Rashid Khalidi, on Democracy Now!, describes politics within Gaza saying that the Palestinians have long been feed up with both Fatah and Hamas. "In a free and fair election, they couldn't get 35% between the two of them." The US needs to understand that people are Gaza are separate from Hamas and Fatah. They are poor people who are being starved, shot and bombed in the dark and cold. It is a crime and time that we speak up.
Israel's actions are a rebuff to president elect Barack Obama. Rashid Khalidi, Edward Said Professor of Arab Studies at Columbia University

Story of Rashid Khalili
Guilt by association. John McCain, while he was Chairman of the IRI - International Republican Institute - gave more than $448 Thousand Dollars in grants to Dr. Rashid Khalidi, co-founder of the Center for Palestinian Research and Studies. So, playing McCain's game of guilt-by-association, we should hold him accountable for his ties to Rashid Khalidi. After all, $448 Thousand Dollars must strongly indicate that both John McCain and Rashid Khalid share the same beliefs, ideology and political agenda... Barack Obama sat in the audience, but he kept his money in his pocket. Only John McCain gave money to Khalid. Oh, by the way, William (Bill) Ayers also gave money to Khalid. So, McCain and Ayers and Khalid are all "associates", all with the same political agenda, ideology, beliefs, etc. Right? McCain-Ayers-Khalid are all connected, all guilty. Right? In regards to Khalidi, however, the guilt-by-association game burns John McCain as well. During the 1990s, while he served as chairman of the International Republican Institute (IRI), McCain distributed several grants to the Palestinian research center co-founded by Khalidi, including one worth half a million dollars. A 1998 tax filing for the McCain-led group shows a $448873 grant to Khalidi's Center for Palestine Research and Studies for work in the West Bank. (See grant number 5180, "West Bank: CPRS" on page 14 of this PDF.) The relationship extends back as far as 1993, when John McCain joined IRI as chairman in January ...

It's Fox News. And my reaction to Hannity's "investigative journalism".
Keith's campaign comment for Oct. 30, 2008. And it is one thing -- one stupid, cataclysmic thing -- to try to slime your opponent because of his relationship with some guy, only to then find out that your own candidate has a stronger relationship with that guy. But this graduates to the level of fatal political malpractice when the ultimate result of your effort to slime your opponent, is to in fact draw a parallel between your candidate, and William Ayers. The huffing, puffing, panicky McCain noise machine has really done it this time. John McCain, and William Ayers, both gave money to this man Rashid Khalidi. Senator McCain, you may want to get a pad and pencil here and write all this down. I'm actually going to agree with William Kristol, when he wrote in the New York Times, that you should fire your entire campaign staff. In three short steps, while trying to link Senator Obama to Rashid Khalidi... they have instead linked you to Rashid Khalidi...and Bill Ayers.
When apprached by a reporter, Rashid Khalidi refuses to answer any questions about his relationship with Obama.
