Aber jetzt steht die attraktive 40-Jährige plötzlich vor den Scherben ihrer Existenz: Ihr Mann (Sam Robards) hat eine Affäre! Und Sandy ist alles andere als bereit, sich das bieten zu lassen. Hals über Kopf schnappt sie sich ihre beiden Kinder und zieht nach New York. Doch ein neues Leben zu beginnen, ist leichter gesagt als getan. Wohin mit den Kids, während Sandy wieder arbeiten geht? Ein Babysitter muss her! Da trifft es sich gut, dass Aram (Justin Bartha), der smarte Kellner aus dem Coffee Shop um die Ecke, nicht nur ein verständnisvoller Zuhörer ist, sondern auch gut mit Kindern umgehen kann. Fortan kümmert sich Aram fürsorglich um Sandys Nachwuchs und nebenbei auch immer öfter um deren scharfe Mutter. Warum auch nicht? Sandy sieht gut aus, ist sexy und wieder zu haben. Dumm nur, dass Aram gerade mal 25 ist. Das kann doch gar nicht gut gehen, oder doch?
