Multimedia journalist, Kyle Macpherson, produced the final part of a three-part series showing the stages of unrest-to-recovery at the North and East Streets intersection, just outside the Gleaner building. He documented the activity in downtown Kingston, following last week's civil unrest in sections of the corporate area.
Fighting erupted in Kingston, the capital city of the island nation, Jamaica. Police forces have clashed with armed gunmen loyal to the local businessman, Christopher "Dudus" Coke. Coke is wanted in the United States for serious drug related charges. Supporters of Coke see him as a benefactor and have vowed to protect him at any cost. The Jamaican government has until this point opposed to the US demand for Coke's extradition. Prime Minister Bruce Golding issued the order to arrest Coke despite a previous streak of denying it. I have accquired exclusive surveillance footage of the armed conflict which as left over forty dead so far in the city of Kingston. Here is the surveillance footage of Coke and his supporters questioning the politician's true motives for supporting the extradition before busting a cap on his ass. The police are currently looking for the women that appeared in this video as they believe she may hold important information as a witness. Anyone with information on her is to contact the Jamaican police.
