A Severe thunderstorm watch is issued for a strengthening line of thunderstorms in Illinois. I had to go to a baseball game that day in Cincinnati D: It seems whenever I go to a Reds game, there's severe weather.
A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT... or is it?
The eastern severe thunderstorm warning is cancelled.

Update to Severe thunderstorm warning
Severe Thunderstorm Warning is issued on the storm that had already moved over my house. The warning was for Eastern Franklin, Southwest Scott, and Northern Woodford until 3 AM, The warning eventually got cancelled at about 8 til 3 for Franklin and Woodford counties. At 1:41 in the video, A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for E Shelby, N Franklin, SE Henry until 3:15 with those storms from Louisville.
Since Saturday, I have been getting boosted rain chances because of Hurricane Alex. At the end of the video, if you look on the left, you can see Alex. Before anyone asks, music is from a live stream of a local radio station in my area. Songs: 1. "Saturday in the Park" by Chicago 2. "Soul Man" by Sam & Dave 3. Unknown
Features music from April 2007 Daytime and February 2007 Overnight
This movie shows that spring has sprung throughout the northeast and midwest, even thunderstorms and isolated severe weather. The first video in the movie features mainly sunny and springlike current conditions; there wasn't a cloud in the sky to be seen! The daypart forecast reveals the guts and galore with rain & t-storms. Also, the intellistar cued 3 seconds later as the satelite cued first, so you'll hear TWC on air at the end. The second video is about the same, execpt it was taken on Monday morning (:28 without the daypart forecast), and the evening forecast was updated overnight (TWC updates forecasts at least 3 times a day). The third one was not recorded by me. In reality, I live with exactly 7 siblings (my oldest sister is a college student who is away most of the time), and my brother Joseph, who is 2 years younger than I am, immediately recorded Weatherscan in severe weather mode while rapidly shaking the camera. Yes, an isolated severe thunderstorm was spotted near Carroll County, so the National Weather Service (NOAA) issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the area. The last video clip of this movie features a thunderstorm moving at a north direction toward my area. There were a couple rumbles of thunder and I think I saw a cloud to cloudlightning strike as the storm moved in... Anyway, I hope that you enjoy this movie and if you wish please send your comments/video responses about how noisy it was out there. Music Indentification: First song: Sparks by ...

weatherscan during a flash flood watch
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! This video spotlights the emulator running on a newer computer, having the ability to transition the pages more fluently! I am just experiencing an issue with the NVidia card's S-Video output showing a black border. I am up for some advice on this. Meanwhile, Enjoy!!
Some of the ground clutter ends up shown on the RADAR with that straight cut off edge.
Part 2
Tropical depression Ike (that's what it was by then) came over Illinois and dumped MASSIVE amounts of rain on us. It was extreme! We got 5 feet of flood water in our basement and it took 3 days to drain out as it overwhelmed our sump pumps. Ruined almost everything in our basement including our heating system and hot water heater.
Heat advisory and severe thunderstorm watch 480 in effect This was a really bad heat wave, one of the worst early heat waves. We usually don't get heat waves in IL until the end of July/Beginning of August.
Severe weather mode and rapidly forming storms. Severe thunderstorm watch 892
Severe thunderstorm watch 872 Heavy thunderstorms. Quite a large storm system developed quite rapidly!
Double wind advisories! FOR the LITCHFIELD segment: There is an extra screen shown on the NWS weather bulletins page! Quite rare to see: Flash flood watch Tornado watch 959 Wind advisory
This video should have been before the previous one but I put them in the wrong order :\
A squall line produces wind gusts to nearly 50 mph in my area. Note the cloudy icon with "windy" as the description. HiRAD was actually guessing squalls and windy for this location, as was the airport in Northeast Philadelphia. Apparently this is just what the STARs show for squalls.
Recorded with my brand spankin new laptop and tuner, no more VHS clips! What do you guys think?
Severe thunderstorm watch #689 in effect
A special weather statement
The extended forecast shows T'Storms or scat/isolated T'storms for every day of the week, even the bottom forecast segment shows T'Storms so it's kind of cool to see 10 T'Storm icons all flashing at once - Also a giant ground clutter appears briefly
A rare warm weather period with a thunderstorm and tornado warning and wind advisory in the middle of winter.
WeatherScan before a squall line hit us, it can be seen forming on the radar/satellite map at the western edge of Missouri on a NE-SW line moving west.

