The Fasces meaning "bundle", a bundle of wooden sticks with an axe blade emerging from the center, are a symbol of the Roman Republic, By extension, they came to symbolizes summary power and jurisdiction, and/or "strength through unity". Fasces frequently occur as a charge in heraldry (not to be confused with the related term, fasce). The traditional Roman fasces consisted of a bundle of white birch rods, tied together with a red leather ribbon into a cylinder, and often including a bronze axe (or sometimes two) amongst the rods, with the blade(s) on the side, projecting from the bundle. It was used as a symbol of the Roman Republic in many circumstances, including being carried in processions, much the way a flag might be carried today. The term is related to the modern Italian word fascio, used in the twentieth century to designate peasant cooperatives and industrial workers' unions. Numerous governments and other authorities have used the image of the fasces for a symbol of power since the end of the Roman Empire. It has also been used to hearken back to the Roman republic, particularly by those who see themselves as modern-day successors to the old republic and/or its ideals. Italian Fascism, which derives its name from the fasces, arguably used this symbolism the most in the 20th century. The British Union of Fascists also used it in the 1930s. However, unlike (for example) the swastika, the fasces, as a widespread and long-established symbol in the West, has avoided ...
The Freedom Tower has been lost prior to its completion. Symbols can be telling things. The World Trade Center was a symbol of vision; in contrast what does One World Trade Center tell us? It is a symbol of limitation, insecurity, and government-corruption. The base of the tower which has been built to be indestructible rests on a national foundation rapidly moving into oligarchical-fascism and thus destruction.

The battle for Berlin lasted for two weeks. Three and a half million troops from both sides, Soviet and German, took part in the fight. Some ten thousand tanks, thousands of artillery, and eleven thousand aircraft were involved in the fight. There was no other operation of that scale in World War II, and it was won by the Russians. The Red Flag was risen atop of the Reichstag in May, 1945, and it became the symbol of victory over fascism.

A Lithuanian court has cleared students carrying swastikas of illegally bearing symbols of Nazism. The judge's ruling that the emblem is merely a sign with an ancient history has caused anger. Critics fear its another step towards the rehabilitation of fascist sympathizers.
The Pledge of Allegiance was the origin of the Nazi salute (and the swastika -although an ancient symbol- was used to represent crossed S-shapes for "socialism" under the National Socialist German Workers Party). Francis Bellamy (cousin of author Edward Bellamy) was a socialist in the Nationalism movement and authored the Pledge of Allegiance (1892), the origin of the stiff-armed salute adopted much later by the National Socialist German Workers Party. See the work of the symbologist Dr. Rex Curry. rexcurry.net See the image at rexcurry.net The early American stiff-armed salute was not an ancient Roman salute. That is a myth debunked by Dr. Curry, who showed that the myth came from the Pledge and from various facts including that Francis Bellamy grew up in Rome, NY, not Rome, Italy, and thereafter the Pledge salute was repeated in early films (some showing fictional scenes of ancient Rome). The reasons above and more led to the American stiff-armed salute being picked up later by German socialists and the National Socialist German Workers Party (under the influence of Adolf Hitler and the US citizen and Harvard grad Ernst Hanfstaengl, a confidant of Hitler) and by Italian socialists under Benito Mussolini (who discovered the salute while he gained power as a socialist journalist writing for socialist newspapers, and later became an ally of the National Socialist German Workers Party). rexcurry.net Francis Bellamy never used the term "Roman salute" when describing his ...

Unable to collect water the citizens were forced to offer a human sacrifice to distract the dragon. The victim was selected by the drawing of lots and one day the king's daughter was selected. Although the king was distraught and begged for her life, the citizens insisted that she be treated like everyone else. She was sent out to face the dragon but the wandering George arrived and seeing the princess's plight engaged the dragon and slew him. In gratitude the citizens abandon their traditional paganism and converted to Christianity. Andrew, the Fisherman (& patron thereof) made fisher of men was Jesus's first disciple. SYMBOL OF FASCISM fasce: n. A bundle of rods bound together around an ax with the blade projecting, carried before ancient Roman magistrates as an emblem of authority. The word ax is an alpha-numeric symbol for 9/11 (the letter 'x' being the Roman numeral 10 and the letter 'a' being #1; the word ax symbolizes 9 or 11 depending on whether it is read left to right or right to left). It would be interesting to know how many rods are bound in 'the bund'. Also, the word 'blade' is 'a cutting' tool which contains a 'lad' (sion). Yet, without the attached blade what one has is a number of sticks tied in the shape of a BROOM that will sweep clean and make ROOM for the coming LAD. The word ROOM when read right to left is the north African MOOR (TAN People) who occupied the Basque Country (Spain/Portugal and the Pyrenees of southern France) and swept it clean, until 1492. Is it all just coincidence ?
The English and Welsh Defence Leagues marched in Swansea on Oct 17, chanting "BNP, BNP, BNP", burning an Anti-Nazi symbol, and making Nazi salutes. No sensible person was ever fooled by the EDL pretending to be against Fascism, and now what little credibility EDL could have ever claimed is completely destroyed. The EDL were founded by an alliance of BNP activists, a football hooligan who was jailed for stabbing Manchester United fans, and a self-confessed former drug-dealer... nice! Obviously scum like these need someone to look down on, so these people founded the EDL after a tiny band of Muslim extremists insulted a home-coming parade by soldiers from the Royal Anglian Regiment. Since then however EDL supporters gave Nazi salutes in Birmingham, gave Nazi salutes in Harrow, gave Nazi salutes in Glasgow, gave Nazi salutes in Manchester, gave Nazi salutes in Swansea, and attacked Asians, Asian shops and assaulted a Sikh councillor in Luton. Some decent people have joined EDL protests in the past, and I hate Islamic extremism as much as they do, but from now on NO-ONE goes on EDL protests unless they WANT to be associated with Nazis. www.dailymail.co.uk

This makes no sense?
cnn's Rick Sanchez plays a montage of photos of Nazi imagery, including swastikas, being displayed at health care town halls - including children holding the signs. "They are as hateful a symbol as there is in American discourse," he says.
Fascisms Black Date Fascism, pronounced /ˈfæʃɪzəm/, comprises a radical and authoritarian nationalist political ideology[1][2][3][4] and a corporatist economic ideology. [5] Fascists believe that nations and/or races are in perpetual conflict whereby only the strong can survive by being healthy, vital, and by asserting themselves in conflict against the weak.[6] Fascists advocate the creation of a single-party state.[7] Fascist governments forbid and suppress criticism and opposition to the government and the fascist movement.[8] Fascism opposes class conflict, blames capitalist liberal democracies for its creation and communists for exploiting the concept.[9] Fascism is much defined by what it opposes, what scholars call the fascist negations - its opposition to individualism,[10] rationalism, liberalism, conservatism and communism. [11] In the economic sphere, many fascist leaders have claimed to support a "Third Way" in economic policy, which they believed superior to both the rampant individualism of unrestrained capitalism and the severe control of state communism.[12][13] This was to be achieved by establishing significant government control over business and labour (Mussolini called his nation's system "the corporate state").[14][15] No common and concise definition exists for fascism and historians and political scientists disagree on what should be in any concise definition.[16] Following the defeat of the Axis powers in World War II and the publicity surrounding ...
