I have become a Pontiac nut over the past several months, and gradually I became more and more knowledgeable about Bonnevilles and Grand Villes. I WILL buy one of these someday, when I can also afford to buy a Chevy Suburban and an old Mercedes S-class to restore. The Grand Ville was more a continuation of the Bonneville than anything else, and in fact they were both available in Pontiac dealers from 71-76. Since Pontiac is gone forever, just like the Oldsmobile division of GM, these cars will most certainly gain even more value over time. Most people would regard the Grand Ville as nothing more than an overweight, oversized, and emissions strangled "boat." I like to use the term "land yacht"! I really see them as one of Pontiac finest products, especially in convertible form. I should note that Pontiac made a full size wagon variant which they called the Grand Safari. These cars almost always came equipped with the 455 4bbl big block, although some came with the 400 BB also. The only transmission was the bulletproof Turbo Hydramatic 3-speed. This made for a torquey,quiet, comfortable luxury cruiser, with overboosted power steering and the typical vague, isolated driving experience people associate with a car of this size from the 70s. Comfort and smooth ride was what it was all about though. The styling is what really grabbed me, and of course the 455 engine (such a heavenly sound). My Review of this wonderful device on my 2001 BMW 330i with an upgraded 02/2006 Alpine CD53 Head Unit. Everything is either aluminum metal for the body or high grade tough rubber for the cables. -Playlist Features; The USA-Spec will fall short in this department for two types of people. The first are those folks who tend to carry tons of Playlists in their iPods and second are those that don't use Playlists at all and organize song playback by artist or album. The USA-Spec reads from BMW1 thru BMW5 Playlist that the user creates beforehand or the USA-Spec will read the first 5 playlist stored on the iPod. It is a Playlist dependent device. Pirates are doing the same thing all over the country just on a smaller scale but it is getting more and more blatent everyday. Notice something similiar about these folks? Here is my theory of what was taking place in Tenaha, Texas. There was a third party involved besides the cop and the DA and that is the car seller. 1. The car seller would place ads online to sell cars way under book value. The buyers would be thrilled to purchase the car since they were getting a great deal. 2. The cars were all under 10000. They only took cash and only from people NOT from around their neck of the woods. The farher they lived from the scene the less chance they would fight it. 3. The sellers job would be to gain info from the buyer...like what type of car they would be driving and what exact time they would be arriving in the city with all that cash to purchase a car. 4. He then would relay that to the cop so the cop. This is how the cop knew how to identify the buyer when he arrived in town......pulled over, threatened and bam easy as pie. Theft is theft even by government. Whether by a scam photo radar ticket or some bogus HOV lane violation. There are a few at the top who are treating police departments like a for-profit business and because of this cops are losing ALL crediability with the people. This incident was happened in New Delhi, The capital of India which is said to be the most secure city of India. I shot this video by my LG Viewty phone while I was driving through 'Barafkhana', in Civil Lines area of New Delhi. You will notice that there is no 'Policewala' to take care of him because they are busy elsewhere taking money from the two wheeler drivers without helmets. Had my R33 for nearly a year. Everything was learnt from level zero. Recently I have decided to put adjustable suspensions in and learnt a few things I thought I would share with some 'rookies' like myself who hasn't done this before. I found infomation on ajustable suspensions online isn't as easy to find as I thought. Especially the 'how-to' info. A few months ago I decide to get my adjustable suspensions. So I did my research for different brands etc, and took a long time to find them because I am on a budget so I was looking for affordable used ones. After I found it then I was excited and realy to have them in my car. Then I was asked if I plan to change mags...??? because if I change mags the height will change and each time we adjust the height there is a chance I might have to do another wheel alignment. And I wasn't planning to spend an extra $50-60 for wheel alignment so I kept my suspensions in the house for a few months while I took more time to find the mags which is also fits my budget. Weeks and weeks went by I found the mags. I have both the mags and suspensions put on my car at my desired height. Then we found the 9" wide rear wheels were rubbing against the rear guards. So I had to get the guards rolled up so save my tyres. In summary I had learnt the procedures in this little project: 1. Search for the mags first. Hi peoples! We made this film to showcase our CG abilities. We wanted to make the best showcase one can imagine for a new car. We chose the Porsche since we...just..like Porsches! We storyboarded, previzzed, animated and rendered it all in house. Production took 4 weeks, rendering on a 8 core MacPro took 4 months non stop. All frames rendered at a minimum of 1 frame an hour, some took 24 hours per frame (the door opening took that long because of the blurry reflections). Everything was rendered in 1920x817 in Cinema4D. No Radiosity was used, only some area lights and a nice environment based on an EMC room. Part 2 of this film is currently in production and is going to look even awesomer than this one :D ! We plan on doing some sort of trilogy based around the awesomeness of the car. His creativity ranges from the planning of neon works to the elaboration of sports car, but with his musical experimantations Moroder will reach the world-wide renown. Precursor in the use of synthesizers Giorgio tenaciously undertook in the seventies to explore new rhythms and sounds, research that will culminate with the creation of the Donna Summer phenomenon. In 1984 Moroder worked on the restoration of Metropolis, a famous silent film released in 1927. The new version of Metropolis was coloured, worked out again with 24 pictures in a second and above all was enriched with a modern rock soundtrack. The innovations produced an harsh dibate that bore in the same measure adverse and favourable criticism. These are just some clips of my system performing at about 85%, except for the last clip. The camera/microphone puts up with the volume very well but it's not perfect, and can't decipher very low bass (below 45hz). In the last clip, there seems to be large amounts of distortion or points where the sound is cutting out a little due to over whelming volume, but this is actually the nature of the track itself.
