This is the same video posted before (with 446 views as of March 19, 2010) but it's been saved and uploaded in a better format and therefore this should be a higher quality than the previous one. This is a Baroque piece composed by Henry Purcell, using the words of Dr. William Fuller and performed by William Christie and Les Arts Florissants. The woman's voice is so pure and true to the music of the period, with no vibrato. I chose photos that attempt to capture the architecture of the day, especially in the cathedrals, organs and even the dress of the period. As a friend who is an Episcopal priest told me, he felt the piece was a representation of Anglican worship at it's finest. Another friend told me he always felt somehow "cleaner" after listening to Purcell. While I know that this is Baroque music I will include the word "classical" here as some lump all "old" music in that category.

Rhianna Birth name Rhianna Elizabeth Kenny. kent, England Genres R&B Occupations Singer Instruments Vocals Years active 2002-present Robin Hannah Louise "Rhianna" Kenny (born 7 January 1983,[1] Born in Leeds, Yorkshire, England[2]) professionally known as Rhianna, is an English R&B singer. Born to David and Linda Kenny, Rhianna started her career as a backing vocalist for her brother's band, LSK, but she later dropped out and went solo in her twenties.[2] She signed a recording contract with Sony Music to record her debut album, Get On.[2] Rhianna was fairly popular in the UK and Ireland with her first single, "Oh Baby", but ended her solo career, when her second single charted low in the UK Singles Chart.
I. (Satz I.) II. Courante. III. Adagio. Cordaria Ensemble: Walter Reiter, violin and concertmaster. Elizabeth Kenny (theorbo) & Frances Kelly (harp), continuo. ______________________________ Heinrich Ignaz Franz von Biber (AD 1644 - 1704) wrote his 15 'Rosenkranz-Sonaten' ('Rosary Sonatas') in order to give an appropriate accompainment to the Processions during the most important Christian Festivities: so, these 15 Sonatas for violin and throughout bass (each one inspired by a Mistery of the Christian Rosary) are divided into 3 groups (the one of the Joyful Mysteries, the one of the Sorrowful Mysteries and the last one of the Glorious Mysteries) each one of 5 Sonatas, plus a '16th Sonata', the famous solo-violin Passacaglia 'The Guardian Angel'. For their Age, these Sonatas were considered incredibly difficult and challenging, expecially because of the strange fingerings: Biber was a supreme virtuoso violinist and, probably, violist and was almost always looking for new timbrical and technical solution that could be applied on the intrument. In this set, the main innovation is the extensive use of the 'scordatura' (mistuning): except for the first Sonata and the final Passacaglia, the tuning of the strings doesn't follow the usual G-D'-A'-E'', but various alternative solutions are explored. In the case of the 'Nativity' Sonata, in B minor, the tuning is based on the splitted chord of the main key: BF#'-B'-D''.
Antonio Lucio Vivaldi (March 4, 1678 - July 28, 1741), nicknamed il Prete Rosso ("The Red Priest"), was a baroque composer and Venetian priest, as well as a famous virtuoso violinist, born and raised in the Republic of Venice. The Four Seasons, a series of four violin concerti, is his best-known work and a highly popular baroque piece. The performance in this video is with Janine Jansen: solo and Candida Thompson, Henk Rubingh, Elizabeth Kenny, Julian Rachlin, Maarten Jansen, Jan Jansen, Stacey Watton. Janine Jansen (January 7, 1978) is a world famous Dutch violinist. Jansen began to study the violin at age 6. She studied with Coosje Wijzenbeek, Philipp Hirshhorn, and Boris Belkin. Her father and both her brothers are also musicians. Her mother is a classical singer. Jansen appeared as soloist with the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland in 2001, where she performed the Brahms Violin Concerto. She opened the BBC Proms in 2005. When performing live, she is sometimes rather adventurous with her performance, with emphasis on emotional accents more than on precision or adherence to status quo. She has eschewed tradition by recording with only 5 solo strings rather than an orchestra, including her brother as cellist and father playing continuo. In live concerts, she has received standing ovations from enthusiastic audiences, such as in the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra 2006 concert in Berlin's Waldbühne Amphitheater, with a full attendance of 25000, and in Los Angeles at the ...

This is a Baroque piece composed by Henry Purcell, using the words of Dr. William Fuller and performed by William Christie and Les Arts Florissants. Of the recordings used on YT, I like this this version the best. My guess is you know the difference if you've read this far. youtube uploads struggle (sometimes, as in this case) with the details in photos when combined with slow zooms or pans. There is a far better version available at www.Photodex.com. Search under browse members - (type in - Merhlin). Thanks.

Wilson, born Robert Edward Wilson in Methodist Hospital, in Brooklyn, New York, spent his first years in Flatbush, and moved with his family to Gerritsen Beach around the age of 4 or 5, where they stayed until he turned 13. He suffered from polio as a child, and found generally effective treatment with the Kenny Method (created by Elizabeth Kenny) which the AMA repudiated at that time. Polio's effects remained with him throughout his life, usually manifesting as minor muscle spasms causing him to use a cane occasionally until 2000, when he experienced a major bout with post-polio syndrome that would continue until his death. He attended Catholic grammar school, most likely the school associated with Gerritsen Beach's Resurrection Church. He attended Brooklyn Tech for high school to remove himself from the Catholic influence. While working as an ambulance driver he attended New York University, studying engineering and mathematics. He worked as engineering aide, salesman, and copywriter and as associate editor for Playboy magazine from 1965 to 1971. He adopted his maternal grandfather's name, Anton, for his writings, at first telling himself that he would save the "Edward" for when he wrote the Great American Novel and later finding that "Robert Anton Wilson" had become an established identity. In 1979 he received a Ph.D. in psychology from Paideia University in California, an unaccredited institution that has since closed. The reworked dissertation found publication in ...

Multiple clips complied to give us insight into the life and theories of Robert Anton Wilson.Robert Anton Wilson (born Robert Edward Wilson, January 18, 1932 January 11, 2007) became, at various times, an American novelist, essayist, philosopher, polymath, psychonaut, futurist, libertarian, and self-described Agnostic Mystic. He described his work as an "attempt to break down conditioned associations—to look at the world in a new way, with many models recognized as models or maps and no one model elevated to the Truth." "My goal is to try to get people into a state of generalized agnosticism, not agnosticism about God alone, but agnosticism about everything." "Is", "is." "is" — the idiocy of the word haunts me.
