Our wikis are an excellent tool to create product documentation (in fact, we're using them for the product documentation for our own products) and readability is key to ensuring that your readers can easily discern the information they're looking for. To aid in this readability, we provide tools to allow wiki authors to create anchor links within a wiki document and then create a list or table of links that jump the reader to the specific anchor location within the wiki page. The same capabilities are also available for any content that uses the enhanced editor to create and edit (eg, blog post, forum post, advanced forum reply, etc.).
Almost all most all organizations have thought leaders and product content, but finding the data, the experts and a way to work together can present significant challenges. Customers are looking for ways to be more flexible and save money. Using Linux offers a great solution - but there are still some questions. For example: Linux OS might save me money, but isn't it hard to use? Can end users in my company be as productive with Linux? Isn't it easier for me to purchase laptops or desktops with Windows? Watch Grant Ho's latest video for answers to these common questions.
Nick Earle, SVP at Cisco, talks to me about what he's seeing happen inside the enterprise thanks to Web 2.0. Customization. Social networking. Changes to data centers and cloud computing. All that and more came up in this 30 minute interview. Earle is co-author of a book on this topic, too, called Mesh Collaboration.
Companies looking to implement social computing solutions into their business practices need to protect their investments by ensuring what they implement is relevant to an existing need. Whether creating a tool to connect the company to customers or one to connect peer employees to one another, know the problem you're trying to solve, know the need you're trying to meet, then design a relevant solution.
As they continue their deep space exploration, Enterprise comes across an alien ship where they discover humanoid corpses that seem to have been part of a scientific experiment. Attac: Arne, with „Capitalism 2.0" you have described a relative market economy. Why? Arne: I think, that there is no alternative to the free market economy, because it has turned out as the most efficient distribution system and as the only one that functions globaly and within democratic structures. However, there is a bug in the system -- the profit maximisation. Attac: Is the profit maximisation not just that, what constitutes the market economy and makes it so dynamic? Arne: Yes, but it is the only target figure that is pursued as an enterprise purpose. This is not enough. Thus, no elbowroom remains to enterpreneurs for ecologically friendly or social action, because exploitation always pays off in a short term. And, managers are rated by short-term objectives like quarter or annual reports. On a planet with limited resources, the resultant growth dynamism inevitable leads to a collapse. Attac: What changes „Capitalism 2.0" with relative market economy? Arne: Nowadays, there are two types of organisations: profit-oriented enterprises and non-profit organisations. However, there is nothing in between, for instance semi profit organisations respective Cap2Corps. Attac: How can we comprehend the meaning of Cap2Corps? Arne: Semi profitable enterprises would also have the possibility to balance qualitative values beside quantitative. That means, they can make profit, but also include qualitative growth in their corporate accounting by the use of more ecologically-friendly materials and methods. Thus, managers have scope of action for ecological improvements along the whole value creation chain, and needn´t to subordinate everything only to the profit-maximisation objective. Attac: How should these ecological improvements generally be made manageable on the balance sheet? Arne: The add-on costs of sustained ecologically friendly process and product solutions, in comparison to less ecologically friendly solutions, could be booked as, example given, non distributable profit. Attac: Such an enterprise maybe is more ecological, but it can never bring a profit, like real profit enterprises. Who should invest in Cap2Corps , instead of shares and stocks of „normal" full profit enterprises and groups? Arne: Everybody, who has found out for oneself, that his individual possibilities to cause improvements are marginal, can contribute with semi profit organisations in a systematical way to rescue our planets´ life variety. There are also people out there, who support environmental organisations with donations. In principle, it is better to take the environmental impact out of the value creation chains, instead of wanting to repair the consequences later on with donations or tax money. It is a fact, that our earth is bashed-up. Attac: How can individuals contribute systematically to changes? Arne: Even to the richest and mightiest man of the world it would not be possible to cause the turnaround of the ecological systems. This can only succeed by the collective humankind. If individuals have the possibility to shop competitive products with positive ecological balances from Cap2Corps, they will do it. Thus, ecologically- unfriendly products are edged out of the market and systematically demand-motivated positive ecological effects are achieved. One can see a participation in such enterprises as something between investment and donation. According to profit rate. Attac: Who fixes the relation between quantitative and qualitative success of the Cap2Corps? Arne: Enterprises, as global acting organisations, may have the power to pit countries against each other, because there are no superiour rules existing. Any country, or any corrupt authority will always tolerate ecological and social exploitation, directly or with suppliers and, in consequece, the profit from abuse. Therefore, the movement has to come from the enterprises, starting with a change of articles of incorporation by shareholders or stockholders. It needn´t to be always ecological profit relations, also social relations are imaginable. The relation between material and immaterial profit could be annuallly defined. Attac: Of all things, the capital shall bring the change in values? Arne: Yes, if enterprises do not relativize the maximisation of profits and do not operationalize qualitative target figures, the ecological and social strain will bring out totalitary distribution systems. Neither this will be of good for the capital, nor for the people, nor for the planet. Than, rather semi profit.

Over the past few years a wide array of "Web 2.0" technologies and communities have appeared on the Internet; these include Facebook, Twitter, Wikipedia, YouTube, and del.icio.us. Organizations are in the early stages of incorporating these tools into their work, a phenomenon I call "Enterprise 2.0." In this talk I'll give examples of Enterprise 2.0, folding them into a simple model intended to communicate the different categories of benefits conferred. About Andrew Andrew McAfee joined the faculty of the Technology and Operations Management Unit at Harvard Business School in 1998. His research investigates how managers can most effectively select, implement, and use Information Technology (IT) to achieve business goals. He was the recipient of a US Department of Energy Integrated Manufacturing Fellowship for his doctoral research, which focused on the performance impact of enterprise information technologies such as SAP's R/3. His current research falls into two categories. The first is an exploration of how Web 2.0 technologies can be used within the enterprise, and what their impact is likely to be. The second is a study of IT's impact over time on the structure of US industries and the nature of competition within them.
