www.fuzzyyellowballs.com The 2009 US Open Final was an incredibly exciting match that went the distance. It's the first US Open Final to go 5 sets since Andre Agassi beat Todd Martin in 1999's final. This match pitted Juan Martin Del Potro against 5-time defending champion Roger Federer. Del Potro started extremely slowly but found his range in the middle of the second set. Once Del Potro got rolling, his powerful groundstrokes and mental toughness got him past Federer. This US Open Final was interesting for a number of reasons, which are explained in the video. Expect Del Potro to win at least several more majors over the course of his career. Great talent.

(HD, Widescreen 16:9) NEW YORK (Ecuasoft) US Open Men's Final 2009: Juan Martin Del Potro shocks Federer Since 2004 Roger Federer has been the only tennis player to win the final Grand Slam tournament of the season. The way he was playing this year entering the championship match it looked like he was rolling to his sixth title. Federer had capped his run in this years' tourney yesterday with a straight sets dismantling of #4 Novak Djokovic which included a ridiculous between the legs shot for a winner. So a pre-game prediction of him rolling through #6 Del Potro for his sixth straight US Open title seemed like the logical pick.
