Wyrd - Cold, Son Of The Wind Vargtimmen Pt. 2: Omnious Insomnia (2004) Pagan Black Metal from Finland. Narqath (Tomi Kalliola) - Vocals, all non-percussion instruments Wircki - Guitar, Keyboards JL Nokturnal - Drums Niflungr - Bass How chill is morning, how cold its melody. On a season of withering, when time stands still I listened and the wind spoke to me, I heard the woods sing to me. Reciting poems and myths, from earliest of ages Shadow of a crooked rowan tree, looks more like a bear in sleep Season fades along with its leaves, until one plough day earth covers earth Cold, son of the wind, freeze the winter willows Chill the birch chunks, Cold, son of the wind I listened and the rain whispered to me, I heard the streams murmur my name. Shared their timeless wisdom, a cruel tale of nature unveiled Until one plough day earth covers earth.

It takes me about 3 hours to get my camera pointed in the right direction, sorry about that. I linked my veggie tales video to a friend on facebook the other day, and a few people I know in real life have told me they saw it, so if you're still watching, hello! Words by Grian macgregor Tune by Jay Ungar The sun is sinking low in the sky above Ashokan. The pines and the willows know soon we will part. There's a whisper in the wind of promises unspoken, And a love that will always remain in my heart. My thoughts will return to the sound of your laughter, The magic of moving as one, And a time we'll remember long ever after The moonlight and music and dancing are done. Will we climb the hills once more? Will we walk the woods together? Will I feel you holding me close once again? Will every song we've sung stay with us forever? Will you dance in my dreams or my arms until then? Under the moon the mountains lie sleeping Over the lake the stars shine. They wonder if you and I will be keeping The magic and music, or leave them behind. And here's a link to an awesome version by Doc and the Lady: www.youtube.com
In the shade of willows and elms A cold wind blows and carries my tale A tale of rebirth, a season's change And spring will shine again An early flower fragile and shy A ray of sun celebrates it's bloom The gentle colors of winter's end This poetry lights my heart For a thousand years to come Will the flight of dragons fill the clouds And the shine of spring will lighten again On the king and on his land The leaves are dancing under the wind The songs of birds are filling my head A taste of heaven, a magic play The return of better days The last trace of snow melts away (the last trace of snow will melt away) The dance of seasons is following it's course The circle of life closes again And spring prepares it's reign For a thousand years to come Will the flight of dragons fill the clouds And the shine of spring will lighten again On the king and on his land For a thousand years to come Will the flight of dragons fill the clouds And the shine of spring will lighten again On the king and on his land In this silence, the storm as gone away forever now Deep in my heart, a shining spring will bloom here and explode.
For the benefit of my students at Lourdes College who are taking "The World in 1908", I decided to clip together images of some of the more well known books of that year. The music - "Shine On, Harvest Moon" - was also a big hit that year. Photo/image credits... This is a music video I made set to one of the greatest and most endearing childrens stories ever written... The Wind In The Willows. For anybody who knows of the 'Tales of the Willows' series you will know that William Horwood carried on where Kenneth Grahame left off, and although this video uses screncaps only from the Carlton animated version of 'The Wind in the Willows' it is actually about the events of Horwood's first sequal 'The Willows in Winter'... also superbly reproduced by Carlton animations, (although alas, unfortuantly I do not yet own this enchanting masterpiece on DVD!) **I DO NOT WANT TO SPOIL 'THE WILLOWS IN WINTER' FOR ANYONE WHO HAS NOT YET READ IT, SO IF YOU DO NOT WANTTO BE SPOILT PLEASE DO NOT READ THIS!** Mole has gone missing, swallowed up by the river on a cold and tretcherous winters evening, and all fear that he is dead! The Rat is obviously devistated by his friends susposed death and remembers the good times that they shared... little knowing that the Mole is even now on his way back to him (shown in black and white). It mainly focuses on the Rat's emotions and how he misses his friend, but I felt it necessary to include something of the Mole, just to prove that he is still out there somewhere! I hope you will be glad to see that the video has a happy ending, with the Mole making it back to his River Bank friends once more... just as in Horwoods wonderful story. Thank You.
