Here's some video I shot of the Midwest Central Railroad during the 2009 Old Threshers Reunion in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. This video features 0-4-0T steam locomotive #16, seen at various locations along the line in different parts of the grounds, during the first three days of the Reunion. Number 16 is a tank engine built in Germany in 1951, and is the only coal-burner on the MCRR. Due to engine #6's absence, #16 was filling in, pulling regular passenger trains almost the entire time. I like to call this engine "Percy" since it looks so much like Percy in Thomas the Tank Engine. Even though he's small, he can still pull quite a load!
I wasn't going to upload this for a while but I watched it again and realized why this is my favourite episode so far. Anyway, I don't think season 2 will be posted this fall. One more thing. The next episode, which is also the last of season 1, was never posted due to some big issues I realized when I was editing it. I ended up saying the work "skank" twice without realizing it. One of the characters threatens Gordon. And the final one; I wanted to try adding diversity to my stories, so when I drew up one of the workmen, I made him black. I'm not sure if some would consider that racist or not. But those are the reasons why the episode was not posted over a year ago. So it's your decision whether I should post it or not. But again, I might also not post it if the popularity for the first 6 episodes does not return. Without further ado, try to enjoy the possible last episode of Ertl! :)
Two episodes in 1 day! Woo hoo! Actually, I've got an interesting bit of information here. When I was filming episode 4, it was originally going to be about Gordon and D199. I only filmed about half, and I had to clean up the set (I forget the reason why). I was too lazy to rebuild the set when I returned to filming. And I had just seen the Season 10 episode about Henry like this, so I made this episode instead. Maybe someday I'll post what I did film of the first episode 4. BTW, it was called "Gordon and the Diesel." Anyway, please enjoy!
