Victoria Tennant (born 30 September, 1950) is an English-born, American film and television actress.
Tennant was born in London, England to her mother, Irina Baronova, a white Russian prima ballerina who appeared with the Ballet Russes de Monte Carlo; and her father, Cecil Tennant, who was an English producer and talent agent who ran MCA 's talent office and whose clients included Laurence Olivier, Vivien Leigh, John Gielgud and Michael Redgrave. Her maternal grandfather, Misha Baronov, was a senior officer in the Russian navy, and her maternal grandmother, Lydia Vishniakov, was a general's daughter and came from a middle class family from St Petersburg. Laurence Olivier was Tennant's Godfather. She attended the Central School of Speech and Drama at the University of London.
Tennant was formerly married to American actor and comedian Steve Martin, and starred opposite him in All of Me and LA Story. She eventually left him for Australian actor Andrew Clarke.

L.A. Story is a 1991 English language movie directed by Mick Jackson and written by Steve Martin. Set in Los Angeles, California, it tells the story of Harris K. Telemacher, an L.A. weatherman (played by Martin) who falls in and out of love with the aid of a talking freeway sign which arguably speaks for the city itself. The movie is both a romantic comedy and a satire on life and culture in Los Angeles.
