Ein weiterer Soundtrack von Battlefield Bad Company 2 Vietnam. Der Song wurde unter dem Namen "For What It's Worth" von "Buffalo Springfield" gesungen. Erscheinungsdatum von BfBC2 Vietnam voraussichtlich Winter 2010. Lyrics: There's something happening here What it is ain't exactly clear There's a man with a gun over there Telling me I got to beware I think it's time we stop, children, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down There's battle lines being drawn Nobody's right if everybody's wrong Young people speaking their minds Getting so much resistance from behind I think it's time we stop, hey, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down What a field-day for the heat A thousand people in the street Singing songs and carrying signs Mostly say, hooray for our side It's time we stop, hey, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down Paranoia strikes deep Into your life it will creep It starts when you're always afraid You step out of line, the man come and take you away We better stop, hey, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down Stop, hey, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down Stop, now, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down Stop, children, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down
Music video by Alicia Lemke performing "I'm Here To Stay." (C) 2009 Magic Pinecone Productions, LLC. Production by Spotstudios Lyrics and music by Alicia Lemke I wrote this song when one of my best friends was in Vietnam for a year-long Fulbright scholarship. She was feeling very alone and homesick, and although I would eventually fly to Vietnam to spend 2 weeks with her, that wouldn't be for another three months. So I wrote her an email saying I would be there soon, and, "I love you up to the atmosphere." Later that day I was inspired by the line when I picked up a ukulele, and wrote "I'm Here To Stay." Because lets face it, any song written in ukulele is going to make someone feel happy. This song has become an ode to all of my friends that are far away-- even though I don't see you often, I am here to stay!

The award-winning photojournalist looks back over his 50 year career on the front line. Witness to armed conflict and atrocity on battlefields around the world, these devastating experiences changed his motivation. The conflicting emotions still haunt him. *Please read this*! When I joined the USMC Aviation field in 1967, I had to learn to be a Marine Rifleman first. Here, I show you some 40 year old images (1969-1970) from Vietnam and Japan, including Hiroshima and Japan's Expo '70 World's Fair. We rode motorcycles to it while stationed there in 1969-1970. The music is from the 3 piece band we formed in the sandbag bunkers of Vietnam. We wound up playing live at the "Slipway Club" the night before we left Japan to go home to the USA. I present some of it here that I recorded on my Akai reel to reel. The reel to reel you see in this video's introduction is a Teac that I have now. The tape has degraded some and it was recorded live in a hollow building, but at least you can get an idea of what a bunch of Marines sound like after being though what we had just endured. I don't profess to be a great guitarist, as I have seen some amazing guitar videos of yours. But, we were just a few guys having fun being happy to still be alive. The video shows you how it was 40 years ago before computers, cell phones, Ipods, Digital Cameras, DVDs, CDs, etc. Not even had Atari been invented yet! I always hoped that we did not do that "war" for nothing! If nothing else, learn from it and let's not do that again! Rest easy and Semper Fi to all the military folks who were and still are, willing to put it all on the line so we can live our lives as we are used to.. Best regards, Dave Herbert USMC Ret.
David Soul achieved pop icon status as handsome, blond-haired, blue-eyed Detective Kenneth Hutchinson on the cult "buddy cop" TV series "Starsky and Hutch" (1975), Soul also had a very successful singing career recording several albums, with worldwide number one hit singles including "Silver Lady" & "Don't Give Up on Us Baby". Born in Chicago, Illinois, David Soul is the son of a minister who was at one time serving as the religious affairs advisor to the US High Commission in Berlin. At 24 years of age, young Soul joined a North Dakota musical revue, was noticed by a keen-eyed talent scout, and signed to a studio contract. He went on to study acting with the Irene Daly School of The Actors Company, and with the Columbia Workshop in Hollywood. He first appeared on TV in small roles in shows including "I Dream of Jeannie" (1965), "Flipper" (1964) and "All in the Family" (1971). Regular TV work kept coming in for Soul including making masked appearances on "The Merv Griffin Show" (1962), as the popular singer known only as "The Covered Man." In 1973, Soul was fortunate enough to be cast as one of the corrupt motorcycle cops in the Clint Eastwood thriller Magnum Force (1973), where his talents came to the attention of several TV execs who were looking for someone to play one of the lead roles in the upcoming "Starsky and Hutch" (1975) TV series. After four seasons, the show came to an end, yet Soul's talents were still in demand. He quickly went on to appear as the meek ...
Yes I know there are other Vietnam videos already, just so you know. I would've done a full Vietnamese one except that my pronounciation isn't so good anymore. Also, about that last line, I'm Vietnamese and in my experience, there's never a Viet party without karaoke! I'm serious! (I apologize for the iffy quality of the audio. I don't know what to do about it.) Should I try to go for a full version? Yes/no/maybe? My lyrics: Ơi ới ba, ko-hi choudai Ơi ới mẹ! Ơi ới mẹ! Mukashi ni tabeta phở no ano aji ga wasurerarenainda! I can never forget the taste of the phở that I ate before! Draw a circle there's the Earth! (x3) I am Vietnam! Ah, a fabulous world that can be seen with a paintbrush~ There is always karaoke at my party!
In Part 6, he explains that "TechnoWar" is just a way to try to make war like a production line. We applied it to Vietnam in a "limited war" to avoid confronting Soviet Communism by bringing our war production machine there to out-produce the enemy's body counts. We tried to win over the South Vietnamese by hooking them on consumer goods but ended up making more corruption. American aide was being siphoned to high-level government officials. Corruption became compounded and the peasants resented it. Currency fraud from dollars to piasters and back again made criminals rich. Massive inflation and a lack of jobs fed poverty and those who sold things and themselves on the black market. A huge heroin drug smuggling operation by the CIA used the war as a cover. Others went through the garbage dumps in the new urban South Vietnamese areas. The air war against North Vietnam was another "factory". We looked at their lack of industry and thought they should have given up. We ignored the ability of the earth itself to absorb bombardment. 80% of the VC supplies came from the south's villagers. The 20% coming in from the North couldn't be stopped without a border fenced/walled in. Our bombing of the North hardened support around Ho Chi Minh's government. We dropped 8x as many bombs in Vietnam than we did in WW2! Every structure above 1-story was "bombed back to the stone age". Air sorties became the "body count" for the numbers mentality. James William Gibson author of: The Perfect ...
