Aw, man. Words cannot express how much I LOVE THIS MOVIE. Seriously. it was so good. I love period dramas and this one was excellent. It may very well be my fave period piece. I'm also the biggest English nerd on this side of the galaxy so when my friend told me there was a movie about John Keats I was, "John Keats? OMG. THE John Keats?" And I instantly spent 49685465 hours trying to find a copy that actually worked. LOL. Seriously, though, I'm such a nerd. I was reciting the sonnets with the characters whenever they started to say one of Keats' works (which was, you know, relatively often obviously LOL). Even when I saw the title of "Eve of St.Agnes" at one point I just went, "OMG. I KNOW THAT! YAY!" Haha. It was one big nerd-fest yesterday. But awesome. So awesome. Even if you're not an English nerd like me you'll probably like the movie. I knew the ending would be sad. I mean, Keats died of consumption at 25. I was always intrigued by his relationship with Fanny, as well. It sounded so tragically romantic. And I'm not really a huge romantic by any means. i mean, I like romance stories well enough, obviously, *cough.RomeoetJulietteobsessioncough* but still...ya know? Anyway. Women, studies have shown, talk on average 3 times as much as men. The top five things women talk about are the following- 1.general gossip 2.men 3.sex 4.celebrities 5.dieting In a recent poll, 90% of people interviewed said that the word emotion is more commonly applied to women. Talking, for a woman, triggers a flood of brain chemicals which give women a rush similar to that felt by heroin addicts when they get a high. But could the reason for women talking about emotions more frequently than men be because of cultural influences? A female child is more likely to be encouraged to cry when hurt, or to express their emotions, but young boys are often told to grow up when they cry and are prevented from showing feelings.
