The Last Airbender is an upcoming American action-adventure fantasy film scheduled to be released on July 2, 2010. It is a live-action film adaptation based on the first season of the animated television series, Avatar: The Last Airbender. The first of a planned trilogy, it will be produced by Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies. The series, influenced by Asian art, mythology and various martial arts fighting styles, was created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, and was adapted by M. Night Shyamalan, who will also direct and produce the film. Other producers include Frank Marshall, Kathleen Kennedy, Sam Mercer and Scott Aversano. Filming began in mid-March 2009; the movie will be released in both traditional two-dimensional projectors, as well as in 3D.

I edited together this side-by-side, shot for shot comparison between "The Last Airbender" movie trailer with the closest corresponding scenes from the first season of the TV show after I noticed a couple of the scenes from the movie looked very similar. The Last Airbender is an upcoming 2010 live action fantasy film based on the first season of the animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Fire Nation is waging a ruthless, oppressive war against the other three nations. The film's hero, the reluctant young Aang (Noah Ringer), is the "Last Airbender" -- the Avatar, who, according to prophecy, has the ability to manipulate all of the elements and bring all the nations together. Aided by a protective teenage Waterbender named Katara (Nicola Peltz) and her bull-headed brother Sokka (Jackson Rathbone), Aang proceeds on a perilous journey to restore balance to their war-torn world. As some of you may notice, this teaser trailer is fanmade by myself! Mostly I use the nickname KJRiddle, but the more hits, the better. So I thought this name would be way and way more believable, and sorry if I wasted your time by making you think this one is real!
