The Vikings passing game was terrible, play calling was terrible, Adrian Peterson was benched just as he was getting warmed up, halftime adjustments were non-existent, but the defense was okay and Visanthe Shiancoe had a couple great catches. The Saints deserved to win and didn't resort to deliberately and viciously trying to injure Brett Favre (unlike a previous meeting).
Kick off to the 2010-2011 season is underway and the Vikings got a chance to redeem themselves in New Orleans yesterday. Well, the final score wasn't in Minnesota's favor but the fact that it wasn't a blowout and Favre is still in one piece is a victory in itself. Go old balls, go!

Madden 11 Franchise Week 1 - Minnesota Vikings vs. New Orleans Saints (Versuz Slider Set) This is a Madden 11 Franchise simulation game played using Coach mode. It is also ran under Versuz2's slider set which makes the game more realistic as to how the players react to one another. The rosters are auto-reordered according to EA's starting player ratings from the original game release date. I do not have the time and perseverance to keep these rosters up to date as I go to school and work 2 jobs. It is up to EA to keep these rosters and depth charts updated accordingly however through the franchise system they do not get updated through EA's patching system. So I am sorry to say that these simulations are going to be slightly inaccurate, but they give you an idea of what might happen, and they are just something fun to watch in the meantime. Thanks for your time and i hope to see you subscribing for more! I am using the Versuz slider set throughout the entire game with 5 minute quarters and 20 seconds accelerated clock. If 5 turnovers, an inexplicable "12 Men In The Huddle" penalty AFTER a timeout, and the worst overtime in professional sports (sudden-death based on a coin flip) wasn't enough to make you sick; Apparently the refs just couldn't bear to let the Saints fans down. They failed to call the "Tom Brady Rule" which would have negated an interception and they failed to overturn THREE bad calls in overtime, all of which would have lead to a change of possession. On top of that, they called a phantom pass interference which would have led to another change in possession but instead put the Saints in field goal position. 5 bad calls that would have changed the game and they all went the Saints direction DESPITE booth review. Seems a little inconsistent since Reggie Bush's TD had enough "indisputable" evidence to overturn the call. Saints fans should feel blessed, but I feel sick. Roger Goodell, pony up and get these refs the same technology that the average fan has, a high-definition, big-screen TV.. AND CHANGE THE BLOODY OVERTIME RULE TO FIRST TO 6 POINTS.
