When The Devil Went To Ge has no followers yet. Be the first one to follow.
For everybody out there that knows and loves "The Devil Went Down to Georgia," here is a spoof that was written by my photography friend Boaz Zippor in Bangkok. He wrote these lyrics that discuss the battle between an "Isan" Thai woman and the Devil to see who has the hottest chilies! Written by an Israeli and performed by an American...recorded with an iPhone. Lyrics: The devil went down to i-san he was looking for something hot He needed something spicy red to melt his melting pot When he came upon a dark haired girl selling chilies prik-kee-noo and the devil jumped up on a hickory stump and said :"I'll tell you what we'll do "I bet you didn't know it but I got chilies that can't miss "and if you'd care to take a dare, I'll make a bet on this your chilies look so mighty red, but trust this lying tongue: the devil's chilies grow in hell, I ain't no damn farang. the girl said, my names om and it might be a sin, but I'll take your bet, you're gonna regret, 'cos my pricks are mighty mean." pee-om crush those chilies hard, and add a bit of lime 'cos hells broke loose in i-san and you're running out of time. and if you win you get the devil's mighty hoard of gold, But if you lose, the devil gets your soul. The devil opened up his case and he said: "behold my stash." And fire flew from his fingertips as he touched the parikash. And he pulled a fresh small chilly and it made an evil hiss. Then a band of demons joined in and it sounded something like this. When the devil ...
took about a billion tries lol yeah i just kinda randomly strum through the first part, and ive fc'ed it that way about 20 times, so i dont think ill try to figure out how to strum it all exactly but if i get bored one day i might idk
Many people ask how to learn Devil went down to Georgia on the fiddle. This is a very popular fiddle piece that is a country music song by Charlie Daniels. Devil went down to Georgia is taught on violin from beginning to end in this 3 part series. Distributed by Tubemogul.
The Devil Went Down to Georgia - by Charlie Daniels Band That JUST fucking happened. No FC, 3 overstrums, 1 in each devil strumming section, but still, holy fucking fuck. I NEVER even thought that this would happen, 100 fucking percent on this song? Give me a break. I just started practicing this song just a few weeks ago again, and I've improved on it SO much, so fast. I'm basically consistent outside of the fast strumming now and rarely do miss outside of it. But the strumming IS a pain in the ass for me, and once I overstrummed the third time in this run and realized I still hadn't missed a note, I just decided to say fuck it, and go for the 100. Why not. And I did it, wow. For now, I'm done with this song for a while, as winter break is now ending and also I really just want a break from this song. I've played it enough, and this is the result. I almost don't even care I didn't get an FC, I'm still so shocked I got 100%. FC later in the future will happen, but not really anytime soon, as I said. I'm still just so happy I got this. *** ALSO, incase you were wondering why I had no reaction, well I actually did. But I was streaming at the time of doing this, and I was typing my reaction basically, as you can hear the clicking in the background when I pause and at the end of the video. ***
Just watch the video. It'll happen soon, I know it.
The Devil Went Down To Georgia - by Charlie Daniels Band Alright. so here's the video I said I'd upload of the crazy random run of The Devil Went Down To Georgia.. I'm going to be honest right now like seriously, every miss that I see when I watch this video makes me say to myself, "out of all the things I FC'd in this run, I MISSED THERE!?!" with the exception of Victory Solo R, and Verse 4 kinda. So yeah, haha, a 101k or so score boost on this song within a few day of practicing this song.. pretty sweet I guess, now that I can technically say that I can pretty much FC this song with a lot of time now... and an Xbox360 of course. ~.~ I should probably be getting that back sometime soon hopefully since I had to send it in again, then I'll see what I can do. Oh yeah, can't forget about Revolution Deathsquad. -_- That one is going to be a pain in the ass all over again. Just couldn't manage one single run without missing a stupid note. Oh well lol, and since I've been using a broken guitar (broken meaning, was snapped in half (long and funny story, and I'd rather not type any more than I already am lol) and glued back together) for.. probably coming close to 9 months now, and it'll probably break completely on me really soon. So what I'm saying is that when that does happen, I'll probably get like a set of Ions if I have the money then or something, and possibly could make some videos once I start to get at least a little better than I am now. =P Anyways, enough with the ...
The Devil Went Down To Georgia - by Charlie Daniels Band Wow. I literally had said, one week before I did this, that I would NEVER even come close to FCing TDWDTG, after I had been told by so many people "omg Jprezz44 can u fc dwdtg plz", since my highscore on this song was only like, 748k. (Which is like, I think about 140k or something from an FC score) I started practicing this song a little bit, finding good methods for each section and such, and managed to come up with this. I SUCK at Victory Solo R, and hitting that stupid Verse 4 section is what I have to figure out next, since I have not even attempted to whatsoever yet. I also SOMEHOW, am good at the fast strumming in this song, (you know, the 20 notes per second strumming? =p) and managed to FC the intro strumming THREE times while playing through runs of this song. And I can hit the Verse 2 20nps strumming like 90% of the time now... lol? Anyways, I have a crazy, and I mean a CRAZY run of this song on video now, which I've actually had for like 2 months (lol) which is also how old this video is too. And FYI, my Xbox360 got the RROD a while ago, and I should have a new one soon. Oh, and this "crazy run" video that I said I had on this song, will be uploaded shortly, let's just say I think it's the highest score of this song on video, with the exception of GHP's FC of this song, of course. Wow, did I just type all of that? ..lol, enjoy, and look forward to the next video that should be up by Thursday. :D EDIT: Ok ...

