when the essemble was marshall hall, wes hampton, guy penrod, and bill gaither. love this song. with ernie haase and signature sound joining at the end Lyrics: Home is where the heart is My hearts on home Though I never really had one to call my own Now i've been given a key By the carptender of Galilee With interest paid, the titles made to me Chorus: Home, where there is no night Home, where the Son is the light The place i've been dreaming of so long Loved ones there to welcome me But His sweet face will be the first I see When my journey's over I am going home. Verse 2: Everybody dreams of going home it seems Lately i'm not exception to the rule But home is so much more Than windows walls and doors It's a warm embrace where a smiling face Is waiting you. Chorus: Home, where there is no night Home, where the Son is the light The place i've been dreaming of so long Loved ones there to welcome me But His sweet face will be the first I see When my journey's over I am going home
so pretty!

From Aaron Wilburn's DVD "Down By The Riverside". I ordered this on Aaron's official website www.aaronwilburn.com and you can too!! LOL!!! Every Gaither fan will think this is funny. Aaron Wilburn is the best!! :) Lyrics: It was 4 in the morning And I was awake Sure I was suffering from something I ate I checked out the TV nothing was on Thought i'd put in a tape watch some good gospel songs In disbelief I stared at my tape To see from the middle the kitty had ate Solos, and trios, quartets and more Were nothing but snippets on my living room floor Oh mamma, the cat ate the gaithers Bill and his buddies are gone From out of it's cage It went into a rage Sent the homecoming friends Home If your making plans for Christmas Listen to my earnest plea All that i'm wanting for Christmas Bring back the Gaithers to me. Tears fell like rivers from out of my eyes For there went my twenty-nine ninety and five. Precious memories in Memphis lying around everywhere It looked a little like Guy Penrod's hair. The cat ran down the hall and I figured it out He swallowed some tape without a doubt Cause he was dancing like Jessy, beat all I ever saw He had a homecoming light in his little front paw. Oh mamma, the cat ate the Gaithers.
love this song
this is my favorite version of let freedom ring
when it was david phelps, marshall hall, guy penrod, and bill gaither (of course lol)

*bawls* it gives me goosebumps, how powerful. Bill Gaither gets choked up, Marshall Hall gets emotional and almost can't sing. Guy penrod falls to his knees in the middle of his verse. I love this song
someone mentioned how they liked the performance of this song that was done shortly after 9/11 in NYC. so I thought i'd post it.
from praise gathering with michael english terry franklin mark lowrey buy at www.gaithernet.com
wow, Marshall Hall sounds gorgeous on this song. The crowd really loves him, and the entire gaither vocal band for that matter
Bill Gaither talks about the wonderful bass singer Rex Nelon, who had died just the night before, and then the Gaither Vocal Band sings "The Old Rugged Cross Made The Difference"
one of the most popular gaither vocal band songs and with good reason too! This has such a great message and they as always do beautifully! Lyrics By Request: If you could see what I once was If you could go with me Back to where I started from Then I know you would see A Miracle of love that took me In it's sweet embrace And made me what I am today Just an old sinner, saved by grace. I'm just a sinner saved by grace When I stood condemned to death He took my place Now I live and breathe in freedom With each breath of life I take Loved and forgiven Back with the living I'm just a sinner saved by grace. How could I boast of anything, I've ever seen or done? How could I dare to claim as mine, The victories God has won? Where would I be had God not brought me Gentley to this place, I'm here to say, i'm nothing but a sinner saved by grace. I'm just a sinner saved by grace When I stood condemned to death He took my place Now I grow and breathe in freedom With each breath of life I take I'm Loved and forgiven Back with the living I'm just a sinner saved by grace. Now how I grow and breathe in freedom With each breath of life I take I'm loved and forgiven Back with the living I'm just a sinner saved by grace. Saved by grace.
I originally just posted this from David Phelps (AMAZING) solo and on but here is the full thing.
from 1966 the gaither trio singing "jesus there's something about that name" with the late Danny Gaither leading. Also Gloria says her imfamous "jesus theres something about that name" speech from a gaither video in 1996.
Gloria explains the circumstances surrounding the time she wrote the words to "because he lives" and then the gaither trio sings it (from 1972)
By request. This is a cute song, Bill's daughter Susanne wrote it about the gaither vocal band's (then david phelps, mark lowry, guy penrod, and bill gaither which personally is my all time favorite line-up of the vocal band, even though i still really like them now) relationship. Enjoy and feel free to leave comments. (PS on my computer it looked like the video quality wasn't that great, so sorry if it's not perfect. I don't know why, I guess the tape decided to be weird. LOL)
the gaither vocal band (then russ taff, david phelps, guy penrod, and bill gaither) sing "these are they" with david phelps leading. Beautiful! On a side note, I think David should wear blue more often, it brings out his eyes, call me weird lol.
Here the gaither vocal band (then russ taff, david phelps, guy penrod, and bill gaither) sing "america the beautiful" in beautiful surroundings. (What else can you expect from colorado?) *side note: i was born and raised in colorado lol*
I previously posted this in two parts, here's the full thing. enjoy!
I previously posted this in two seperate parts but it kinda ruins the emotional impact when it suddenly stops. So this is the full thing. David Phelps leads, this is one pretty song.
I previously posted this in two seperate parts but it kinda ruins the emotional impact when it suddenly stops. So this is the full thing. Mark Lowry leads on this one, and does an excellent job, this is one of my favorite songs by them.
I previously posted this in two seperate parts but it kind of ruins the emotional impact when it suddenly stops so this is the full thing. David Phelps leads, so pretty!
I previously posted this in two seperate parts but now i'm posting the full thing because it kinda ruins the emotional impact when it suddenly stops. I love this song, Guy Penrod gets choked up at the end and for a moment can't finish.
I previously posted this in two parts, but this is the full thing. Kinda ruins the emotional impact when it suddenly stops. Anyway, this could easily be my favorite song that the Gaither Vocal Band does. The words give me goosebumps, maybe because I like many others no the feeling of feeling all alone. Lyrics: Once I Stood In The Night With My Head Bowed Low In The Darkness As Black As Could Be And My Heart Felt Alone And I Cried "Oh Lord, Dont Hide, Your Face From Me" Chorus: Hold My Hand All The Way Every Hour, Every Day From Here To The Great Unknown Take My Hand Let Me Stand Where No One Stands Alone Like A King I May Live In A Palace So Tall With Great Riches To Call My Own But I Don't Know A Thing In This Whole Wide World Thats Worse Than Being Alone Chorus: Hold My Hand All The Way Every Hour, Every Day From Here To The Great Unknown Take My Hand Let Me Stand Where No One Stands Alone
When the assembly was David Phelps, Mark Lowry, Guy Penrod, and Bill Gaither. Just beautiful!
