This wood pigeon with a nail in his head was first seen on our bird table about 10 days ago , the nail does not appear to be affecting him , but is obviously well in ; we have nicknamed him Jimmy Nail
this is more or less just an experiment for me to get used to refinishing wood stocks so it's mediocre at best but i am pleased with the turn out....well what looks to be the turn out lol
Here I show my finishing off a winter scene painting, of a wooded area at sunset. I have named it 'Mystery Of The Woods'.

homerepair.gregvan.com One of the biggest problems with a wood fence are the wood posts that start to decay, or get hit by a large colony of termites. One time I put a new fence post in, only to find out that my idea didn't work. Actually it was an idea that I read about in one of my favorite homebuilding magazines. The magazine article suggested that you paint the bottom of your wood post with a roofing tar and then install the wood post, to enjoying many years of a maintenance free fence. Instead of using a roofing tar, I painted the bottom of the wood post fence with an elastomeric paint in the wood post rotted within one year and needed to be replaced. I've tried putting gravel at the bottom of the fence posts, leaving the wood exposed at the bottom and quite a few different things and I'm here to report that I haven't came up with any improvements or tips that I could share with anyone that really worked good. Watch this video if you want to learn more about things I've done to wood posts that haven't worked well.
Enjoy :)

Ed Wood's first "major" film. IT IS TERRIBLE it's one of those movies that are so bad that they are good. It has a bizarre story, bad acting, and strange dialogue. The movie does not have the same outrageousness such as Plan 9 From Outer Space (1959) but still is hilarious. The first part of the film begins with a narrator named The Scientist (Bela Lugosi) making cryptic comments about humanity. The film proper opens with Inspector Warren finding the corpse of a male transvestite named Patrick/Patricia, who has committed suicide. Wanting to know more about cross-dressing, Warren seeks out Dr. Alton, who narrates for him the story of Glen/Glenda. However, at several points Alton appears to address the viewer rather than Inspector Warren, and the unclear role of the Scientist as narrator makes things even more confusing. Glen is shown studying women's clothes in a shop window. Dr. Alton points out that men's clothes are dull and restrictive, whereas women can adorn themselves with attractive clothing. He also makes some more bizarre statements, such as that baldness is caused by hats. Glen reads about sex change operations in a newspaper, then meets with Barbara, his girlfriend, who asks if Glen's secret problem is another women. The film then cuts to the (in)famous shot of the Scientist shouting "Pull the string!" as bison stampede onscreen. It is not clear what this is meant to mean; perhaps that Glen should act as puppeteer, controlling his own life instead of letting ...

Big, bad, and heavy. But it sure works good. That's the excellent Ontario RTAK II knife. It has an easily classifiabable POU as a larger survival blade with of course secondard uses as an emergency defensive tool as well. At this point in TNP, the RTAK II has already proven itself as a capable warrior, even in frigid snowy conditions (video). For an amazingly low price (subject to change!), the Ontario RTAK II supplies its user with a long, full-tang 1/4" thick 1095 blade, a well-shaped ...
www.planet-vienna.com ... This is my personal favourite orchestral version of this terrific masterpiece. Played by Vienna Symphony Orchestra, Conductor: Robert Stolz (!) Robert Stolz himself is known as the last composer of the classical viennese aera. He was the one who knew best how a Strauss waltz has to be arranged and how the orchestra has to play it. That's why I adore this recording so much! It's 100% authentic and even the Vienna Philharmonics won't do it better. I had to shorten the track coz it was longer than 10 minutes. The intro has been removed. But never mind, the zither theme of the intro is played again at the end of the waltz. ___________________ Tales from the Vienna woods ウィーンの森の物語小约翰·施特劳斯योहान स्ट्रॉस दुसरा ヨハン・シュトラウス2世

How could it be that Ed Wood, Jr., the young man who wore a woman's bra and panties at the Battle of Tarawa in World War II, went on to become the Orson Welles of low-budget films? Through film clips, still photos and extensive interviews with the bizarre cadre of actors, ministers and girlfriends who were involved in such projects as Woods' "Plan 9 from Outer Space" and "Glen or Glenda?," this film explores the man and cult legend that has sprung up since his death. Wood's status as the ...

PART 1 OF 2: A detailed fire making exercise in the Southeastern United States by Nutnfancy. Quite a different climate and foliage than the usual Nutnfancy Knife Clinic in the Rocky Mountains, this southern location provided an equally excellent location for wilderness craft. Tools used included the excellent, high value KaBar Heavy Bowie and Cold Steel Roach Belly knives, a Sawvivor backpacking saw, WD40, and a Light My Fire flint and steel. All came along and were used for demonstration purposes but not necessarily by necessity. The intent is to show viable backpacking fire tools that will get the job doneweight and compactness for carry purposes being important considerations. The secret time-saving weapon in this particular time-crunched clinic was one stick of fatwood, discussed in the video. Safety considerations, chopping, cutting, knife philosophy, and fire building techniques are necessarily discussed as the work progresses in this two-part series. If the response is good, I may do more wilderness skills videos but they might be few since they take a lot of work and are time-consuming.
Yellowcard- Holly Wood Died Accidents out on the highway to somewhere They tell us about when we were young Rescuers working to clean up the crashes Before she can see what they've done Nobody told her she'd lose in the first round The last fight was fixed from the start Name's on her side walks They move through her body Like razors they cut through her heart Like razors they cut through her heart [Chorus] Hey let go Of all you know And get fired away now What have you got to lose And say out loud These words I found I'll be back when you come down I'll be waiting for you The night life The high life She just wants a good life So someone remembers her too But somewhere she heard there was some place to go when You die when you live like we do Die when you live like we do [Chorus repeat] [First verse background]
