Addams Family Values is an Action RPG based on the film of the same name produced by Ocean Software and released in 1995 for the Sega Mega Drive and Super NES. Story Loosely based on the plot of the film, the player takes the role of Uncle Fester as he searches for the recently kidnapped baby Pubert. On the way he receives help from The Addams Family and a host of original characters from the game. Gameplay An action adventure game with slight RPG elements (you gain more hit points while proceeding in the game, can upgrade your equipment and special attacks). You control Fester, by moving him around, fighting regular enemies and bosses, talking to members of Addams household, and occasionally solving puzzles. The combat is pure action, Zelda-style.

Today, with the Stone Button, we can finally work on dealing with that problem Gomez gave us back when we first came to the Wetlands. Head west, and you'll eventually find an area that leads to Dungeon 5. Follow my lead, and you'll be in quickly. A lot of this dungeon is self-explanatory. There's not much tricky about it that you can't figure out with some experimenting. You absolutely must pick up Clyde's Cookie Compendium though, as it'll let Granny bake new cookies! The Warp Room is a bit tricky, especially if you don't read signs. When taking the right warp, use your stone button on the hole in the wall, and press the switch. The last one is up top, so hit it and you're ready to move on. Take the warp in the next room, and not the door to reach your next destination. Hit the switch cleverly hidden behind the bottom-leftmost pillar and open a route where you can pollute the water. After that, head through the left route next to where the button was. Take care of the cannon fodder if you wish, but the end goal is to use the warp pad to teleport to the boss... Which you'll have to wait until (Hopefully) tomorrow to see! I won't provide links to the rom, although I doubt you'd want to play anyways. :P
Ack... Sorry my loyal fans. It turns out that I've been having some video issues dealing with audio/video sync issues. I'm sure you noticed it last video. The only reason this video wasn't up yesterday was cause I needed to fix that. I only want the best in quality (Provided it's reasonable) for my fans, so I'll have to spend extra time ironing it out. Anyway, for the video... Alright, today we go back in a cycle, ending up back where Jip is in the Wetlands. We do traverse new ground though. We take the next stop on the TME to get to Dungeon 4, which has a few things to get. Head through the right, left, and left arches to grab the gold coin, then into the right arch to be teleported elsewhere. Head south and use the firefly to get out of the dungeon. Follow the lowest route, and you'll find a button to press. Afterward, take the stairs and cross the path above to get the Spider's Eye. This'll be used to finish the best sidequest ever, so make sure not to forget it! Head back into the dungeon and take the left exit from before to continue on. Work your way through like I do, and in the last room walk up through the spikes until you hear a dolphin-like sound. Walk back down and exit the dungeon through the new warp tile. We'll be back near the entrance to the Wetlands, so head to the left to get back to Jip. Use the Strange Black Cube to free him, and get a Stone Button in return. As I leave, the video ends. Alright first, let's get to work on Jip's quest. In the desert, head up and right a screen to find a small cave in the upper left hand corner. The monster there has bad indigestion which, oh look, Jip gave us to cure! Shoot some swamp slime in and you'll get a Strange Black Cube. After that, head to Pugsley and Wednesday to give them the candle. You'll get a Music Box and HP boost in return. Finally, we'll shrink the fatty blocking the TME, and finally get access! After one warp, the path will lead to the Stone Gardens, where Lurch is looking for Thing and needs our help. He'll give us his Bowling Ball after a bit of work, which allows us to break down walls and does a LOT of damage! Sweet item~ Anyway, the video ends as I leave the gardens. I won't provide links to the rom, although I doubt you'd want to play anyways. :P

Alright, today we finish up Dungeon 3! I really don't want to detail my course, just watch the video and follow me if you play this game. The worst room in this dungeon is around 1:35, where you have to be very precise with the timing and movements or else you'll get slaughtered. The center of the room gets shot at by two fireballs, as well as has fireballs jumping out of the lava to hit you as well. Be very careful and move the instant you can; you don't want to hang around here. Then at 2:45, welcome to the biggest pain of a room ever. Large fireballs shot out randomly of a lava waterfall, and you need to navigate through to hit the third and then first switch to get to Ma Hench. Ma Hench, if you abuse your cookies, is pathetically easy. Just eat an invincibility cookie when you're near death, recover your HP fully and go to town. She'll fall pretty quickly, although you'll probably have to deal with eating both invincibility cookies. It's better than having to deal with her attacks though, so I recommend you do it. After you beat her, Phweep gets his voice back and you grab a candle. Although logically this should do just fine, we need to go firefly hunting for a light for the next dungeon. We emerge in the swamp, and head back to the forests south of the greenhouse. Before you leave, enter the cave closest to the exit and climb the hills. Feed the plant at the top, walk through the swamp, and you'll arrive in another portion of the desert. Head north and find a cave ...
