Giorgio Iurcotta is a true Venetian Mask artisan and has been a part of a centuries-old tradition that is as colorful and complicated as Venice itself. He relocated to Florida from Venice Italy in 2001 to represent the company his mother owns- Balocoloc Artisans of Venice and can be found quietly painting beautiful and mysterious paper mache masks inside a small shop within the Italy Pavilion. Hey Guys!!! This is my first attempt to do a Venetian Mask, hope you like it. It didn´t tourn out like I wanted, but It was my first time, so I think it was Ok. Will do better next time.

I had wanted to make a venetian style mask for a while and always loved the Bauta style mask. Casanova wore a similar mask. I began this project by simply looking at pictures on the internet. The plaster bandages and celluclay was purchased at a local hobby store for $11.00. The paint cost about $50.00 including primer, glitter spray, metallic paint, sealer, etc. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, I'll try to answer best I can.
