Poison Quest + Brenda's Lab for $8000. - Day 5: Ice stopped whining about me firing too many mercs, so it was time to fire Hurl and replace him with Magic. - Day 6: The day started perfectly. My heavy hitters didn't take any damage at all. Then it all went down the drain due to hostiles standing behind the door, ready to interrupt and consequently to kill 2 of my weaker mercs. Ah well, they were expendable! ... jagged alliance ...
destroyed a race nearly exterminated The blood of many on the hands of on a civil destruction of family, friends, amd neighbors a country led by power and fear as suits and soldiers kill in masses We stared in awe as ink melted off pages staining the floor with a history only kept in the minds of those who watched wishing someone would stop the madness We watched dumbfounded as children are taken away and turned into brainwashed killing machines with first words like "Heil Hitler" They are ...
You gotta be crazy, you gotta have a real need. You gotta sleep on your toes, and when you're on the street, You gotta be able to pick out the easy meat with your eyes closed. And then moving in silently, down wind and out of sight, You gotta strike when the moment is right without thinking. And after a while, you can work on points for style. Like the club tie, and the firm handshake, A certain look in the eye and an easy smile. You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to, So that ...

General: The masses of Undead found their way to the land of the living through a planar rift, opened when the Trumps of Doom were sounded. Now that they are among the living, they seek solely to destroy all living creatures and add them to their soulless ranks. The most common type of Undead appear as skeletal remains of their once living bodies. However, other types of Undead exist as well, including Wraiths and the dreaded Reaper. Society : Undead have little "society" of which to speak ...
The Gyrodyne QH-50 DASH (Drone Anti-Submarine Helicopter) was a small, drone helicopter built by Gyrodyne Company of America for use as a long-range anti-submarine weapon on ships that would otherwise be too small to operate a full-sized helicopter. It remained in production until 1969. Several are still used today for various land-based roles. DASH's control scheme had two controllers, one on the flight deck, and another in the combat information center. The flight-deck controller would ...

Based on the real life heroics of Lieutenants John Bulkeley (Brickley) and Robert Kelly (Ryan), the movie accurately depicts the defense of the Philippines by American PT Boats from December 1941 through April 1942 for which Lieutenant (later Vice Admiral) Bulkeley was awarded the Medal of Honor and Lieutenant Kelly the Navy Cross. The Obama government is going to have to repay the Zionist lobby in the US that helped secure his presidency. His VP Joe Biden said: 'I am a Zionist - you don't have to be a Jew to be a Zionist'. Secretary of State Hillary pledged to 'obliterate' Iran if necessary. Would she say she would obliterate Israel if it launched a nuclear attack on Iran? No way. The Palestinians have never had a chance because the table is weighted, the game is rigged and it always has been. At the time of the First World War, the Rothschild-controlled British government told the Palestine Arabs that if they fought the Ottoman Turks and forced them to leave Palestine and other lands they would be rewarded with an independent Palestine. The Palestinian Arabs agreed and with support from the British through Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Edward Lawrence - 'Lawrence of Arabia' - the Ottoman Empire was defeated. But their reward was not independence. It was first rule by a British 'Mandate' and then occupation by Zionist Israel. The Arabs were lied to, as Lawrence later admitted, and they have been lied to ever since. All these 'road maps' and 'peace processes' are always designed to lead nowhere. They are just holding positions to maintain the status quo until the Palestinians are basically no more. The Israelis always say they are killing people in 'retaliation' for attacks by the Palestinian group, Hamas, which officially controls the Gaza 'authority', although control is hardly the word with Israel deciding what and who goes in and out. Hamas operatives are firing low-tech rockets that have so far killed four people, after sixty years of oppression and persecution while the world does nothing? If you remove the injustice, you remove the motivation for a violent response to that injustice. Put people in a position where they either accept their pathetic plight or open fire and some are bound to choose the latter. But instead of tackling the root cause, injustice, Israel responds with a state-of-the-art bombardment that kills more than 800 and injures thousands in a few days, at least 90% of which are men, women and children who have nothing whatsoever to do with the rocket attacks. In 2007, 25 Palestinians were killed for every Israeli. That's more than just 'protecting yourself'. Jewish UN representative, Richard Falk cited these violations: ~Collective punishment: The entire 1.5 million are being punished for the actions of a few militants. ~Targeting civilians: The airstrikes were aimed at civilian areas in one of the most crowded stretches of land in the world. ~Disproportionate military response: The airstrikes have destroyed every police and security office & have killed & injured hundreds of civilians. This savagery has been going on since the Zionist terror groups began their campaign of violence to secure the State of Israel but has always been under reported as Politicians, university professors, speakers and writers, are immediately condemned by the ADL and smeared as 'racist' with support from the Robot Radicals of the Robot 'Left' if they expose Israel or anyone who happens to be Jewish involved in the Global Banking agenda. However it's ridiculous that anyone who calls themselves THE CHOSEN PEOPLE and ABOVE ALL OTHERS would accuse anyone else of being RACIST. Jews who speak against the zionist are smeared as 'self-haters'. But this is not about racism; it is about fascism and the daily onslaught against a helpless and tragic people. I don't give a shit what the ADL thinks about what I say, nor those on the 'Left' who parrot its propaganda like the juveniles that they are. It needs saying and therefore someone needs to say it. And, by the way, those that are running the Zionist agenda, which is part of much bigger global agenda in league with the Illuminati families, don't give a damn for Jewish people in general. They, too, are just an expendable irrelevance to the greater goal. As the first Israeli Prime Minister, the terrorist, David Ben-Gurion, said: 'If I knew that it was possible to save all the children of Germany by transporting them to England, and only half by transferring them to the Land of Israel, I would choose the latter, for before us lies not only the numbers of these children but the historical reckoning of the people of Israel.' What kind of sick mind does it take to say that? The kind that has run Israel since 1948 would appear to be the answer. We need to drop the ludicrous, childish, labels of Jew and Gentile and Muslim and all this illusory crap and come together in the name of peace and justice for all. There is not a Jewish injustice or a Palestinian injustice, there is simply injustice. Justice for one and no justice for another is 'justice' for no-one. For justice has no meaning unless it applies to all, and it will never apply to the Palestinians while the world stays silent and looks the other way.