This Charlie Daniels song is most known for the fiddle solos. I just wanted to try something on the piano. I haven't really put a lot of effort into it. I just wanted to get it out there and see what you guys thought. Is it worth the effort to clean it up and see what I get? Thanks for watching. Please let me know what you think!

EDIT: jameslikecoulter's original channel was recently revived, so the original Gergorge dub video is back. ========== As you've probably heard by now, jameslikecoulter's YouTube channel was suspended due to a coyright claim by none other whan WM-bloody-G. Over a cover of La Grange with non-optimal sound quality. Yeah, exactly. I was wise to save this epic video to my hard drive, so I'm re-posting it here. I couldn't get the High-Quality FLV I had to convert, so bear with the terrible video quality. And hopefully the A/V won't get desync'd again. As with my re-posting of toymachine's Timmy video, I do not intend to use these awesome videos to boost my own rep. They are simply epic clips that deserve to stay on the 'Tube. Oh, and sub to jameslikecrazySH. DO IT NOW. www.youtube.com Last note: I'm working on a videoblog type thing. It's really far from perfect, but I could do with some feedback on them. www.jameslikecoulter.net ----------------------------------------- The Devil Went Down To Georgia HARD DIFFICULTY - 100% FC Terrible Score (messed up path at the end, it cost me a lot). I might Re-FC I dunno. This took me like an hour exactly, but ONE LONG HOUR. This was live on stream, and people should remember me choking in Victory Solo R like 3 different times. It was very aggravating. This just shows how amazing Phenom's Expert FC of this was. This was a pretty "cool" FC, and someone mentioned it to me in SH the other day, so I tried it. Hard difficulty is ridiculously easy though, I mean if the people on my stream remember I sightread (FIRST TIME EVER SEEING OR PLAYING) FCed Soothsayer. Don't expect too many hard FC's from me. Devil Went Down to Georgia Hard FC 714k --- woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh *exclamation of excitement* This is why I haven't had any videos the past few days. I was trying to FC this :p. Very very difficult, harder than 99% of my X FC's. This is the 3rd FC ever by the way :D (and 2nd place) Probably could get 1st if I whammied in Chorus 1 before that trill, but I was missing there WAY too much so I decided to just get set for tapping before the hold note and forget the whammying. shout out to whoever charted this. And by shout out I mean "DAMN YOU" Back to X tomorrow I guess, wait...actually Travis Barker DLC tomorrow :D :D Expect vids of drums :)
Devil Went Down To Georgia 687k 95% -- Wow, this was a good run :D Believe it or not I still made a few stupid mistakes (one SP override at the BO trill in Victory Solo...H or I or something along with some easier parts missed.) My goal is 700k for now, I know I can definitely get it. I should work on Verse 2 (the evil hiss) more because I'm missing a lot of points there. Anyway, if you comment on this telling me A. I suck B. You're better than me C. You could do this You better be one of the top 36 scores on this song, because as of this upload I'm ranked 36th. Basically, most of you have no right to make that comment :) Enjoy the video, I have a VSQ FC vid that I'll probably upload tomorrow..I wasn't planning on uploading anything tonight but I felt like playing some more and this run was too awesome to not upload. 40k increase on my high score too, very very nice for a few hours of practice.
What can I say about this wonderful, wonderful track? I LOVE IT!!!! I always have, ever since I first heard it when I was a teenager (er, 30 years ago?!). Every now and then, I have sat down and tried to play along to it. I always speeded-up, always got it wrong, never got the accents right and generally made a mess of it! But I have always had a blast trying! I could not resist trying to do a half decent version for YouTube, and I think I have just about got on camera what I wanted. In this first video (there is another to come, with out-takes) I don't play the outro properly and there are some other bits that went wrong. Overall though, it is a 'nearly'! I have to admit that I over-play the two 'drummy' bits! I guess every drummer would want to stuff this bit full of enormous Neil Peart Rush-type mega fills, and I am no exception!!!! It seems to be begging for it! Unfortunately (a) I am certainly not Mr. Peart and (b) my double bass drum work has never been my strong-point and (c) the accoustics seem to have resulted in the very fast 'Peart-doubles' sounding like singles. Pants, pants and double pants. You will just have to believe me when I say that I DID play doubles, and they DID come out right! It actually sounds better on the second video, if you watch that. Very hard to get the music loud enough on this vid - the fantastic sounds created by the rest of the band in this track are hard to pick out - I urge anyone who has not heard this track before to go get it - it ...

