This is aworkshop from the new opera/musical, RED WHITE & BLUE with Contemporary Opera Los Angeles on September 6, 2007, directed by Tom Villano. RED WHITE & BLUE is a "Play within a Play" and has 3 acts: Act I: "The Audition." Act II: "The Rehearsal" Act III: "The Performance". In this clip from Act III, we see the girls in Red (Edith Evans) White (Delaina Brown) and Blue (Lisa Boyd) singing the Presidents in chronological order. They were all supposed to wear the unflattering column dresses, but the girl in Blue decided to wear something form fitting and fabulous. The other girls are furious because their dresses resemble potato sacks. Music by Susan Asbjornson, lyrics by history, Orchestra conducted and music orchestrated by Pancho Burgos, Bill Protzmann on piano. www.contemporaryopera.com Like this video?