John Brickley (Robert Montgomery) believes in PT boats, and as a lowly U.S. Navy lieutenant stationed in the Philippines, that makes him a radical thinker. "Your boats maneuver beautifully," an admiral (Charles Trowbridge) tells him, "but if I'm going into combat, I prefer something a little more substantial." The gently delivered but stinging dismissal stirs the resentment of Lt. "Rusty" Ryan (John Wayne), who tartly tells Brickley that he wants to be transferred to destroyers. The Pearl Harbor bombing makes transfer impossible, especially with the Japanese preparing to invade the islands. So Brickley and Ryan go to work, first as message carriers between the Philippines and Corregidor, then, finally, as ship hunters. They record some successes, but it's a doomed effort: The Americans are hopelessly outnumbered by the Japanese, and with almost all of the Pacific Fleet destroyed at Pearl Harbor, they know help won't arrive to save them. As the Japanese push the U.S. forces back, Brickley and Ryan and their crews hop from island to island, scrounging supplies and taking casualties but keeping up the fight. Just as it appears that they will be forced to fight on Corregidor against the Japanese, they get rescued; they're ordered home to promote their PT-boat successes, and they take the last plane out, hoping to return and avenge their defeats. Turtle Dovin' written by Jerry Lieber & Mike Stoller performed by The Coasters recorded 11 January 1956 released as Atco 45-6064 in February 1956 The Coasters, here on this record, are Carl Gardner (lead), Leon Hughes (tenor), Billy Guy (baritone), and Bobby Nunn (bass). Backing the group were Mike Stoller (piano), Gil Bernal (tenor), Barney Kessell (guitar), Ralph Hamilton (bass), and Jessie Sailes (drums). Marv Goldberg explains the period leading to this session like this: "A complete explanation of exactly what took place has yet to emerge. Terrell Leonard has stated that one day in 1955, he arrived at the Spark offices on Melrose Avenue in Hollywood to find Lester Sill, manager of both Leiber & Stoller and the Robins, in the office. An industry veteran of nearly 12 years, Sill had worked as a sales rep, concert promoter and music publisher before going to work for Spark. On this particular day, Leonard's appearance caused Sill to pick up the typewriter on his desk and hurl it at a wall close to the singer. Terrell soon learned that the reason for Sill's anger was finding out that Leonard had copyrighted the Robins name. Such legal protection was rarely instituted by a group. In fact, such actions were usually taken by managers and label owners to keep artists from leaving the firm or giving them the ability to legally replace the members of a group while keeping the name going. (Remember the story of the 5 Crowns/Drifters?) In such instances, management held complete power over the group. Leonard's copyright filing made it such that neither Sill, Leiber and Stoller, or Atlantic, would ever own the Robins name." As of late 1955, The Robins, by the way, were Carl Gardner, (lead), Bobby Nunn (bass), "Ty" Terrell Leonard (tenor), brothers,Billy and Roy Richard (baritones). Marv continues, "The Robins were going through some trauma because of the Atlantic takeover. They were invited to come along with the deal, but there was a problem: it meant relocating to New York. Remember that the Robins weren't big on signing contracts. Bobby Nunn realized the potential and pulled out of the group, which replaced him with baritone/bass Hidle Brown 'H.B.' Barnum (who had been in the Dootones) and kept going as a sextet. The Robins hooked up with concert promoter/disc jockey Gene Norman, who had presented the group live on numerous occasions. Signed to Norman's new Whippet label, the group began practicing a couple of songs to record: 'Cherry Lips,' and 'Out Of The Picture.' 'Cherry Lips' was supposed to be led by Carl Gardner, but on the day of the session (probably in early December when 'Smokey Joe's Café' debuted on the national R&B charts) Leiber and Stoller showed up with some legal papers and took him away before he could record. The session went on anyway, with Grady Chapman singing the lead. In actuality, the documents were phony; L&S just wanted to get Carl away from what Carl calls 'some unhealthy influences.' Since Carl knew more about the business than the other Robins, he wasn't afraid of contracts, and wound up re-joining Bobby Nunn in the Atco camp. Gardner and Nunn recruited 19-year old comedy singer Billy Guy (of Bip & Bop) and Leon Hughes, a veteran of the Hollywood Flames to form a quartet which they dubbed 'The Coasters' (to preserve their West Coast heritage). Leiber and Stoller took the new group into Hollywood's Radio Recorders on January 11, 1956. It didn't take long before they coasted off into Rock'N'Roll history. Still embittered over the deal, Ty Terrell claims that Gardner was lured away from them with pocket change and that the other Robins were replaced with individuals who would be 'easier to control.' Ultimately, L&S must have felt that the rest of the group was expendable. 'The Richard brothers and Ty Terrell didn't sing lead at all,' Stoller told one interviewer in the early 1970s. 'They usually sang 'do-wah,' 'do-wah' and had their hands up in the air like that (waving his fingers).' They also owned the group name, which must have been disconcerting to their managers." This is the first record issued by The Coasters from their only session of 1956 and this line-up.