Thunderstorm as the current condition and stormy weather
The Pacific Northwest thunderstorm season for 2009 looks to be the most active I have seen in many years. Almost every time there is a passage that allows monsoon moisture combined with day time heating and humidity, we get these erupting thunderstorms. We had just gotten through possibly one of the biggest derecho events on June 4, and the storms won't go away. I love thunderstorms anyhow and this is fun! Perfect example of the Midwest if you ask me. Anyways, a severe thunderstorm developed in Clackamas County, with possible 1" hail and heavy rainfall. At 10:30 AM we were warned for developing thunderstorms by about 2 pm, and they were right. Another warning was issued at 5:24 pm for extreme southeastern Multnomah County and extreme northeastern Clackamas County. 1" hail and 60 mph winds were possible with that storm.
A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for Crook and Deschutes Counties, in Central Oregon today. On May 29 2009, numerous thunderstorms were developing along the Oregon Cascades. Storms were forecasted, and conditions were favorable for severe convection. Strong monsoon moisture from the desert southwest mixed with plenty of instability and hot temperatures combined. CAPE parameters went around 2000 - 3000 J/kg, leading to a moderately unstable atmoshpere. A thunderstorm near Bend was reported producing golfball sized hail w/ torrential rainfall, same with a another storm 2 counties north around the same time.
Heavy thunderstorm
Severe weather mode
On May 2 2009, scattered showers and thunderstorms developed across Northwest Oregon. There was little or no instability in the atmosphere, with low dew points and temps, so this was a surprise. One line of thunderstorms became severe with damaging winds above 50 mph, causing numerous power outages. We were not expecting strong storms today. The storm developed as a cluster of storms west of Salem, moving north. The cluster eventually organized itself into a line and took a slight "bow" shape. This thunderstorm did move over my area, but like usual, I just got the heavy rain with distant thunder. The storm footage was not worth uploading. A warning was issued as it moved into Portland Metropolitan area containing damaging winds. A wind gust was reported downing a tree in the eastern portion of Beaverton, resulting in one fatality. Many people in the Milwuakie area reported seeing a shelf cloud and numerous funnels that may have touched down. There was a delayed report of a 63 mph wind gust with some 3/4" hail, which was recieved a few days after. THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PORTLAND HAS ISSUED A * SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR... A tornado touched down near the Eugene Airport at about 3:16 PM, and another touched down near Beavercreek 7 miles SE of Oregon City at about 8:00 PM. The reason why these weren't tornado warnings, is because the thunderstorms that spawned the tornadoes never reached severe levels.
A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for the city of Corvallis in Western Oregon at 12:26 AM PDT on august 17 2008. This is not a mockup; I saw this on weatherscan. I couldn't catch this on my camera, becuase it didn't work at the time. I need a new one. (and a better one too)
I found this interesting because it has a title page, i never saw one before.
They issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Central Oregon on June 29, 2008. This is just one of many other warnings that were issued east of the Cascades. For many days in a row, from June 28 through July 3, severe thunderstorms produced large hail and gusty winds. a couple storms even produced golfball sized hail and 60 mph winds, events like this take place only a few times around this part. Pendleton, Northeast Oregon just got through a severe thunderstorm outbreak on june 21 2008, and Portland just got through a similar event on may 24, 2008, and look what happens! More severe weather! Looks like we got a small taste of what the midwest is like during the Spring and Summer.
Weatherscan Intellistar Version 2 From Memphis
Weatherscan's Severe Weather mode during a Severe Thunderstorm Warning.
It went from a watch to a warning- and notice that the announcer says the warning is issued the moment it appears on the ticker at the bottom! Also, the quaility is pretty bad because it is right at 100 megs like this and if I would of used the best quaility it would be way over 100 :P
