Fort Worth based EVCARCO is taking initiative to help with Greening the Government through Efficient Energy Management. EVCARCO journied to the Kennedy Learning Center at NASA headquarters in Florida to initiate a series of programs aimed at the introduction of electric and alternative fuel vehicles into Federal Government fleet programs. NASA scientists and directors were able to test drive the latest in electric vehicles, such as the Wheego, an American made electric coupe, and the Tazzarri Zero, an Italian built lithium ion roadster. The FOTON, a high output all terrain vehicle, was also tested. EVCARCO's CEO Dale Long shared his company's vision with NASA and discussed the future with the organization's directors. Long stated that EVCARCO is looking forward to a long relationship with NASA and hopes to gain significant applied science relationships through the partnership. Mr. Long eluded to the possibility of enhancing their products for Government applications. Chief Operations Officer Scott ONeal stated that EVCARCO's vision has always been to help bridge the gap between advanced electric vehicle technologies from emerging manufactures to the American consumer, and that launching the Federal Fleet Division with NASA gives insight to their commitments. EVCARCO recently announced the development of Military Grade Electric Tactical Units, search and seizure models for Homeland security, as well as base surveillance models. The move according to EVCARCO was introduced ...

We are the exclusive Wheego dealer in Northern California. The Wheego Whip is classified as a Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) by NHTSA, with a top speed of 35 MPH (or 25 MPH depending on State laws) and a range of 40 miles. It can easily charge using a regular household power plug of 110/120 volts, and it takes 8-10 hours to fully charge. Charging times can be shortened by using a 220/240 volts, plus it has the option of using dual chargers that cuts the charging time to around 5 hours. It uses a sealed glass mat lead-acid battery pack. The electric motor is a 3 phase induction AC type, so it does not require any maintenance, and provides a flat torque curve of 110 lbs-ft and 40 peak horsepower. The Wheego Whip is nicely equipped with power windows, power locks with remote keyless entry, power mirrors, leather-wrapped steering wheel, reclining bucket seats trimmed in cloth, driver's seat has a 6-way adjuster, a JVC sound system with CD/MP3 player, a USB port and optional Bluetooth interface, fog lamps, 15" alloy wheels, power front disc/rear drum brakes, body color folding side mirrors with built-in turn signals, deep tinted rear quarter glass, 2-way tailgate, and much more! Electric cars may be the future of the automotive industry, so we took a spin in one from Wheego Electric Cars Inc. along with Wheego CEO Mike McQuarry. The startup, which is seeking $2.5 million in venture capital, has produced a two-seater city car called the Whip, which can reach speeds of up to 35 miles per hour and travel up to 50 miles on an eight-hour charge. While it is not as sleek as the better known, faster alternative, the Tesla Roadster (base price: $109000), the Wheego at $19500 before a $7500 government incentive costs a pittance in comparison. See the video below or download it at iTunes.