Robotech masters Disc 7 A New Threat, Episode 37 Dana's Story. Part 1 of 4. This is the first disc of the second robotech war known as THE MASTERS. The Robotech Masters were the creators of Robotech knolodge. Robotech is the combination of robotics and a new technology based on a substance called PROTOCULTUR. Protoculter is derived from the flower of life, which originally grew only on the Invid home planet OPRATA. The Flower was discovered by the first Robotech Master ZOR PRIME, he suduced the queen of the invid called the Regis, to gain the flower of life and learn of its secrets. After he had the flower of life and all the information that the invid had(originally the invid were a peaceful race) he left Oprata for his home world of Tirol. Once home he discovered the true power of the flower of life this being PROTOCULTER. Protoculter is a biomass bioenergy that has the ability of induce a form of fusion. This is done by restricting the germination of the seeds of the flower, this in combination with D2O(heavy waterr deuterium) and the introduction of a rare element called monopole ore allows FTL(faster then light travel) called a hyperfold. (some estimate the fold speed to be 1 light year every 6 minutes) during the fold time almost stands still. The other major attribute of protoculter is that through equipment worn by a humanoid or other... the bioenergy combines the man with the machine making the reaction time of the mecha remarkable. Also, mechamorphose is possible, this being the transformation form one for into two or three different configurations. This with the addition of many other attributes of protoculter lead to entire new science this being robotech. Life spans were increased by centuries(for those of the upper class i.e the masters) Clones were come place as well as genitic a;teration and adaptation to any specific enviornment. This lead to a clone race called the Zentradi. These were 60 foot tall warriors, originally used in the mines of Phatomos, the location of the monopole ore, which w/o this ore hyperdrive was unmaintable. Yet being able to alter there genetic make up to match any enviorment they proved to be a perfect solder as well as expendable, since they were clones. After the masters had the flower of life they sent a fleet of space ships to defoliate Oprata, so that they were the only ones to have the key to protoculter. After hearing of this Zor rebeled, with little effect. What he did do was alter the flower of life so that it would only germinate new seed about 40 or 50 times and then would b/c inert and unusable. This keep the Masters in check for only Zor had the key to the protoculer which was the protoculter matrix. With out the Matrix no know seed could be sown. Eventually Zor and about 1/4 of the tirolians revolted. They lost and were force to do hit and run warfare for centures, this faction was called the Zor Civ faction. Zor himself left Tirol abord the newest starship the SDF1 superdimentional fortress, renamed the Macross SDF1. He set the ship on a cours that lead to earth were it crash landed with much of the technosystems intacked. The micronians rebuilt the ship and entered the world of Robotech. There are many other races that the Tirolians deal with, yet I will not get into that, the only race I will mention is the Invid. Once there flower was stolen and planet attacked, they responded in kind with force, which lead to centuries of warfare, and with Zor gone as well as the Matrix the Robotech masters are in dire need of a new supply of protoculture believed to be on earth, and that is were I shall leave this description. Enjoy and take it light.

Dogs are used to represent the megalomaniacal businessmen who destroy themselves and those around them by obsessing over their egos and their careers. A number of comparisons are made and metaphors used to show how close these businessmen are with dogs, for example "Got to be able to pick out the easy meat with your eyes closed" the meat representing deals and opportunities for the businessmen. It is a long, increasingly haunting song at over seventeen minutes. During their tour in 1974 Pink Floyd played three new songs in the first half of the shows, followed by the whole of the The Dark Side of the Moon album. Those three new songs were "You Gotta Be Crazy" (which would later become "Dogs"), "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" and "Raving And Drooling" (which would later become "Sheep"). During 1974 performances of "You Gotta Be Crazy", David Gilmour would sing the song in a faster speed than the versions on the 1975 US tour and the Animals album. "You Gotta Be Crazy" was about the problems one had to deal with in life. The lyrics were modified by the time the song was played live in 1975 and then the lyrics changed again when recording Animals. Both "You Gotta Be Crazy" and "Raving And Drooling" were originally planned to be on the album following the tour Wish You Were Here, but the plans were changed (which later became a point of dispute between Gilmour and Waters, as an early sign of their later animosity) and they both ended up in different forms on Animals. Lyrics: I gotta admit that I'm a little bit confused. Sometimes it seems to me as if I'm just being used. Gotta stay awake, gotta try and shake off this creeping malaise. If I don't stand my own ground, how can I find my way out of this maze? Deaf, dumb, and blind, you just keep on pretending That everyone's expendable and no-one has a real friend. And it seems to you the thing to do would be to isolate the winner And everything's done under the sun, And you believe at heart, everyone's a killer. Who was born in a house full of pain. Who was trained not to spit in the fan. Who was told what to do by the man. Who was broken by trained personnel. Who was fitted with collar and chain. Who was given a pat on the back. Who was breaking away from the pack. Who was only a stranger at home. Who was ground down in the end. Who was found dead on the phone. Who was dragged down by the stone.
