One of my favourite scenes from this lovely by William Wyler. Isn't Audrey Hepburn the most beautiful thing you've ever seen? I adore her. She has this absolutely astonishing beauty and yet she's a very espontaneous, natural, sweet girl, I can always relate to her characters (and I usually don't relate to such beautiful women, you know...). She's my favourite actress. And Gregory Peck is my favourite actor. The kindness in his eyes, the character in his eyebrows, the sensuality in his mouth... I love him. This is the moment after the party, when some agents from the Royal Family tried to take Anya (Audrey) with them, so Bradley (Gregory) started a fight with them. Really funny scene. And they jump to the water and swim to a lonely spot, where the inevitable happens: he kisses her. How could he not kiss her? She's so absolutely kissable, lovable and adorable! One of the reasons why I love movies and why I think everyone should love them.

Scene from the film. The story is set in 1964, what was then the near future (1963 in the book) in the months following World War III. The conflict has devastated the northern hemisphere, polluting the atmosphere with nuclear fallout and killing all life. While the nuclear bombs were confined to the northern hemisphere, global air currents are slowly carrying the fallout to the southern hemisphere. The only part of the planet still habitable is the far south of the globe, specifically Australia and New Zealand, South Africa, and the southern parts of South America. From Australia, survivors detect a mysterious and incomprehensible Morse code radio signal originating from the United States. With hope that some life has remained in the contaminated regions, one of the last American nuclear submarines, the USS Sawfish, placed by its captain under Australian naval command, is ordered to sail north from its port of refuge in Melbourne (Australia's southernmost major mainland city) to try to contact whoever is sending the signal. The American captain, Dwight Towers (Peck), leads the operation, leaving behind a woman of recent acquaintance, the alcoholic Moira Davidson (Gardner), to whom he has become attached, despite his feelings of guilt regarding the certain deaths of his wife and children in the U.S. He refuses to admit that they are dead and continues to behave as though they are still alive, buying them gifts and writing them letters...(Wikipedia)

"Gregory Peck is the hottest thing in town. Some say he is the second Gary Cooper. Actually, he is the first Gregory Peck." - Gregory Peck I never do tributes with pictures, because i find clips more interesting to edit with. But i had so much great pictures of this man, i had to share them with you guys. This man being Gregory Peck, the most handsome man ever to hit the silver screen, the epitome and definition of "Tall, dark, and handsome". He's the perfect man, and proves that there is no justice in this world by staying with the same woman from 1955 to his death. She could have shared. Gregory Peck died in 2004 at the age of 87 years old. People remember him as Atticus Finch, but he was making movies long before that - and looking smokin' hot in them, too. These pictures are my favorites. Song sung by the incredible Dinah Washington. I do not own any of this material, it is purely fan-made.

I have got the right information for this tune now thanks to the people who commented. Cheers. This is probably my favourite song from Barrington, not only a legend on the reggae and dancehall scene, but as all junglists know, a legend in the Jungle scene too. Thanks to Nloyalist for providing the right information for this.

The AFI DALLAS International Film Festival, Presented by Target, Founding Sponsor Victory Park, a new and exciting annual international film festival was held March 22 through April 1, 2007. The comprehensive programming highlighted contemporary international features, documentaries and short films, and included red-carpet galas, educational panels, masterclasses and conversations with some 75 filmmakers. In its inaugural year, AFI DALLAS became one of the largest film festivals in the Southwest—presenting 193 films from 25 countries viewed by over 30,000 attendees. With Victory Park as its epicenter, other venues included the historic Majestic Theatre, Landmark's Magnolia and Inwood Theatres, Angelika Film Center, AMC NorthPark 15 and the Victory Media Network, as well as the Dallas Museum of Art, the Crow Collection of Asian Art, the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, the Booker T. Washington Arts Magnet High School, SMU's Meadows School of the Arts, TCU, the W Dallas Victory and Neiman Marcus. The AFI DALLAS Star Award was presented to screen legend Lauren Bacall; to Academy Award winners Sydney Pollack, Marvin Hamlisch, Marilyn and Alan Bergman; to David Lynch (Inland Empire) and Sarah Polley (Away From Her) who screened their latest films; and to Veronique Peck to honor the memory of her husband Gregory. Throughout the Festival, Dallas was full of small dinners, big receptions and even bigger parties presented by AFI DALLAS, the local film community and producers. The Festival's Target Filmmaker Lounge was full of both professionals and aficionados talking about the movies. Other filmmakers in attendance included Morgan Freeman, Bill Paxton, Todd Wagner, Brad Silberling, Jane Seymour, Joe Pantoliano, Ron Livingston, Melissa George, Nick Stahl, Ricki Lake, Janine Turner, Frances Fisher, Robert Loggia, Lou Diamond Phillips and Jason Mewes. We are deep into planning for AFI DALLAS 2008. It's even more ambitious: delivering 225 to 250 screenings, an expanded presence at Victory Park and more educational programs. We are currently pursuing major filmmakers and Hollywood luminaries to attend this year's Festival. In addition to actors, directors and composers, we will be featuring other cinematic artists like screenwriters, cinematographers, art directors, costume designers, composers, and film editors—truly celebrating the art of film. The 2008 AFI DALLAS International Film Festival Presented by Target, Founding Sponsor Victory Park, will be presented March 27 through April 6. Visit AFIDALLAS.com for information and updates.
