They use their long pedipalps/antennae which have adhesive hairs on them to ensnare prey and drag it to it's double pincered jaws where it literally gets mashed up. Here's some information on these interesting animals, to hopefully clear up some of the myths. - Most Camel Spiders are not Venomous, (There is one species and one species only that may possess venom, and it's a rare one from India). -Camel Spiders are not a spider or a scorpion, they are in their own family of Arachnids, Solifugae. -Camel Spiders may very well chase you if you come accross one in the desert. Why? It's not because they are trying to attack you, but because they can't survive very long in the hot desert sun, so they will tag along in your shadow in order to keep a bit cooler. They will keep following you until they come to another shadow or some other area of retreat from the sun. -The largest Camel Spider (the Egyptian Camel Spider shown in this video) does not get over a foot in length.