NO WELCOME FOR BUSH BELFAST - 16/06/08 - Part 1 On 16th June 2008 George W. Bush, the most unpopular U.S. president in history, visited Belfast as part of a european tour aimed at whitewashing his reputation with a rub from the peace-process while at the same time attempting to garner support for his upcoming plans for an attack on Iran. Large numbers of people, including a number of the largest unions, mobilised to show their opposition - not only to the war-mongering president, but also to the invite from those who claim to represent us that brought him here. This footage forms the first half of coverage of a range of events staged over the weekend up to and including the demonstrations on Monday 16th June 2008 that greeted the unwelcome Bush. As with Blair following a similar visit in the dying days of his regime attempting to re-write his legacy as that of a peace-maker, Bush will be remembered instead as someone who has commited crimes against humanity in launching phony wars and against the planet in general in his reckless continued disregard for environmental issues. ******************************************** Statement from the Belfast Anti War Movement following announcement of Bush's visit -------------------------------------------- We are appalled at the news that George Bush will visit Belfast next month. It is disgraceful that his visit is as a result of an invitation issued by the First Minister and Deputy First Minister. This part of the world more than most places has an understanding of the deep damage and pain that war and conflict produces. George Bush is internationally regarded as a warmonger. The so called "war on terror", now rebranded as the "war for democracy" that he has championed has inflicted that damage and pain on countless millions. The world has seen the particular type of Bush "democracy" that was brought to Iraq in the form of the torture photos of prisoners held at Abu Ghraib Prison and the pictures of twisted bodies lying in the streets of Baghdad's marketplaces. There are now over 2 million internally displaced Iraqis who have been forced to flee their homes. There are also over 3 million refugees who have been forced to flee the country completely. According to CNN almost a third of all Iraqi children are suffering from chronic malnutrition and almost three quarters of Iraqi civilians no longer have access to clean water. Bush's phony war has done nothing except create global misery and despair. His justification of the war has been to condemn Muslims as backward fundamentalists prone to violence. This has led to a massive increase in Islamophobia and racist attacks committed against those perceived to be Muslim has risen massively in recent years. Apart from the war, Bush's international crimes include a refusal to sign up to Kyoto and a refusal to do anything meaningful about global warming. This has placed the lives of millions of people in immediate danger due to the freak weather conditions that are already taking place. Longer term, the very planet itself is at risk. Bush has also been responsible for misery much closer to home. Americans rightly accused Bush of leaving the residents of New Orleans to perish following Hurricane Katrina simply because they were black and poor and therefore considered expendable. Whilst he has spent countless billions on the war he has left millions of Americans without a proper healthcare system and a proper social security infrastructure. Bush has presided over a country where ordinary working people have seen their conditions deteriorate massively. While the poor have gotten poorer, the rich have gotten richer. George Bush is the most unpopular President in US history. According to the Washington Post his current approval rating is less that thirty percent. George Bush is not liked in the US and he is not liked here. It is not surprising that media blogs following the announcement were filled with messages condemning the visit. When George Bush visits here in June we will make sure that he is followed by protests wherever he goes. We call on all of those who oppose this visit to ensure that they are on those protests and that they make their voices heard. OUR MESSAGE IS CLEAR: GEORGE BUSH IS NOT WANTED HERE .

Large numbers of people, including a number of the largest unions, mobilised to show their opposition - not only to the war-mongering president, but also to the invite from those who claim to represent us that brought him here. This footage forms the second half of coverage of a range of events staged over the weekend up to and including the demonstrations on Monday 16th June 2008 that greeted the unwelcome Bush.
He says it is not just the region that he was in for other reasons. Perry and that pastor walk out the door. Then He was at the Gulf of Mexico. First He was looking toward Venezuela then he turned and He was looking at the Middle East. Suddenly he sees an oil tornado. This was the largest tornado that he has ever seen in a vision or dream. It was made of black oil (unrefined oil). Then he went into a building. Then he said this is the big one and now its time to pray. It started moving the building and shaking it. During the first four he was under a covering. He said that there is a tornado evolving oil that is coming to the United States. He told this at Tommy Bates church and shared it with other places. He stops and shares another thing with us. He says that all of these things are starting to make since to him. It is an imagery of two or three things happening at once. His son was at the door of the house. He said to Perry; Dad come here you aren't going to believe this. He opened the door. He saw a costal area and he saw these nuclear reactors that began to spin. When that happened they became a tornado. Tornados mean a sudden storm or a sudden attack. He remembers looking and there were bulls. They looked like the brass bull in front of the stock market. They were running. Immediately he said that the stock market is going to go completely out because of what just happened here. The nuclear reactor tornado would affect the market. Like everyone had pulled their money out. The bulls were running and it wasn't a good sight. Then He saw his wife and she was trying to get to them. He told his son to get to the basement of the house. He was told from someone who worked at the reactors that they knew Al Qaeda was trying to target their nuclear reactors. Perry Stone says that the reactors are safe. He knew that security was tight so how could anyone attack them. Then he heard that Israel was getting ready to bomb the reactors in Iran. If Israel attacks Iran there will be a lot of repercussions. One of those will be oil. That were we see things getting affected in America. It is people expendable income. They won't have the same expendable income to spend like they normally would. He says that he is trying to put two and two together. He says that the attack on the refinery from the vision could be the one in Louisiana. A ministry partner came to him and said this. Perry I used to work at the _So__ and __So__ refinery in Louisiana. He named the city and refinery that Perry was concerned about. He told Perry something that had happened while he was working there. On the back side of that refinery there is a river. Men in boats were coming up that river. They were Middle Eastern people that were taking pictures and video of the refinery. They called the coast guard but by the time they got there the men had disappeared. This bothered Perry because a while back a police officer pulled a group of men over. They had a book that marked all of the roads and side roads of the city. They also had pictures of the refinery and how to get to it. They couldn't arrest them because they hadn't done anything wrong. Perry Stone says that that reason the Holy Spirit want him to share with us is because so that the people at the refineries will double or even triple their security. Perry Stone says that if it were him he would have guards at the entrances or exits with machine guns. That's how serious this is. There are tornados coming that will affect things. The trucks will be affected first. Then it will affect the malls. Then the restaurants. Then the mom and pop shops. Then it goes into the biggest oil tornado. When the oil tornado hit it turned into a caped oil well. This means that the oil will be hindered somehow. He says that he wishes he could be positive all the time but the Holy Spirit wants him to tell these things. He tells two reasons he is sharing this with us. First is because he believes that God wants to make it known so that some of this can be prevented especially the attack on the refinery. When the terrorist were in Florida the were 30 minutes away from where Perry was when God gave him that 1996 vision of the trade centers shrouded in darkness and the 5 great tornados coming off of it.
