This video was filmed when my family traveled to Washington DC for the National Equality March. The ceremony you are about to see is the Wreath laying at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. I want to thank Lt. Dan Choi for his courage in coming out and taking a stand against discrimination in the US Army and for putting your butt on the line for all those soldiers who have and who currently serve our country. Id also like to salute all the soldiers who have died in our nations history for the gift you have given every single American. Some day I hope this country lives up to that sacrifice. Sorry for the shaky video I was holding Selena while fiming. On Saturday November 7, 2009 Reason.tv's Dan Hayes caught up with the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight from Wisconsin. Honor Flight is an organization that provides World War II vets and terminally ill patients from other conflicts free travel to Washington, DC to tour memorials. Hayes talks with veterans who recognize that this is not only their first visit to the World War II monument, but may well be their last trip away from home. "Every day is a bonus," is the motto of Honor Flight and it's a sentiment that rings true for the men who fought and those of us who continue to benefit from their service and sacrifice. For more information about Honor Flight: www.starsandstripeshonorflight.org Thanks to Joe Dean, Jane Dean, Mark Grams, Liane Baranek, The Gebauers, Cindy and Dave Haupt, Nancy and Steve Hayes, and all the guardians and the vets we spoke with Saturday. His remarks recognized the service of Alaskas military men and women, and Alaskas veterans noting that Alaska carries the proud distinction of being home to 70000 veterans. Sen. Begich also recognized Alaskas heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving their country since Sept. 11, 2001.

Remember our Veterans, and those who continue to serve our country every day. This is the true meaning of Veteran's Day. Any comments against this video will be deleted, I don't want to hear how much bad our Men and Women at Arms are doing, in reality they're doing a fantastic job and deserve our support. They're the ones who have sacrificed again and again for us. For all you sick bastards that continually insult the United States Military and our veterans, I dare you, just dare you, to join up and take a tour. Stop criticizing our government and soldiers because they had the balls to do what you wouldn't.

Americans across the country are honoring past and present veterans who have fought and died or are currently fighting for our country. This Veterans Day marks 90 years since the end of World War I in 1918. In Las Vegas, thousands gathered downtown to mark the occasion with the largest Veterans Day parade in the nation. This year, the parade honored 50 soldiers from the Wounded Warrior Project. The group raises money to help wounded vets get the things they need to live normal lives after war. "I can remember when I came back in the 60's, things were a lot different with view of the military. But nowadays, it's more support. Thank God it has turned around because we can't send them out to fight our wars and not support them," said James Parsons. At Tuesday's parade, Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman handed out proclamations naming the 52 wounded warriors marching in the parade hero's on behalf of the city. There were a lot of different faces in the audience -- those who served, those who were injured and those who were there just to show their support. There were smiles and there were tears at this year's parade as hundreds of veterans proudly walked down 4th Street Tuesday morning. For many veterans, this much support is something they're not used to, but are welcoming with open arms. They all have different stories, all come from different backgrounds, but no matter which group they were tied to at the veteran's parade, their goal of protecting our country has always been ...
The video is dedicated to those who are with us today and those who have passed. Families United dedicates it to all the troops and their families currently serving, who have served, and those who still show the wounds of war. We dedicate this video to all of our Heroes, Americas veterans who truly know what it means to sacrifice. To all those who have worn this nations uniform we say a humble "Thank You."
Happy Veterans Day for all those that have served and are serving today in the United States military. Thank you all for your service to our great country. It is those who wear the uniform of our countrys military that are the true heroes of our country. They are the ones who keep us safe and free. Without them there is no freedom. There are many from Hollywood that gave their time by entertaining and showed there love for our brave troops. The Andrews Sisters mostly remembered for their music, rich in sweetness and optimism, were loved by the many troops they tirelessly entertained during World War II. Bob Hope's unwavering commitment to the morale of America's servicemen and women is entertainment history, indeed, world history. Many say 'legend.' For nearly six decades, be the country at war or at peace, Bob, with a band of Hollywood gypsies, traveled the globe to entertain our service men and women. The media dubbed him "America's No. 1 Soldier in Greasepaint." To the GIs, he was "GI Bob" and their clown hero.
The collage/montage was produced by sceneologist Ruben Avila, commissioned by Pastor Israel Soto to commemorate the sacrifice made by our brave Men and Women and celebrate Veteran's Day. The artist utilized video clips and music that were assembled in order to communicate the message of accepting the call to risk it all for Freedom. Avila states; "I wanted to make the viewer recall the dark side of war and the real peril experienced by its participants. The decision to focus the footage on the Korean War was because it tends to be the forgotten war, yet in retrospect proved to be the start of the war we still fight for today on the battlefield of idealism." The decision to use the music of STRYPER further iconizes the imagery in a sense that war and conflict are both ancient and modern manifestation of man. Excerpts from President Ronald Reagan's famous speech "These are the boys of Point du Hoc" further add to the sentiment of what it is to be a soldier. The speech is used because of the universality and themology that all soldiers cleave first onto the belief in God, and then their weapons while on the battlefiled. The key rhetorical phrase of the speech, "Yet you risked everything here, why, why did you do it?" Semper Fi.

Tribute to all who have served or will serve our country. THANK YOU!!
For this Memorial Day, I want to share with everyone this awesome video I found in the public domain. It does a fantastic job of illustrating the debt of gratitude that we owe to those who have worn our Country's uniform in the past, and to those who wear it today. I wish I could claim credit for this video, but I did not make it. However, it is my pleasure to post it here, in tribute to those who are willing to give our Country the last full measure of their devotion...ENJOY AND SUBSCRIBE!! };-) ----------------------------

After 23 years as a Marine and three tours in Iraq, a local man is home and his wife surprised him with a retirement gift he's always wanted. Gunnery Sgt. John Forge has always dreamed of owning a Honda Goldwing motorcycle, so for Veterans Day his wife surprised him with one, WESH 2 News reported. His wife, Christine Forge, took him to Seminole Powersports where she said they were going to shop for a bike, but he had no idea she had already bought one. She told him to wear his uniform to get a military discount, so he was surprised when Christine gave him keys to a brand new Goldwing, specially painted just for him.
