Walter Elias Disney (December 5 1901 – December 15 1966) was an American film producer, director, screenwriter, voice actor, animator, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. Disney is notable as one of the most influential and innovative figures in the field of entertainment during the twentieth century. As the co-founder (with his brother Roy O. Fun and Fancy Free (first released on September 27, 1947) is a feature film produced by Walt Disney and released by RKO Radio Pictures. It was one of the "package films" (feature-length compilations of shorter segments) that the studio produced in the 1940s. It is the ninth animated feature in the Disney animated features canon. As with the two segments in The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, the featurettes were originally planned to be made as full-length features, but because of the studio's circumstances at the time, they ended up becoming a part of the package films instead.

Jiminy Cricket of Pinocchio first appears inside a large house, exploring it and singing "I'm a Happy-Go-Lucky Fellow" (originally written for the 1940 classic), until he happens upon a record player and some records, and sets it up to play the story of "Bongo", as told by Dinah Shore.

Saludos Amigos ("AlĂ´, Amigos" in Portuguese) is a 1942 animated film produced by Walt Disney and released by RKO Radio Pictures.
Set in Latin America, it is made up of four different segments; Donald Duck stars in two of them and Goofy stars in one. It also features the first appearance of José Carioca. Saludos Amigos was popular enough for a sequel, The Three Caballeros, to be produced two years later. The film premiered in Rio de Janeiro on August 24, 1942. It was released in the United States on February 6, 1943. It garnered mixed reviews and was only reissued once, in 1949, when it was shown on a double bill with the first reissue of Dumbo.

South Of The Border With Disney is a 1942 Disney 30 minutes short Documentary. It was shot in the same occasion Saludos Amigos was, when Walt Disney and a group of eighteen artists, musicians and writers went to South America looking for inspirations for a movie. While Saludos Amigos is the result of this voyage, alternating animated shorts to the sequences from the travel that inspired them, South Of The Border with Disney is more of a behind-the-scenes documentary showing only the travel and the genesis of cartoons not only for Saludos Amigos but also some others used in later occasions. The most notable example is a female Armadillo used for a 1943 Pluto cartoon, Pluto and the Armadillo.

The third film in the Disney animated features canon, it is an experiment in animation and music. The soundtrack of the film consists of eight pieces of classical music recorded under the direction of Leopold Stokowski; seven of these pieces were performed by the Philadelphia Orchestra. Animated artwork of varying degrees of abstraction or literalism is used to illustrate or accompany the concert in various ways.