TIP Dir. Rev. Dr. Lynn Hubbard: I think we have here two different forms of religion. Ands its this religion of my ancestors that I participate in that I think really has been the problem. I think we have to come to understand that religious consciousness evolves just like anything else does. It's not just the material world that evolves but also our cultural world evolves and the realm of the concept evolves. We are going now, as a people - there was a time from prehistorical religions to historic religions. the religions of the book Judaism, Christianity, Islam to this historic period. Now I think that religious consciousness is transending to this transrational understanding of spirituality. And as part of this transrational understanding of spirituality is an appropriation of this knowledge and spirituality of Earth-based cultures. I think we have to be open now to what John Trudell called 'spirit making and escape.' I love this idea. My spirit needs to make an escape from my religious consciousness. And one of the ways my spirit has been greatly helped to make this escape from the techologic mining process that we all go through - is because of the grace of God. I got to become friends with many people who extended friendship to me and taught me how to listen - taught me about myself and taught me these great learnings and teachings and wisdom that can come from our brothers and sisters - who still - despite their painful history at our hands that still goes on today. The racial and cultural genocide that still goes on today inside this country - they taught me how to transcend myself and how to get to this other higher level of spiritual consciousness. And I am very grateful for that. Judaism is an inherently ethical religion except you have to be a Canaanite. You may get your ass kicked or your head cut off but basically it's OK. But sky Gods and cultures that worship sky Gods are traditionally barbaric - Read the Old Testament - Wow! Talk about patriarchy. But we are in a war. It is not a war of my choosing. But we are in a war I truly believe that - a war fore our hearts and our minds. We have to continually fight. It's multi-generational. We fight against great principalities and powers. It's amazing. If you stick your head up out of the foxhole just a little bit and you start speaking on behalf of the poor. Those bullets are flying. I said something about a corporation. I said we created these corporations and political structures that aren't moral entities because if you are a moral entity you have to say things like: 'I'm sorry. I made a mistake.' You have to admit your humanness. When's the last time your heard a politician ever admit a mistake unless they were forced to? 'I did not have sex with that woman - I did not inhale - yes I smoked but I did not inhale' And I said corporations are liked this too - they are not moral entities because they cannot do these things like apologize. Well, good Lord that's attacking a sacred cow - there's a guy in my congregation who just went ballistic - who quit the church because he had spent his entire life benefitting from, working for, a non-moral entity. I did not say all corporations were liked this - I just said some corporations are like this. Well that's all you have to say. And you start talking to Euro-American people about the reality of Native American peoples - in my world. Rev. Hubbard said Americans and all people who call Earth home need to protect the environment. He said we have lost the sense of the sacred - a lesson that can be learned from Native Americans and other Indigenous peoples. I understand this because I feel desperate. What John Trudell was talking about is the same way. We've lost our way. We do not have any spiritual sense because we have lost any sense of the sacred. A great historian of the religions Mircea Eliade who was at the University of Chicago where I for many years - I did his funeral. Mircea Eliade had this notion that in order to have a hierophany, an experience of the sacred, you have to have sacred space. If this Earth is not sacred to you, which it isn't to Mickey Mouse, then you can't have an experience of the sacred. I deal with people every day in my congregation who have lost or are losing any sense of the sacred. And it's not only - like you were saying this relationship between Earth and women - and the earth and man. If you do not have power in a capitalistic society, you become part of. and you are thought of in terms of the Earth. Women who have less economic power, children who don't have any power at all unless somebody gives it to them, Indigenous communities, you are all thought of as expendable commodities.
A friend asked me did I enjoy working for QVC. I had to answer I loved and hated it. I loved the fame it brought me. I loved that when I was out in public, people recognized me, but I hated what I did. I hated that I was pushing products to people who were starving for a need. These were people who would buy products they did not need to connect with someone. I hated hawking products you could buy in a local K-mart. What I was proud of was my "Destination: Africa" show because it was a first. I was giving African--Americans a showcase to see their products in a venue where they might not have been available to them. I was proud to showcase our culture and beauty. I was proud to talk of Africa's rich heritage. "Destination: Africa" to me was more than a shopping show. It was my prime-time special. It was my shining moment on television. I sat next to a real African princess adored in gold leaves. I was invited to go to Ghana and participate in an African naming ceremony. (QVC refused to let me go) The success of Destination: Africa was my Emmy and Grammy and Oscar all rolled up into one. QVC helped me see my dreams of being a name on television, but when they had no more use of me, I was expendable. An independent investor approached me to host an all black shopping network, but they never raised the completed funds. In addition, my contract forbade me to work for another shopping channel within 13 months of leaving QVC, although they were letting me go. A little over a year later, I got a call from one of my former co-hosts who had become a producer on a new channel in New York called The Global Shopping Network. They offered me a position and even allowed me to produce a version of my African themed show (African Accents) also with a limited line of my dolls. It was a satellite feed with an audience even smaller that the Fashion Channel. Although we sold a lot of jewelry, the shows we did at GSN focused on some of the special things you can only find in New York. My love of movies was highlighted in a "Hollywood Memorabilia" show that was broadcast on my birthday. I did a special Elvis Presley show dressed as a black Elvis. They even surprised me with a toy Oscar. I loved working for GSN. I felt like I was Gladys Knight at Budda records, a big fish in a small pond.
