This is a most popular dessert amongst friends and family. It's only six ingredients and Philadelphia Cream Cheese is what makes it such a hit! This is a simple and elegant dessert that is truly sinful. Prep time: 10 minutes / Cook time: 30 minutes / Chill time: 20 minutes Total time: 60 minutes. Serves: 8-10 4 large eggs 1 cup sugar 1 can of evaporated milk 1 can condensed milk 1 tablespoon vanilla extract or grated vanilla bean 1 8-oz. package Philadelphia cream cheese You may use a loaf pan or any mold you choose. I like to use a loaf pan. Pre-heat oven at 350-Put the 1 cup of sugar in a sauce pan on medium heat and let it caramelize. In a bowl, crack the four eggs and beat. Add the milks, vanilla extract and cream cheese to the beaten eggs. Mix all your ingredients well. You may grate vanilla bean only if you have (not necessary). Go back and check your caramel and see if the sugar liquefies and is amber color. When your caramel sauce is ready, pour over entire mold. Be careful not to touch hot caramel, it will burn! Now that your mold is caramelized, pour custard mixture inside your mold and have a roasting pan filled half way with water. Next, put your mold inside the roasting pan and bake Au Bain Marie(method). Bake at 350 for 30 minutes and remove from oven. Cool in refrigerator for 15-20 Minutes. When serving, invert your mold unto a dish and you'll see the caramel over the flan. May be decorated with fresh berries or edible flowers if you so desire.