This is our performance of Guitar Hero III's (Steve Ouimette's) The Devil Went Down to Georgia at the 2008 WVHS Impersonation Assembly. The assembly happens every year, where 10 to 15 groups are picked to perform covers of various songs. We auditioned with TDWDtG and managed to get one of the 3 coveted band performance spots. This was shot right next to an amp, so the audio is a little sketchy in places.

www.rockbandparts.com - The best product, best warranty, best prices. PERIOD. Destroyer Pedal, ION Drums, and MORE! ---- Sorry about the quality. I lost the AC adapter to my video camera so just used a regular camera to capture this. Also, thanks to Darin at www.redcatracing.com for the video idea.
EDIT: Okay guys, this was almost two years ago; both James and I have gotten LEAGUES better since making this. James's score on this is now like 820k or something, and my high is 728k. jameslikecoulter and me ripping up the game's toughest song (in my opinion.) He's on the right, I'm on the left. Okay, our star power was screwed up for some reason, so whatever...also, my camera ran out of memory right after the solo, AND we barely missed a million points. Still, it was sweet to get to play with him.

Bah, an average run, Will get the 5star soon ;)Enjoy! ;) Oh, and I hate my playing style for one thing, in a solo, or after, I sometimes sit with my guitar 90 degrees up in the air = Voilà Starpower activated in the most stupid place ever! xP *EDIT* My current score on this song is 489k. Which is 2-3k away from the five stars I will try to get the 5star on vid when I get it =)