On February 24, 1993 the two hour "event" moved like a dream. Clarence and I opened the show together and then we alternated back and forth between products on different sets, throwing back to each other like seasoned reporters in the field. We were joined together when it was time to sell my dolls and I told the story of them and the African names I created for them and the special printed cards of authorization. The dolls sold out in about 5 minutes. The original show did $311, 000 in sales and generated 221 new names. QVC wanted to repeat it as an annual Black History Month event. I explained (as I had done to so many white people), the celebration of black culture can be celebrated at all times of the year. By the time I had left QVC, I hosted 4 shows and the final sales were over a million dollars. I had brought 2,050 new viewers to the channel shopping. I am sure many of them were black. Ebony Man magazine even did a piece on the show with a picture of me and Clarence. It was my shining moment during my stay there. I basked in my "Gladys Knight" moment. This is what it felt like when I Heard it through the Grapevine became Motown's biggest hit. The second tier group didn't do too shabby! A friend asked me did I enjoy working for QVC. RIP Deborah Palfrey. Obviously a victim of Dick Cheney, the most prominent and vicious member of the list of clients of her proffessional services. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dc_madam Deborah Jeane Palfrey (March 18, 1956 -- May 1, 2008)[1] was the former owner of Pamela Martin and Associates, which the United States government alleges was a prostitution service in Washington, D.C. She was charged with operating a house of prostitution.[2] Palfrey claims the services she offered were legal.[2] She has been nicknamed the D.C. Madam by the news media. On April 15, 2008, she was found guilty by a DC jury on all counts. She lived in Escondido, California, prior to apparently committing suicide at her mother's home on May 1, 2008 in Tarpon Springs, Florida. DC Madam Predicted She Would Be Suicided Paul Joseph Watson Prison Planet Thursday, May 1, 2008 DC Madam Deborah Jeane Palfrey predicted she would be "suicided" on several occasions both recently and as far back as 17 years ago - comments that now appear ominous in light of the announcement that the former head of a Washington escort service allegedly killed herself today. "If taken into custody, my physical safety and most probably my very life would be jeopardized," she wrote in August 1991 following an attempt to bring her to trial, "Rape, beating, maiming, disfigurement and more than likely murder disguised in the form of just another jailhouse accident or suicide would await me," said Palfrey in a handwritten letter to the judge accusing the San Diego police vice squad of having a vendetta against her. During several recent appearances on The Alex Jones Show, Palfrey also said that she was at risk of being killed and that authorities would make it look like suicide. She made it clear that she was not suicidal and if she was found dead it would be murder. Palfrey had threatened to release the names of well-known clients of her upscale call girl ring in the nation's capitol, and had indicated that Dick Cheney may be one of them. "No I'm not planning to commit suicide," Palfrey told The Alex Jones Show on her last appearance, "I'm planning on going into court and defending myself vigorously and exposing the government," she said. That's not exactly a paragon of virtue there." Rebuttal to all who think the same way: "the oldest proffession known to mankind, helping ugly, socially inept, lonely, needy mankind for our entire existence? Not virtuous? Boy, you need to get your head checked. Now, i'm the last person who'd ever need prostitution... ;) But I certainly don't think there's anything wrong with this, especially since the service she ran, if you bothered to investigate, was one of the cleanest around. After all... they did have Cheney on the list, right? They were well paid, proffessional women who wanted to live a more lavish lifestyle and enjoyed what they did. They weren't sex slaves. So don't be cass, this woman is dead, murdered, and we should get to the bottom of it, lest our lives be rendered so expendable." "My god.. I remember Alex Jones asking her specifically on his radio show, are you willing to commit suicide? She gave an overwhelming no. But she seemed sad all the while, even after being prosecuted. Probably because she knew this was going to happen. And why was that? Because of this man being on her list of clients: http://digg.com/politics/Breaking_Cheney_on_the_DC_Madam_... **http://www.rense.com/general76/chen.htm I didn't think they just kill someone out in the open like this. They're pretty bold now. But this is Cheney you're talking about. He murders 2 million people in Iraq in front of you and you pussies didn't do a damn thing. Who's ashamed to be American? Please raise your hands." Alex Jones just announced that Deborah Jeane Palfrey's assistant Brandy was found dead as well. This was the girl that was rumored to have been Dick Cheney's "girl" at the firm. They are claiming this one is a suicide too. I don't know where he got that info...I can't find the source. I think he said her name was Brandy Britain or Britton.... "One of the escort service employees was former University of Maryland, Baltimore County, professor Brandy Britton, who was arrested on prostitution charges in 2006. In an article about R.E.M.'s "Accelerate" that I read in TIME magazine today, they were stating that the three anterior albums (i.e. Up, Reveal, Around The Sun) were expendable. Just proves the sort of dorks they are, in my opinion.
John Wayne and Robert Montgomery share leading roles in this action story about America's early days in World War Two. The story is set in the Philippines, where both men are captains of US Navy PT Boats. Wayne falls in love with a nurse(Donna Reed) and as the days progess the Japanese advance and the Americans are hopelessly outnumbered and fight for their very survival. Great supporting cast includes Ward Bond, Leon Ames, Marshall Thompson and Cameron Mitchell, in only his second credited onscreen appearance.

It's David vs. Goliath on the seas when Rusty Ryan and John Brickly lead the Navy's new PT boats into the Battle of the Philippines during the early days of WWII. Outgunned and outmanned, the skippers and their crews defy the odds and prove the effectiveness of their highly maneuverable boats. They hit, they run, they return to fight again - and they play a vital role in the holding action that buys valuable time for the U.S. after the crippling attack on Pearl Harbor. Montgomery and Wayne turn in acclaimed performances in this powerful film that is widely recognized as one of director John Ford's all-time greatest works. Scripted by naval Commander Frank Wead and based on the novel by William I. White, it is one of the best contemporary films about the war.