Ack. Sorry about not getting videos up, but it was exam week this week which meant studying and lots of it. @_@ As a result, things for private activities like this kinda got shelved. I also had some tech issues, like losing a lot of recorded progress due to the fact that I configured my recorder wrong... Bleh. I've made it up though and have tons of progress now, so hopefully (Unless things continue to go awry) I'll be able to consistently upload now. Anyway, today we start our way to the Trans-Mansion Express. To get there, return to the Swamps and head south. After one area, head to the left to find another segment of forest where we can meet Wednesday and Pugsley, who are searching for a psycho killer. They want you to make them a Jack-O-Lantern.... Which is perfect as we have a candle. Head down the stairs to find another part of the swamp. Follow the path around and you'll find the entrance to the Trans-Mansion Express, which is clogged with a fatty. Eventually, you decide to get a shrinking potion, so it's off to see Granny at the greenhouse! The video ends while I'm heading back. I won't provide links to the rom, although I doubt you'd want to play anyways. :P
Just with the previous video, there's not a whole lot to talk about in terms of where to go. This dungeon is completely straightforward. There's only one side route in here, and it leads you to an A Ball which restores your health completely. If you're running low, don't hesitate to grab it! Anyway, you'll eventually enter a room with four pillars, which leads you to the boss: Neo Plant Features. He's pretty simple. All he'll do is shoot balls of goo at you which takes simple movements to dodge. Eventually, he'll swing his heads around to damage you. Use this to attack them. Focus on one head, and when it's gone you'll have a much easier time. After one goes down, the other fires twice as fast, meaning it's still no different than before. Just wait for him to stop, then attack. He'll go down soon enough. Grab the Dr. Jibe's Plant food he drops and leave the Greenhouse. The last thing that's done is dropping off the Bone Spoon to Granny. After that, the video ends. I won't provide links to the rom, although I doubt you'd want to play anyways. :P
I really need to remember to get these videos out daily, not every other day. Oh well... Anyway, today we get through all of Dungeon 1. It's not horribly annoying, but the game itself decided to hate me and make me almost die on the way back. The start is simple, just use the warp point and walk from exit to exit as soon as you see one. Eventually, you'll end up in a bowling ball room. Head down and to the right to find a southern exit. Be careful in this room, as there are lots of little enemies that would like to hurt you a lot. Combined with all the columns, and... Yeah, it's an annoying room. If you have full health, it's not so bad, but if not... Past that room head out the upper left exit and pick up a greenhouse key. We'll need that later. After that, head to the right and enter a lava-filled room with fireballs flying everywhere. Get to the other side and hit the switch, then grab the Black Rose, and get out of the dungeon. Instead of giving it to the plant though, give it to Morticia to get an extra health point. Anyway, head back to the main garden and to the left. If you follow the upper left paths, you'll eventually find the greenhouse. Use the key, open the door, and inside is a plant named, well, Plant Features. It's too cold in this part of the greenhouse, and he wants you to take him to the tropical area. After he forces his way, I end the video. I won't provide links to the rom, although I doubt you'd want to play anyways. :P
What is this madness!? A movie game!? Yes, a movie game, get over it. :P Sorry about not getting this up earlier, YouTube was having issues. Addams Family Values manages to break the mold of cash-in movie games. Of course, it's by no means a superb gem of a game that'll be torturous if you don't play it, but it's not a hellish game that's terrible either. Overall, it's a fun, but insanely hard, game. For reasons I'll explain below. Essentially, the game doesn't follow the movie's plot. Instead, we have Debby Jellinsky kidnapping baby Pubert. You, playing as Fester, must get him back in a very Zelda-esque game. Anyway, today we start off exploring the gardens. The most important thing is talking to Granny. She gives you your first batch of cookies which can restore your health. After that, head to the left and go into the first dungeon. By "dungeon", I mean straightforward trek. At the end there's a boss which'll flail its arms at you. Just move out of their way and move up to attack between its attacks. If it swings an arm off to the side, use it to your advantage. Once it's dead, hit the switch and leave. The gate at the northern end of the garden is now open, and we can get into Jellinsky's yard. Our first task is given to us by a plant to get Jellinsky's Black Rose. He gives us a key which opens a gate on the right side of the first area, and the video ends as I go inside. I won't provide links to the rom, although I doubt you'd want to play anyways. :P
