St. Thomas Episcopal Church 5th Avenue New York, NY Stained Glass Window Restoration narrated by Julie Sloan. This video chronicles the removal and restoration of the upper half of the "Christ the King" window located at the base of the brides staircase in the church. The lower half was left unrestored and both sections are presently on exhibit in a showcase in the narthex. This video is an attempt to illustrate the many and varied steps in the restoration process. The "Christ the King" window is rather small, about 19" wide X 40" tall, and extraordinarily beautiful. It's size stands in stark contrast to the enormous 32 foot tall clerestory windows on the north side of the sanctuary. A two year program to remove, restore, and reinstall the nine clerestory windows was recently completed. It is our hope that this video gives those who view it an appreciation for the thousands of hours the clerestory project required.
A 30 second video contrasting things Jesus did not say with what he did say which encourages people to consider going to the church of their choice this Easter.

www.platformforthefuture.com The Stench of Truth (277).mp4 I support Joe at the sludgereport2. I am offended by so-called civil rights groups that seek to deny civil rights to others by attacking freedom of speech. I'm with you Joe. Pat Robertson a purported Christian says Haiti brought their misery on themselves by making a pact with the devil. He's a senile, piggish old man. Purported Christians should be about helping people and doing the Christian thing rather than pointing out the faults of others, don't you think? And of course I support Pat Robertson's right to say what he wants. As to whether the Haitians DID make a pact with the devil and this is the aftermath I leave that for you to ponder. Massachusetts Senate race. Joe Kennedy has no corporate money so is not compromised. He's far from the ideal candidate on many issues but would be more responsive to people to influence legislation. If it looks like he won't make it then work the election to YOUR benefit. Elect the Democrat so they can effectively hang themselves. Elect the republican so you get gridlock and prevent bills on the table from passing. Dem. or Rep. remember you're getting a corporate stooge either way. Continue to work to break the false left/right nonsense.

On a very cold and wet evening in November, six local clergy members from the Episcopal Churches of Kent and Queen Annes Counties gathered at Emmanuels Parish Hall to talk candidly about the future by answering the question: Will the Episcopal Church exist in the 21st Century, and if so, why would it be relevant to believers?

This is an updated version of the viral video that gives a humurous look into The Episcopal Church from a loving perspective. We love our denomination without taking anything from our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.

I've always been fond of Casavant organs. This summer, I got to play one of the best ones they have ever built (...in my humble opinion, of course... :P ). This instrument had about 140 ranks of pipes, including a wonderful Antiphonal division, which had some reeds loud enough to announce the Second Coming... :P Thanks to all those who made it possible for me to have fun with this wonderful organ! About the music: I had an other version of this very same Hungarian hymn recorded on a much smaller organ back home in Romania, but since this is closer to what I usually hear in my head when I think of this hymn, I decided to post it instead. Careful with the volume-the 32' Bombarde might surprise you towards the end!! :P Hope you enjoy!

The Rev. Frank Wade shares his thoughts about the 2009 General Convention of the Episcopal Church. This is part 5 of 5. Frank Wade served as an Episcopal priest for almost 40 years. The 2009 General Convention of the Episcopal Church was his twelfth as a deputy, and his second as Chaplain to the House of Deputies. No one else has ever served in that role twice. He has written several books, including The Art of Being Together: Common Sense About Life Long Relationships (available from Forward Movement Press).

This is part of the performance of the Matsiko Children's Choir at St. John's Episcopal Church, Chicago, on July 19, 2009. Matsiko provided beautiful music for the Sunday service, and gave a too-short concert following, of which this is a sample. The Matsiko Children's Choir is touring the United States for the International Children's Network, which seeks sponsors for orphaned or "at risk" children all the way through the vocational or university level. The children are Ugandan.
The Episcopal Church rescinds the Moratorium enacted at the 2006 General Convention in response to the Anglican Communion's request that the Episcopal Church refrain from ordaining and consecrating non-celibate homosexuals until there is consensus in the Anglican Communion.