The General Dynamics FIM-43 Redeye was a man-portable surface-to-air missile system. It used infrared homing to track its target. Production was terminated in September 1969 after about 85,000 rounds had been built - in anticipation of the Redeye II, that would later become the FIM-92 Stinger. The Redeye was withdrawn gradually between 1982 and 1995 as the Stinger was deployed. Development In 1948 the United States Army began looking for new infantry air-defense weapons, as machine guns were proving ineffective against new fast jets. Several gun/rocket systems were investigated but none showed enough promise to pursue. In the mid 1950s Convair began studies of a man portable infrared guided missile. In November 1956 the results of these studies were shown to the US Army and USMC. In 1957 official requirements were formulated, and in 1958 Convair was awarded a contract to start development of the system. In July 1959 the development project began, in March 1960, the first test rounds were fired. Launches from a launch tube followed in May 1961, with a shoulder launch occurring in 1961. Technical problems prevented the missile entering full production: the missile did not live up to its specifications - being slower, less manoeuverable and less accurate. During the testing, substantial use was made of the Atlantic Research MQR-16 Gunrunner expendable target missile. Limited production began as XM41 Redeye Block I. The missile was designated XMIM-43A in June 1963. Block I systems were then evaluated between 1965 and 1966. Block II systems designated XM41E1 began development in 1964, the missile being designated XMIM-43B. The missiles were delivered in April 1966, and included a new gas-cooled detector cell, a slightly redesigned launcher and an improved warhead. In 1965 to 1966 General Dynamics developed the final Redeye Block III configuration, designated at first XM41E2 with XFIM-43C missiles. The missiles retained the seeker from the Block II missile, but included a new rocket motor, warhead and fuse. The launcher also now had an XM-62 open sight and upgraded electronics. The new missile could turn at up to 3g. The missile achieved a kill probability against F9F tactical drones travelling at 430 knots at an altitude of 100 meters of 0.51. From this it was calculated that the kill probability versus a MiG-21 at similar altitude would be 0.403, and 0.53 against helicopters. Kill probability against larger propeller driven aircraft like the AN-12 was estimated at 0.43. Production of the Block III systems began in May 1967. In 1968 Block III was finally declared operational. History Redeye missiles were delivered to the Mujahideen by the US during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1984, where they were used to shoot down a number of aircraft including several Su-25 jets as well as Mi-24 and Mi-8 helicopters. By November 1985 it had largely been replaced by the dramatically more successful FIM-92 Stinger missiles. The Redeye was known as Hamlet in Danish service. Description The missile is fired from the M171 missile launcher. First the seeker is cooled to operating temperature, the operator then begins visually tracking the target - using the sight unit on the launcher. Once the target is locked onto by the missile a buzzer in the launcher hand grip begins vibrating, alerting the operator. The operator then presses the trigger, which fires the initial booster stage and launches the missile out of the tube at a speed of around 80 feet per second (25 m/s). As the missile leaves the tube spring-loaded fins pop out, 4 stabilizing tail fins at the back of the missile, and two control surfaces at the front of the missile. Once the missile has traveled six meters, the sustainer motor ignites. The sustainer motor takes the missile to its peak velocity of Mach 1.7 in 5.8 seconds. 1.25 seconds after the sustainer is ignited, the warhead is armed. The missile's seeker is only capable of tracking the hot exhausts of aircraft, which limits the engagements to tail-chase only. The missile's blast fragmentation warhead is triggered by an impact fuze requiring a direct hit. As a first generation missile it is susceptible to a variety of countermeasures including flares and hot brick jammers. In addition, its inability to manoeuver at a rate greater than 3 G means that it can be simply out turned if it is spotted. The last plane out of the Philippines. Scene from the John Ford movie where PT boat captain Robert Montgomery and his second lieutenant John Wayne take their seats on the final flight out of the islands besieged by the Japs. Some other crew members are bumped off the flight at the last minute to face incarceration and probably death at the hands of warriors of Nippon.
Although the available high explosives possessed great destructive power, perhaps the most potent of German bombs remained the tiny B1 El, a 1 kg incendiary which, dropped in profusion in 1940/41, caused millions of pounds worth of fire damage and virtually burnt out whole districts of British cities. BRANDBOMB, 1 KILOGRAMME, ELEKTRON or B1 El, was the designation of the standard 1 kg incendiary bomb. They consisted of a cylinder of Magnesium Alloy (Elektron), with an incendiary filling of Thermite. These weapons, which burnt with a heat sufficient to melt steel, were ignited by a small percussion charge in the nose which fired on impact. In an attempt to make these weapons even more effective, and to defeat the fire-fighters efforts, the Germans introduced explosive charges into the nose or tail of some incendiary bombs. The charge was initiated either by the heat of combustion, or by a more complicated device that incorporated a delay of about 7 minutes. The various versions of this bomb included the letter Z in their designation, indicating explosive charge. Thus the standard B1 El incendiary bomb fitted with an explosive charge detonated by heat was designated B1 EL ZA, and that detonated by a delay B1 El ZB, while in 1944, a further development was introduced, the 2.2 kg steel nosed B2 E. The Luftwaffe used various types of containers to carry and drop small incendiary bombs and in the early part of the war these were usually expendable, aimable types, designated AB (Abwurf Behalter) or BSK (BombenSchaltKasten), holding some 36 B1 El's. During early 1942 the AB 500 container, which held 140 B1 El's was more effective than the older BSK 36, the new container held not only more incendiaries but concentrated its entire contents over a small area. The final development was introdced for the Steinbock operation in 1944 during which the bombers were to carry the AB 1000, capable of holding up to 620 B1 El's or 360 B2 E's. The civilian destruction caused by such weapons quickly earned them a reputation as terror weapons (e.g., German Terrorflieger) with the targeted populations, and more than a few shot-down aircrews were summarily executed by angry civilians upon capture. The Nazi regime began the campaign of incendiary bombings with the bombing of London in 1940-41, and reprisal was exacted by the Allies in the bombing of Dresden in World War II, a major Nazi transport hub, and to a lesser degree the 1943 bombing of Hamburg, a war-material production site. Since white phosphorus can be used as a multipurpose device to mark targets, provide a smoke screen, or signal to friendly troops, it may not be covered by UN protocols on incendiary weapons when used in this fashion. Protocol III of the UN Convention on Conventional Weapons prohibits the use of incendiary weapons against civilians (effectively a reaffirmation of the general prohibition on attacks against civilians in Additional Protocol I to the Geneva Conventions), prohibits the use of air-delivered incendiary weapons against military targets located within concentrations of civilians and loosely regulates the use of other types of incendiary weapons in such circumstances.
