President Obama's $789 billion economic recovery package is expected to generate nearly one million technology-related jobs. The stimulus plan calls for $19 billion in spending on health IT system modernization, $11 billion on smart grids and $7 billion for broadband network expansion. As these projects come to fruition, US companies will need software developers, IT consultants and managers who possess both technology and business skills necessary to support these investments.