a RE4 movie with the charlie daniels band's song the Devil went down to Georgia To get the song go to: phobos.apple.com Lyrics: The devil went down to Georgia. He was lookin' for a soul to steal. He was in a bind 'cause he was way behind, and he was willin' to make a deal, when he came across this young man sawin' on a fiddle and playin' it hot. And the devil jumped up on a hickory stump and said, "Boy, let me tell you what. I guess you didn't know it but I'm a fiddle player, too. And if you'd care to take a dare, I'll make a bet with you. Now, you play pretty good fiddle, boy, but give the devil his due. I'll bet a fiddle of gold against your soul, 'cause I think I'm better than you." The boy said, "My name's Johnny, and it might be a sin. But I'll take your bet, you're gonna regret, 'cause I'm the best that's ever been." Johnny, rosin up your bow and play your fiddle hard, 'cause hell's broke loose in Georgia and the devil deals the cards. And if you win you get this shiny fiddle made of gold. But if you lose, the devil gets your soul. The devil opened up his case and he said, "I'll start this show." And fire flew from his fingertips as he rosined up his bow. And he pulled the bow across the strings and it made an evil hiss. Then a band of demons joined in and it sounded somethin' like this: When the devil finished, Johnny said, "Well, you're pretty good, old son, but sit down in that chair right there and let me show you how it's done. Fire on the mountain. Run, boys ...
The Charlie Daniels Band - The Devil Went Down To Georgia
this song is so rough. took me a while but I finally five starred it. Run was kinda sloppy, I might do another real soon but for now I feel pretty good about this.
Id say this is harder than TTFAF
This is the really easy way to beat Lou. You probably cant see the notes too great cause the contrast is messed up but here it is: 1- Play until Lou gets his first powerup. If its a broken string or Whammy shake it off, and play your powerup. If it's a lefty flip, either close your eyes and play the part from memory, or get a mirror, and look into that. You need to get YOUR powerup. If its double notes your kinda dicked, you might want to restart. 2- Get your powerup. If its not a whammy bar, restart 3- Use it a few seconds later when he gets a long line of greens. 4- Laugh.
Well I refused to save powerups or restart when I got doubles or lefty flips or didn't get the cheese gem(whammy on the first powerup), and this is the end result. Enjoy
First time beating this song on Expert. Took 4 tries, and ending up spending 4hrs 25min to beat GH3 from start to finish. I'd like to answer most of your questions and comments right now. "This is not expert, it's hard" - try watching the whole vid, or skipping to the end, where it says Congratulations, You Just Beat GH3 on Expert "How do you play as the God of Rock" - Go buy him in the store, unless you have a ps2, then you're out of luck "You used Hyperspeed, you cheated!" - I did use Hyperspeed 1 on this. it is not considered cheating by guitarhero.com or scorehero.com, but if you feel I cheated, then i guess I cheated. "You need to get a life, or go outside and make friends" - you need to away, your comments aren't welcome -hope you enjoy the vid

Saw this on the GameFAQ's board and thought it deserved a video, mainly because it's an awesome song. Update: Well, the game's been out for about 5 days as of this update and I finally beat this song. It is pretty hard, so yeah. Update, December 9: Alright, I have gotten alot of requests to post where you can download the mp3 of this file. Here's the link to the song: www.mp3tube.net And I used a program called Audio Hijack to get it. I believe it's only for Mac OSX, but if you don't have a Mac you can always message me, and I'll email you the file. UPDATE: December 12: Seriously, people? SERIOUSLY? If you're gonna insult the video, do it with a hint of intelligence, please. Any biased/idiotic negative review containing, but not limiting, "sux, gay, fag, or homo" will be either mocked ruthlessly or deleted. Most likely mocked. Jason loves him a good mocking. Also, 40k views. Yippy skippy. UPDATE: December 19: Oh my god, my inbox is being flooded. Just letting you guys know that I might not email you the mp3 right away, for I am a busy guy, what with school not ending for another 2 days. (un-freaking-fair), homework, RAWK BAND, and various other things. Update 1/27/08: Happy belated New Years, blah blah. Anyways.... 60k views! :D Edit, February 4: I've been getting alot of messages to send you guys the song. Half of which don't have an e-mail address in them. Can't really send it to no one. Not psychic.

Charles Edward "Charlie" Daniels (born October 28, 1936 in Wilmington, North Carolina) is an American musician famous for his contributions to Country, Southern Rock, and Jazz music. Daniels, a talented singer, guitarist, and fiddler, began writing and performing in the 1950s. In 1964, Daniels co-wrote "It Hurts Me", a song which Elvis Presley recorded. He worked as a Nashville session musician, often for producer Bob Johnston, including playing on three Bob Dylan albums during 1969 and 1970, and recordings by Johnny Cash and Leonard Cohen. Daniels recorded his first solo album, Charlie Daniels, in 1971 (see 1971 in country music). His first hit, the novelty song "Uneasy Rider", was from his 1972 second album, Honey in the Rock, and reached #9 on the Billboard Hot 100. Except for a three-year gap in the late 1980s, these jams have continued ever since. In 1975, he had a top 30 hit as leader of the Charlie Daniels Band with the Southern Rock self-identification anthem "The South's Gonna Do It Again". "Long Haired Country Boy" was also a minor hit in that year. Daniels won the Grammy Award for Best Country Vocal Performance in 1979 for "The Devil Went Down to Georgia", which reached #3 on the charts. Subsequent Daniels pop hits included "In America" (#11 in 1980), "The Legend of Wooley Swamp" (#31 in 1980), and "Still in Saigon" (#22 in 1982). In the late ...