Black Hebrew Israelite mercilessly educates young woman concerning the black contributions to American war efforts, and the nothing they received in return. ------------------------------- Black soldiers shut down the war The Times concedes that Black casualties were high "in the early stages of the American ground war in 1965 and 1966, when there were large numbers of blacks in front-line combat units." Here, the historical revision begins. "Army and Marine Corps commanders later took steps to reassign black servicemen to other jobs to equalize deaths, according to Col. Harry G. Summers Jr. in 'Vietnam War Almanac.' By the end of the war," said the Times, "African-Americans had suffered 12.5 percent of the total deaths in Vietnam, 1 percentage point less than their proportion in the overall population, Colonel Summers wrote." Colonel Summers and the New York Times are talking nonsense. It is laughable to pretend that U.S. military brass acted at any time to limit Black casualty rates - What? In order to increase white death rates?! Commanders "took steps to reassign black servicemen" because African American soldiers collectively resisted Washington's plans to make them the expendable casualties of Vietnam. They effectively shut down the war from within - a history that has never been fully told, but one that is seared in the memories of those in charge of America's current and future imperial enterprises. Despite horrendous Black casualties in the early Vietnam years, a whiter casualty list was the last thing on the Pentagon's mind. President Lyndon Johnson and Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara were most concerned about how to pull off a massive increase in U.S. troop strength without dipping too deeply into the white middle class youth pool. So, in 1966, a year that began with 200,000 men in Vietnam, Secretary McNamara announced Project 100,000, the most cynical race-class ploy ever lumped under the umbrella of LBJ's War on Poverty. As Defense Department manpower official Dr. Wayne S. Sellman explained [...] continued at: http://www.blackcommentator.com/49/49_street.html
Underneath the sleepy suburbs of Orange, New Jersey, USA, lies a unique site in the history of labour rights and the understanding of radioactive materials. For it was in a factory here in the 1920s that almost hundred young women were slowly poisoned to death with radium. Grace Fryer started working in the spring of 1917 with 70 other women in a large, dusty room filled with long tables. Racks of dials waiting to be painted sat next to each woman's chair. The workers mixed glue, water and radium powder together and applied the glowing paint onto the racks of dials with camel hair brushes. The brushes would lose their shape after a few strokes, so the women pointed them with their lips to keep them sharp. The women painted their nails, teeth and faces with the radium paint for entertainment when the lights went out. The factory was so full of radium dust that the women's skin and hair glowed by the time they left work. "Not to worry," their bosses said; "If you swallow any radium, it'll make your cheeks rosy." US Radium denied that the women were suffering from radium exposure. A campaign of disinformation was started by the company; following pressure by the corporation, doctors attributed workers' deaths to other causes. Syphilis was often blamed in an attempt to tarnish the reputations of the women. Meanwhile, the owners and the scientists of US Radium — familiar with the element's effects — carefully avoided any exposure to themselves, using lead screens, masks and tongs around the material. Like other factory workers at that time, the 'Radium Girls' were expendable. Grace Fryer decided to sue US radium in 1925. Grace had quit the factory in 1920 for a better job as a bank teller. But in 1922, her teeth started falling out and her jaw developed a painful abscess. The hazel eyes that had charmed her friends now clouded with pain. She consulted a series of doctors, but none had seen a problem like it. X -ray photos of her mouth and back showed the development of serious bone decay. Finally, in July 1925, one doctor suggested that the problems might have been caused by her former occupation. It took Grace two years to find a lawyer willing to take on US Radium. Grace and her fellow workers had some success in their battle against US Radium. The company — despite never admitting responsibility — paid the workers a combined settlement of over $20,000. All this, however, was too late for the Grace and her colleagues; all five women were dead by the 1930s. Their deaths changed labour laws and views on radioactivity forever. Expendable By Derek Tang There was a time When things seemed they'd last forever I thought you were mine And that'd we'd always be together But look at us now I don't see it ever coming true CH: I was a fool for you, but to you I was expendable Whatever I do it never seemed to make us probable Cuz I was a fool for you, but to you I was expendable Nothing I do could ever seem to make us probable There was a time When things seemed to change for the better But love was a crime Cuz we never could get through the weather You'd lead me on Only to turn around and shut me down This is goodbye This is farewell We've had our run But our end has come
http://www.webalice.it/romanoarchives/ The Goliath (SdKfz 302) light remote-controlled demolition charge layer was a small, expendable vehicle designed to destroy heavily fortified and defended targets that were otherwise unapproachable. The first version of this diminutive vehicle - which was entirely remote controlled and had no crew - was developed in 1940 by Borgward, and went into production in 1942 as a mine-clearing device, as well as a weapon to destroy road barriers, fortifications, and other difficult targets. Guidance was provided by a three strand wire: two for steering, and one for detonating the 60kg explosive charge. The vehicle was powered by two electric motors developing 6.8hp each, which could propel Goliath at up to 10 km/hr over 1,500 meters before depleting the batteries. Production of this version of Goliath totaled 2,650, but they lacked sufficient range and could not carry a sufficient amount of explosive to be truly effective. However, in 1943 a new version (SdKfz 303) was introduced that was powered by a 12.5hp motorcycle engine and could carry a charge of up to 100kg. This version could travel at 12 km/hr, and over 4,900 were built from 1943 until production ceased in January 1945. Goliath was issued to Armored Engineer Companies (Panzerpionierkompanien Goliath) 811 through 815, as well as Army Engineer Brigade (Heerespionierbrigade) 627 and Heavy Army Anti-Tank Battalion (Schwere Heeres-Panzerjägerabteilung) 654.
