Wilma O'Neill said she was stunned to find out that a Walgreens in Ceres gave her 5-year-old daughter Ellen the wrong medication after being diagnosed with swine flu. "The bottle says Tamiflu, it's supposed to say Tamiflu," Wilma said. "Lo and behold, it's heart medicine." Wilma received a phone call from Walgreens urging her to return the medicine to the pharmacy, but not before giving young Ellen the medication twice. "I was so scared, probably never been so scared in my life," Wilma said. She rushed home and called 911. Ellen was taken to hospital, where a test that checks for problems with electrical activities in the heart came back with abnormal results. Ellen was running around Tuesday for the first time since she became sick, but she will have to visit a specialist Wednesday to find out whether she will suffer any long term side effects from the mistake. "They won't tell me how they made the mistake or about how they found out about the mistake," Wilma said. vac's Comments: To be honest not sure which is worse, as Tamiflu can have nasty side effects as well for those under 12, mainstream news.
