"Character No. 2" by Casey Cangelosi from "Two Characters for solo marimba" Performed by Vince Collotti at his senior recital December 6th, 2009 "Two Characters for solo marimba" was the 2008 winner of the Classical Marimba League International Composition Competition in the Tonal 21st Century category. Regarding the piece the composer said, Theyre character pieces in the classical sense similar to Albeniz 2 Character Pieces for solo piano. Theyre just meant to evoke notions of personalities - no particular story or event, just a character.

Okay, so this was because I was being asked to do some costume design and I figured I'd try something with some character design thrown in too. I guess this could also work for helping people who are having trouble coming up with ideas.. Basically start by creating a silhouette of a figure, and see if it works ( if it's balanced or whatever ) then build a character out of that. Umm... Here's a video I made as a tribute to Vincent Valentine, my favorite character from Final Fantasy VII. All of the footage is from Dirge of Cerberus. I also made this video as a test to see how two different pieces of music work well when they are combined together. So I used the first minute of the theme for Metal Gear Solid 3 and combined it with "DMC" from Rungran, which is the opening theme for Devil May Cry: The Animated Series. I felt this video works like a storm. It's very calming at first, but then chaos erupts. Plus, the song from Rungran was less than two minutes long. So I did some editing to make the song four minutes longer. You'll notice when you hear quick pauses in the song. I'll do another video for Vincent later and I'll also do one focusing on the Tsviets Unit as well.
