The I-15 core project in Utah County has taken over the shoulders. The UDOT Courtesy Patrol is in charge of looking out for stranded motorists and help get them moving again.
The east span of the new South Layton Interchange was successfully "launched" into place August 22. Ralph L. Wadsworth crews began the final moved of the 2.5 million pound bridge at 11:50 pm and gradually inced the structure into position by 5 am The launch of the huge structure involved sliding it forward with huge hydraulic rams while the bridge slid on Teflon-coated pads lubricated with oil.
