Waze is a pretty rad tool for makin' roads and drivin' em. You can make roundabouts on it too!
So what's faster and/or easier, making intersections manually, or using the 'map problems' feature of the editor to fix the problems for you to make the intersection?
Here's some more Waze editing. This time I'll show you how to connect looped road A to straight road B, and another intersection connection example. PS - I'm Shorty-CM over on the Waze forums, by the way.
Here's a little help for map editing in Waze concerning intersections. Hopefully this helps someone get editing more quickly. I'll show you how to create some intersections and a couple ways to get your turn restrictions correct. One way is fairly automatic, using some of the editor's features. Sometimes they don't work because of different objects in the map, and you have to do them manually, and I'll show you that as well. Don't know what Waze is? Free turn-by-turn GPS navigation for your smartphone with live traffic, routing based on actual average speeds of Waze users, automatically routes you around traffic problems based on those live traffic reports, maps are updatable by any user, as you can see. I've been using it for a couple months now, and it's great and has got great potential. It will get better and better as we get more people out there driving with it. Definitely worth checking out if you have a GPS-enabled smartphone. PS - I'm Shorty-CM over on the Waze forums, by the way.
