We simply choose to forget So it's the laughter We will remember Whenever we remember The way we were So it's the laughter We will remember Whenever we remember The way we were
Strumming my pain with his fingers Singing my life with his words Killing me softly with his song Killing me softly with his song Telling my whole life with his words Killing me softly, with his song I heard he sang a good song, I heard he had a style And so I came to see him, and listen for a while And there he was, this young boy, a stranger to my eyes (repeat chorus) I felt all flushed with fever, embarrassed by the crowd I felt he found my letters, and read each one out loud I prayed that he would finish, but he just kept right on (rpt chorus) He sang as if he knew me, and all my dark despair and then he looked right through me as if I wasn't there And he just keep on singing, singing clear and strong (repeat chorus till fade)
Susan Boyle, The woman that they planned to make fun of because of the way she looked. Never judge a book by it's cover ! They LOL at her when she said she wanted to be as famous as Elaine Paige. As soon as she opened her mouth she became more famous then Elaine Paige Hitting the world by storm going all over the world in 48 hours. 47 Year old Susan Boyle wows the judges with her performance in the auditions for Britains Got Talent, singing I dreamed a dream from Les Miserables. Also here signing Cry Me a River and Killing me softy. Britain's Got Talent 2009 Started on April 11. Susan came in 2st place on May 30 2009 As the callers voted for a dance troop ot 8 people called Diversity on Britain's Got Talent 2009 Final Perform A good question is: "How fair is it to put a troop of 8 people up against any one person on a show that people vote for a winner?" The troop of 8 has at least 8 votes to start with & that only doubles with each vote of 8 One could say she or anyone did not get a fair deal going up against a group of 8 people in a troop Diversity now get to perform in front of the Queen. Well, there is also something called a "Comman Performance" All the Queen has to do is ask Susan to come. Why the Queen would not do this who knows? Because you will sell out as soon as you get to the USA Susan. Also it took a dance troop of EIGHT people to take 1st place from her, another testament to her greatness. Susan Boyle is hoping to make a CD soon and we are hoping to buy it ...
Susan Boyle should perform live her second best performance - "Killing Me Softly". A second song that Susan Boyle recorded in 1999 has surfaced! Telegraph.co.uk has come into possession of a recording that Susan Boyle made in 1999 of the 1973 hit song Killing Me Softly by Roberta Flack. It seems Ms. Boyle made the recording at her own expense to attempt to get on various television and radio talent shows, all of which she was not accepted to. At the time she made the recording she told her friends that she had spent all of her savings on recording thsi song and an earlier demo version of what would become her Cry Me A River release on a charity CD. The youngest of nine children, Boyle suffered oxygen deprivation during birth, resulting in learning disabilities. "I come from a musical family," she says. "It has always been there, from my father down. Singing is always something I have done. It has been in my blood since I was 12 and took part in school productions and shows." She attended Edinburgh Acting School and has appeared in the Edinburgh Fringe. She recorded a charity CD of Cry Me a River in 1999, of which 1000 copies were pressed. She also had a previous brush with television, appearing on Michael Barrymore's ITV show My Kind of People, but unlike others - such as Charlotte Church, who were plucked to stardom after appearances on other shows - nobody came knocking for Boyle. "I did My Kind of People for fun," she says. "I also sang locally but things had quietened ...

SUSAN BOYLE - Killing Me Softly (High Quality Version) www.telegraph.co.uk The 48-year-old recorded two songs ten years ago and distributed them to only a handful of her closest friends in the village of Blackburn, West Lothian, where she lives alone with her cat. The recording, which was unearthed by Telegraph.co.uk, features two songs - an early version of the blues ballad Cry Me a River and Killing Me Softly with His Song, the track immortalised by Roberta Flack in 1973. Last week the Daily Record newspaper in Scotland uncovered Miss Boyle's first CD recording - a version of Cry Me a River recorded for a millenium charity compilation CD at Whitburn Academy. The recording unearthed by Telegraph.co.uk is an earlier demo tape that Ms Boyle had produced to send to record companies, and to local and national TV and radio talent competitions including Michael Barrymore's My Kind of People, for which she later auditioned but was rejected. The recording was made at her own expense with Miss Boyle telling friends at the time that she had "spent all her savings" on it. It is the earliest example of Miss Boyle's attempts to gain recognition of her talents as a singer. By the time the tape was made she had already built a reputation among the pubs and clubs of West Lothian. A friend of Ms Boyle, who gave the recording to Telegraph.co.uk, said she had forgotten about the tape until her friend shot to global fame. The friend, who did not want to be named, said: "I had heard lots of ...
CNN visits the proud Scottish hometown of SUSAN BOYLE -- and neighbors share! ------------ [APRIL 2009] The world is smitten with British sensation Susan Boyle and though her appearance has been described as "dowdy" and prompted calls for a makeover fans want the powerful singer to know they love her just the way she is. Boyle told CNN this morning that she's overwhelmed by her sudden notoriety. "I'm gobsmacked, absolutely gobsmacked," she said. The word "gobsmacked" is British slang to mean astonished or astounded. But Boyle herself also said she wouldn't want the instant fame to change her. "I wouldn't want to change myself too much because that would really make things a bit false," she said Friday in an interview with CNN. "I want to receive people as the real me, a real person." Boyle, 47, burst into the spotlight last week when she performed the song "I Dreamed a Dream" on the reality show "Britain's Got Talent." At least two members of the show's judging panel have said they judged Boyle on her looks when she first appeared on stage before them. Based on the somewhat disheveled state of her baggy dress and wild hair they admitted they didn't expect much. "It's a very shallow thing to say but, obviously, the minute she walked onstage we all, and the audience, completely judged her on her appearance and everything else. And I hate saying that. But, you know, that true cliche, we judged a book by its cover," said judge Amanda Holden in an interview Friday on the CBS ...
a new song I hadnt heard...very nice
Susan Boyle sings 'My Heart Will Go On' for CNN's Larry King.
Susan Boyle's new song to compete with Celine Dion's version of Titanic's hit :) The often scathing critic Simon Cowell called Susan Boyle -- the breakout singing sensation from "Britain's Got Talent" -- a "little tiger." Judge Piers Morgan admits that he expected Susan Boyle's audition to be a joke before she began singing. During a taping of the show Friday, she nailed a verse of Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" after King asked her to sing. "Amazing. That was just absolutely stunning," said "Britain's Got Talent" judge Piers Morgan, who was also a guest. "To sing that with no musical backing is unbelievable. You have the voice of an angel, Susan." The 47-year-old Boyle's frumpy attire and awkward mannerisms drew snickers and eye-rolling from her audience before she belted out a pitch-perfect number from "Les Miserables" at an audition for the talent contest, making her an overnight sensation. Watch Boyle sing on Larry King » An unemployed charity worker who lives alone with her cat in Scotland, Boyle has inspired millions with a performance that flies in the face of pop music's penchant for pre-processed princesses. A clip of her audition had more than 19 million views on YouTube by Friday evening. Boyle, who did a repeat performance of "I Dreamed a Dream" via satellite on CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360" Thursday night, told King she was aware of the snickers her appearance prompted at the audition. "That doesn't bother me because I knew I had to get on with my act ...

Apr 16 2009 THE Daily Record has uncovered the only CD ever made by Scotlands singing sensation Susan Boyle. She sings Cry Me A River.Susan became an overnight sensation on Britains Got Talent. It emerged last night that Susan, whose Britains Got Talent triumph has made her an instant superstar, is being lined up for an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey show which would give her the chance of a number one album in the US.
